Pavilion Hotel

My husband and I had an unforgettable experience at this hotel in Phnom Penh. The beautiful buildings and grounds create a serene oasis amidst the city’s vibrant energy. The trees and tropical plants surrounding the pools are particularly stunning, and we enjoyed watching birds while relaxing at the pool. The restaurant and bar staff were exceptional. Kakada, in particular, was incredibly kind, dedicated, and made our stay truly memorable. He went above and beyond by ensuring we had our favorite fruit and coffee every morning. The breakfast is delicious, and you can order as many dishes as you like. We’ll definitely be returning and staying here again!

This place is a little sanctuary. As soon as you walk through the door, all your troubles disappear. You are so well looked after by all the staff. The swimming pools and lounge areas are tranquil and beautifully maintained. Tea, coffee, water, and biscuits are available all day. Housekeeping keeps the rooms spotless, and we really appreciated the option to keep our linen and sheets rather than having them washed every day — something we didn’t experience elsewhere in Cambodia. It was my husband’s birthday during our stay, and he was genuinely touched by the flowers and gift. Such a personal and kind gesture. The food is excellent. Breakfast is à la carte, but you can order as much as you like. The big advantage is that everything is fresh and cooked to order, with no old buffet food sitting around. They even had soya milk! The wine and cocktails were also great. We loved it so much that after motorbiking around the country for a month, we came back and felt like we were being welcomed home by old friends.

The Pavilion defied all my dreams of exactly what a beautiful Indochina boutique hotel should be. It was filled with beauty and detail. It felt like I was staying in a close friends private home. It combines history with modern amenities. It invites you in, and you really do not want to leave the lemongrass scented property. The relaxation pools are simply stunning…. And quiet. The rooms are a step back into an older Vietnam, sophisticated and comfort oriented. Clean, polished, warm and inviting. The dining area is a magical sparkly patio area with comfort food and sophisticated libations.|The staff are warm and welcoming and also afford you your privacy. They are so concerned with the clients needs. |For a step back into a hidden, magical garden, stay here and you will always return to it, especially in your mind.|Thank you for being a place we will never forget, ever.

The old part of the hotel has been beautifully restored, with lovely lush gardens around the pool. It seems like an oasis from the busy street outside. Location is convenient, near the Royal Palace. The staff on reception were super helpful and responsive. There are no lifts, only stairs up to higher floors, so something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. The room was basic, but clean and had beautiful ornate ceilings. Power points in the room were very limited, but room safe size was good. Mattress on the bed was a bit lumpy so wasn't a great sleep. However the reason for my overall low score is that unfortunately we got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant. This was the only place we ate during our short stay in Phnom Penh so it can't be from elsewhere. Based on the timing, we think my husband got it from his breakfast meal and me from lunch. It has seriously disrupted our holiday in Cambodia which is so disappointing. Definitely avoid eating here. The service of the reception staff saved the hotel from getting only 1 star with my review.

Well this is a find! Shhhh, don't tell anyone but this is Phnom Penh's best hotel. A little secret oasis behind an unassuming wall right in the centre of town. Its an old colonial style house covered in art work and converted to one of the finest boutique hotels in SEA. Its not super luxurious but what it lacks in luxury it makes up for in charm. The common areas are amazing. Our room was huge and had a balcony. Two pools mean its never busy and the breakfast was the best we've had in Cambodia on this trip. Highly recommended but don't tell anyone else. Dont want the secret to get out.

The hotel is perfectly located to go out and explore a lot of the city’s main places. The rooms are full of beautiful light and very spacious. The service was very considerate during the end of year holiday seasons with offered champagne and delicacies. The hotel features two beautiful pools: one by the restaurant and under the trees, and one behind the hotel with a lot of sunshine. The breakfast offers nice healthy options and fast service. The staff also helped us to get transferred to the airport on our departure day.

Fantastic hotel - beautiful and calming throughout. Our room was lovely with a four poster bed and its own swimming/plunge pool and garden area. Both swimming pools were excellent and especially pretty at night with lights around the pool and bar/restaurant area. Breakfast was made to order with fantastic array of choices - we enjoyed a delicious dinner too. The thing that makes it most special though are again the lovely staff - everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming special mention to the bar/restaurant staff - they really made our holiday. Lovely, lovely people who we enjoyed talking to and getting to know. We will definitely return and look out for other MAADS hotels in other locations.

This is a hidden gem. Almost everything about staying here is perfection. The staff are all super friendly and they really are attentive without being overpowering. Breakfast is delicious and you can have as much as you like - we certainly didn’t go hungry. Having food anytime of the day was gorgeous as you look out into the pool.|We had a suite at the Pavilion which was lovely and really spacious with a super comfy bed and gorgeous linen. As a couple with two cases an additional case stand would have really helped but that really is the only thing we didn’t get. |There is stunning artwork everywhere to look which is delightful.|They even supply bikes, although I wasn’t brave enough to try |Great location !!|If you are staying in Phenom Penh this is a must, I promise you won’t be disappointed
