I love this place, always have a good time when I’m here. Popped in today and sampled a couple of different wines before settling on a glass of Pinot Gris. Sat out the back, chatted with the staff, all super friendly and welcoming. Really love the vibe here, it’s relaxed, genuine, and easy to enjoy. Highly recommend a visit, and the wine’s pretty good too.

Have been coming here for year and the service is amazing every time. Great staff, welcoming and funny. The wines never disappoint and the vermouth is to die for every time- even though I have a bottle of it at home already. Great job, definitely will be back again and again. Cheers Sarah & Jesse 🥂 💛

I came in for a cheeky wine tasting, and was really impressed! Britt is extremely knowledgeable and talked me through some amazing wines. At about an hour from Melbourne, I will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing service! Britney at Payten & Jones made the whole experience so friendly and easy-going — you instantly feel welcomed. The Wednesday karaoke day was such a fun vibe and the perfect way to take the edge off midweek! Can’t wait to come back when we’re next in town — already looking forward to it! 🎤🍷

Love this place, a progressive winery, new ideas and a wide range of drinks. Staff are always friendly and positive. It's also a highlight stopping here on our yearly pub crawl through town!

Came on a whim because we were in the area, and were greeted with such friendliness by Emmanuel! So knowledgeable and informative of any questions we had and recommended the most delicious cider we've had in awhile (St Ronans Apple & Pear)! The orange wine went down so smooth too! We will definitely be back, this was so wonderful!

We visited this winery as the second stop on our Localway Tour, but unfortunately it was quite disappointing compared to what we expected. Surprisingly, Four Pillars Gin Distillery across the road offered a much better overall experience. This place might suit people who enjoy a lively and noisy atmosphere, but despite having quiet indoor areas available, our wine tasting was held in the loudest section at the back. In particular, the staff’s attitude was quite disappointing. The wine explanations were given very casually, as if just going through the motions. What shocked us even more was when the staff picked up a piece of ice that had fallen on the table and put it back into the glass, then proceeded to pour vermut as if nothing had happened. This felt highly unprofessional and unacceptable for a winery experience. Overall, within a winery tour itinerary, this stop seems to lower the overall standard of the tour rather than enhance it.

A phenomenal winery with a no-nonsense approach: wine is for drinking and enjoying, not for being stored away. Set in an industrial building with striking street art, the experience is down to earth and really enjoyable. The staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and you can tell they love where they work. As to the wines, the VV Pinot Noir is sublime, unoaked and jam-packed with fruity notes whilst retaining the characteristic light body of a Pinot Noir - they certainly know what they're doing! Of the 4 wineries my partner and I visited throughout the day, Payten & Jones was head and shoulders above the rest, simple as that.
