Absolutely disgusted ordered a Parma did not order fish and in my tartare sauce were fish bones and also on my plate along with hair strands. Wait time was very disappointing waiting up to an hour and people who arrived way after us got their food first. Very loud as well, They also stuffed up order multiple times. Do not recommend whatsoever, was much better when old owners were there.

Spent the weekend in Paynesville and Lakes Entrance and this was easily one of the best meals we had all weekend! After a lovely walk around Raymond Island, we hopped off the Ferry and headed to the Paynesville Pub for lunch. Prawn Spaghettini and Crispy Pork Belly - DELICIOUS! Service / Staff of both the restaurant area and the bar were incredibly friendly and welcoming!

Think it's quite an old pub + hotel. May be historic. Great place to have meals within a pub setting. Staff very friendly and good. Will need to book in advance in busy holiday times. Has two indoor settings for dining. A nice front section with restaurant style seating and at the back a not so refined but large gaming room like area which is suitable for big crowds sitting and dining. I think this section will do nicely with bit of a touch up type. This hall like area opens up into the outdoor seating section where there are typical wooden tables and benches. Food was great

We booked a table tonight for 8 people, last minute we added another 18 ! The Hotel fitted us in with no hassles in what would have been one of the worst nights for them, no power , extremely busy and shocking weather conditions. The food was delicious and the staff were polite and efficient under trying conditions, especially the young girls serving the meals to the tables, they handled the odd grumpy patron with professionalism and politeness, well done to all .

As a fish and chips lover who’s tried over 20 spots across the country, I can confidently say this is the best of the best. The fish is perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside—and the chips are just as impressive. Absolutely top-tier. Highly recommended!

A wonderful local pub with a cheerful, lively atmosphere. The people here are happy, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The service was excellent, and the location is good. A great opportunity to experience the town’s atmosphere and local spirit.

Unlike any other Pub menu I’ve ever seen or eaten. Smoked chicken wings in Alabama sauce- fantastic. Pork belly braised cabbage beetroot chutney cauliflower purée- sensational, perfectly balanced plate. Kangaroo fillet warm root vegetables red wine jus feta cheese- the best roo I’ve ever eaten, and I’m from Alice Springs. Also try the East Gippsland Lightfoot wines, very satisfying on the palette. Highly recommend.
