Came here for breakfast, it has an aesthetic atmosphere and it has an overall great vibe. I got the tiramisu waffles, they were very good and clearly homemade. However they werent out of this world. Service was good but a tad slow. This restaurant has a great value for money i highly recommend. I am excited to come back for a dinner!

We booked for 12 people and were seated across two tables, even though a full table only seats 10. We only needed to move two chairs at the head to make it work, but staff refused, despite other tables doing exactly the same thing. Service was extremely poor. We were basically ignored all night — we received one drink per hour, no one came back to take our food order, and we had to repeatedly wave staff down just to get basic service. Some of our food never even arrived. Our table wasn’t cleared once over the entire three hours. Empty glasses and plates were left sitting there the whole night. To make matters worse, we were overcharged at the end for two extra drinks that no one ordered, which one of our guests (birthday girl) had to pay for. When we raised the issue, we suggested that having a QR ordering system could prevent situations like this. The response was that they are a “fine dining” restaurant and don’t use QR codes — which is ironic, because fine dining usually involves attentive table service, not completely ignoring guests while giving dirty looks. Overall, very disappointing experience. Poor service, rude staff, billing errors, and no accountability. Would not return or recommend.

Good food, good service. Busy in the evenings. Had vegetarian options. Mostly pizza. No hot drinks like coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

One star is generous. Very disappointing. We booked for a table of 12 and was spread across two tables. Really underwhelmed by our visit. The food was incredibly plain and honestly not enjoyable at all — especially considering the prices. On top of that, there were very limited vegetarian options available, which made ordering difficult and left very little choice. There was little to no table service, which would be fine if the venue was managed well, but tables were not being cleared and the area felt messy and crowded. The wait times were also excessive, both for ordering and receiving food, and the staff we interacted with were unhelpful, making the experience even more frustrating. There was a real lack of customer service and care overall. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet expectations in any way. I won’t be returning and definitely wouldn’t recommend this venue to others.

Abysmal service, misleading menu, and inedible food We booked for 12 people and were unnecessarily split across two tables, despite there being more than enough space to seat us together. We were given a menu advertising “Oyster Hour – Tuesdays”, yet when we attempted to order it, we were told it wasn’t being offered today. If it’s not available, don’t advertise it — this is misleading. Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive. When they finally did, the beers had clearly been sitting for a long time and were actively stirred to create foam, instead of being freshly poured. Completely unacceptable. Food took 40–45 minutes and only arrived after we chased staff ourselves, as no one checked on our table even once. Not once. The men at our table were served noticeably faster, while the women waited significantly longer. Our starters (oysters) arrived with our mains, after 45 minutes, and were lukewarm. The seafood pasta was overcooked, rubbery, dry, and almost flavourless, with virtually no sauce. It was barely edible and required us to add salt ourselves. There was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to rectify any of these issues. This experience was abominable from start to finish. For a venue that claims to be premium, this level of service and food quality is unacceptable. We will not be returning.

Walked into Pavilion thinking we’d soak up the view, have a nice meal, make a morning of it. Asked for a table with a view, seems reasonable given the entire place was empty. You could’ve fired a cannon through the restaurant and not hit a single person. So naturally… they march us to a tiny little two seater tucked away like we were being punished. Now, the food presentation? Stunning. Michelin-level artistry. Genuinely impressive. The actual food itself? Solid 6/10. Good, not life changing. But the service… absolutely shocking. Cold, confused and weirdly territorial about empty tables. Great looking dishes, decent taste, but the whole experience felt like a sketch comedy unintentionally. Would I go back? Maybe… but I’d bring my own table.

We can't recommend Dune by Pavilion enough - we had a small breakfast booking for the morning after our wedding, and had more of people turn up than we anticipated. The team at Dune were incredible, they didn't once make us feel like we had inconvenienced them, they took it in their stride, rearranged a few things and were able to fit everyone in. Our food still came out quickly and was delicious, not to mention extremely well priced, and who can complain about the view! Our 8 month old pulled a whole plate of food off the table onto the floor, and the team cleaned up and remade the breakfast for us - no stress, no hassle. We truly cannot recommend this venue more highly, thanks so much!

Fantastic! Staff were so attentive and kind, very supportive to menu alternations. We came in on a busy evening and the atmosphere was great. Food was tasty too and everything came out at a reasonable time. We are local to the coast so will be back!
