Happy, happy gust 💖 Beautiful hotel .. perfect service ☺️ Only one comment to the restaurant; it's a bit outdated.. the windows and carpet could do with being replaced..

A splendid restaurant on the hill owns a grand dining hall and a outdoor pavilion that provides panoramic view of the city across the river. There is a chamber inside behind the entrance open to the public, which is the birth place of King Louis XIV. The building has many large rooms, a long corridor and bar inside. The decoration is gorgeous. With its snug and cozy environment, it is an excellent place for feast or banquet. A dinner here is costy but really a luxurious delight to enjoy the good service, nice food as well as beautiful scenery. It is really a high class restaurant in the town!

We went there to have diner, 2/5 : - very old fashioned reception and restaurant - the staff lacked of experience, clearly (didn’t really know the plates or how to serve wine) - the amount of food for the main dish was far from satisfying, - a very disappointing “plateau de fromage”… And sorry if I’m a little harsh in my comment, but the bill was really harsh too ! Maybe we were paying the view…

Celebrating a big birthday for my wife I paid to stay in a suite in this hotel having done research our expectations were high. Position of hotel is good along with views if you are lucky to get a room with one. |However all goodwill was lost when arriving for pre dinner drinks at the bar on a Saturday night there was nobody around. Twice I had to go in search of staff just to serve us a drink. Others guests experienced the same, not what we expected. Our food was very mediocre, expensive and accompanied by a very expensive bottle of wine there being no other choice.|On both days at breakfast we had to ask for more pastries in the self help area and the rest of the breakfast offerings were very basic.|We left a notice on our door handle for the room to be serviced but nothing had been done on our return nor any note left explaining why.|For us the worst experience was a constant smell of cigarettes coming into our room at all hours of the day and night. This is supposed to be a no smoking hotel.|At checkout I was charged for breakfast which we had prepaid but the receptionist argued with me saying “ that everybody pays for breakfast “. She eventually went to the office behind to return saying yes it had been prepaid but no apology offered for her attitude towards me.|This hotel plays on its position with views over the Seine valley and its link to a royal birth. In fact this is the only original part of the building - a small damp dark room and if that is what you want then stay. However the aloofness and arrogance of most of the staff makes this venue an expensive mistake for many to stay there. Getting a reply from the hotel manager M.Mornas after a six day wait he made apologies but offered no reason for the above basic problems. My suggestion of a discount on what we had paid went without any further reply reinforcing my view of the arrogance of the hotel staff.|Coming from a background in the travel industry where I have stayed continuously in hotels worldwide for over forty years I feel I am very qualified to make comment.|There are many other hotels at a lower cost with much better service to choose from, I suggest you steer clear of this hotel and stay elsewhere.|

Pavillion Henri was amazing! It is a historic building, so its good to set expectations (as in no AC) but the bathrooms were brand new and the staff were all absolutely wonderful. Most spoke English as well as French (which was relaxing as my French is non-existent), the property is breathtaking, and close to the village to walk in just a few minutes. Just a 30 min train ride into Paris Central and great wifi (i work on the road, so this is essential). next time I visit Paris, I will absolutely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary a few years ago. The hotel is located in a very picturesque French town with great outlooks towards Paris. The room was large with traditional decor and a beautiful outlook onto the city. The bathroom was contemporary and clean. The Musée D'Archéologie Nationale and the surrounding Parc du Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye are very beautiful to walk around we had breakfast at the hotel and it was the typical continental spread. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel. There is parking on site as well drove over from the UK, I can’t remember if we paid. It is an easy enough drive to get to the city and Disney land. Would happily return.

Great property with historic look. Great location next to the park, awesome view from the balcony and dining room. The room was very nice with luxurious bathroom, but no air conditioning. The dining area and the lobby are air conditioned. We attended a wedding here and it was awesome! Would definitely stay here again, perhaps not in summer.

Fabulous !! First, we had our drink in the room where Louis XIV was borned :) We were welcomed by Tristan, a young and talented waiter that provided us with great drink recommendations. Overall, a unique travel through the ages .

Gorgeous hotel with an exceptional staff, which couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We were in town for a friend's wedding and the Pavillon was the perfect choice. It's an easy 7-minute walk from the RER station (itself, an easy 25-minute ride from Paris), and it's filled with traditional French charm. Our room was comfortable and ample enough in size, though the bathroom stole the show; it was about the same size of the bedroom, but filled with beautiful marble and light. The only downside to the room itself was the lack of AC and mini fridge (the former for the 80-degree days we had and the latter for the 10+ pounds of cheese we were hauling from Holland). That said, at night, the cool breeze through the panoramic windows helped quite a bit, and the aforementioned (very helpful) staff, stashed our cheese in the hotel fridge. Special thanks to Almandine, who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Even if you don't stay at the hotel, be sure to check out the incredible views from the patio (pic attached), and spend some time walking through the gorgeous gardens and park nearby.

My partner took me here for an anniversary getaway, and he couldn't have picked a better place for a (surprise!) night out of the city. It is easily accessible from Paris (just under an hour away by RER A), and unexpected: originally part of the chateau, it stands apart and offers the most beautiful view of Paris. The Pavillon is old but not shabby, often ornate but not kitschy. We were upgraded to a room of about 50m2, a high-ceilinged bedroom in the middle of the property with that same magnificent view as the panorama restaurant below. The bathroom had adjustable lighting, a shower, and a large bathtub--the kind I'd dream of having in my own home--although it would have been much better had it come with a view. There were no windows in the bathroom. While staff members were not always present and it was hard to catch their attention when they were (there was a wedding reception on the premises that night), they were kind, and let us poke around the rooms. Louis XIV was born in a room on the ground floor, and apparently it is usually used as a breakfast room (when we were there, the room housed a temporary exhibition and was filled with stacks of Le Monde newspapers and bare lightbulbs). Next to the bathtub and the view, the best part of the property is the grounds. There are gardens aplenty, grassy fields, and jogging trails to explore. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic night out of the city.

There can't be a more perfect view of Paris when the weather is clear, and the morning sunrise, on 1 January 2015, was unforgettable. The hotel and room were absolutely beautiful, we took advantage of the beautiful bath (and the rainhead shower), and the huge king-size bed was like floating on a cloud. We were amused that the Pavillon Henri IV is where Louis XIV was born, enjoyed a stunning walk in the park next door, and had a nice walk around town. I would really recommend this as an easy getaway from Paris, or for special occasions. We had a funny incident in the evening where we didn't double-lock the door and a chambermaid came right into the vestibule while we were lying in our bathrobes on the bed, but that's possibly because of our lack of French to have yelled out, 'Come back later please'. The folks at reception were exceptionally friendly, acknowledging us with big smiles whenever we walked by, which seemed warmer hospitality than some hotels.

A classy restaurant, offering traditional French cuisine. This restaurant has 3 assets.One, a seriously good food offering, showing that it does not require to invent new and complicated dishes to delight one's palate. The second is a great view on the whole Western part of the Paris area, but not Paris itself except for the Eiffel tower. The third is a visit to the room where French king Louis XIV was born. The dining room itself is very large, bordering on grand, with a terrace when weather permits. Add good service and a fair price, and you have a pretty attractive restaurant for anyone seeking to combine French cuisine, history and landscape.
