The goods throughout the premises are tastfully displayed everywhere. I really like the lighting and the warm colours. The spaciousness makes being there welcoming just like a high quality thought out museum! What I noticed in there offered for sale are everything from beautiful silk remnants, pottery, and a nice assortment of high quality museum grade goods for sale you can enjoy everyday.
I ended up obtaining one of the exquisite Uzbek knives (which I believe is locally hand-crafted in Fergana Valley in eastern Uzbekistan). While the knife might be expensive for most visitors, these are reasonably priced for the high level of quality you get with a genuine Uzbek knife. If you traveled long distance by airplane to visit Uzbekistan, an Uzbek knife is a great memento to take home with you. Whether you want to use it for the sometimes messy affair of cutting meat, poultry, vegetables, it’s up to you. As mentioned by others many times before, an Uzbek knife can be a nice souvenir that can be useful in a kitchen. Enjoy!
