Staying at a guesthouse offers a cozy, personalized experience with a homey atmosphere. You often get friendly service, comfortable rooms, and a chance to enjoy local culture, making it feel more like staying with family than at a hotel.

The location is conveniently within walking distance of Tugu Station and Malioboro Street. However, no vehicles are allowed in the alley, even motorcycles need to be turned off. While this contributes to a tranquil environment, it can be inconvenient with heavy luggage. One of my disappointments was encountering a rude staff who informed us that the room could not accommodate three people, despite it fitting us, and required us to order an extra bed. Given the additional cost, if proximity to Tugu Station and Malioboro isn’t essential, consider booking elsewhere. On the good side, the room was very clean and tidy, will suit backpacker travelers well.

November last year, I traveled to Yogyakarta and picked this guesthouse. It was a bit hard to find the building, as it is located in a very small alley near Malioboro, not accessible with car or motorcycle. Not because it was too small, but bike is not allowed in small alley in Yogya. I think it is going to be very hard for you if you bring way too big luggage, for you have to *walk*, though not too long. But it's all worth it.||||I was escorted to my room in 2nd floor, and the room is so comfortable. No noisy sound whatsoever around the building. It is so good for you to take a rest. But remember to close the curtain of your door, for the room is visible to other people in the building across the Pawon Cokelat.||||They have a cafe/resto, which I didn't actually try, but you will have your breakfast there. The cafe/resto is very insta-worthy, I saw many teens coming to take pictures.

(+) The room use a unfinished design. It’s unique, also the interior. This is my second time go here since the first one was in 2019. (+) The price already include breakfast (fried rice / fried noodle + tea/coffee) (+) They have hot water !!! (-) They only provide towel in the room and the soap. So for the toothbrush and toothpaste we need to bring it by own self. (-) It’s a bit hard to get to the location. Because it’s located in the small passageway. Maybe the target is backpacker so it’s GOOD. the price is cheap enough (especially from OTA)

While the location is quite strategic, only within walking distance from Yogyakarta's Tugu Station, this guesthouse is a bit hidden in a small alley. I checked in just after midnight because of my train schedule, and the procedure was fast. The AC was working great, the blanket should be a bit thicker. The WiFi was good, I managed to complete my work in the morning, just before I checked out. In the morning, we get breakfast (fried rice and fried egg) & coffee/tea. All in all, it was a relatively pleasant stay, but the bathroom can be improved with hot water and air freshener.

Honestly we had trouble to get to this hotel. Our bad because didn't not checked the nearest entrance to this isolate guesthouse. Be aware this hotel can't be access car, you have to walk along the small alley to get to this hotel. The nearest landmark is Whiz Prime Malioboro Hotel and the small alley with Homestay 105 signboard. If you choose to go to the hotel from Sosrowijayan road, find a signboard Hotel Amalia. ||||We did amaze with the hipster style interior but it's just for Instagram purposes. Nice on the picture but not very well maintained. ||||We have no complaint about bedding or toilet. But the problem is the room's door which is glass. Yes people from outside can see inside the room if you don't take down the curtain.||||They give us a room at the 1st floor which is facing other guesthouse. Since we are all ladies, of course there are guys watching you from the other side.||||Our room compliment with daily breakfast. You need to choose whether to have local (Fried mee or fried rice) or western (scramble egg, sosej and bread). No so bad if your're hungry. Free flow of tea and coffee. You can bring your breakfast to your room.||||If you seek of peaceful rest, this hotel not a very perfect choice. Everyday we enjoyed the sound of trains near the hotel, plus a airplane passed above the hotel.||||Not sure if this hotel is value for your money. If you a bagpacker, I'm sure you will like this hotel.

Cozy and clean enough even the room is not too big. Its a quiet place to stay and chill. Also they make good American or Indonesian style breakfast. The place is pretty instagramable and feel so homey.

Bathroom wasn't clean enough. Must improve it! I took deluxe room with single bed and quite small space left. It hard open my luggage although only medium size. Room facilities really minimum. To reach this hotel quite easy because really near tugu station and just walk from the main street. But to get to this hotel have to pass by very small alley, so u have to walk from main street. Car couldnt fit, even motorcycle didnt allow to pass by for visitor. For backpacker kind of trip, worth it. Because it's location in mailoboro area. The good thing is u could find some good spot to take a photo. 😀
