On the Grid : Pazzo Chow

"This place is a hidden gem. Pazzo Chow is a small grotta that stocks fine imported Italian dry goods and preserves as well as serves up a delightful and fresh lunch option. Fresh pasta is available Tuesday through Thursday. Salads and/or paninis on house made focaccia are typical menu items also. Everything is made-to-order and supplies are limited. Get there early if you want fresh food and expect them to be sold out if you're showing up after 4 or 5pm. Back up plan: buy some dried pasta and a jar of their house pasta sauce brand "Sugo Sauce". Oh and don't forget to try the ice cream! Yes. Also house made." - Post Projects

Little Italy in Chinatown! Coffee food and delight. The experience is like walking out of Vancouver into an Italian kitchen, just belle! You can find all the little Italian treats you might not find anywhere else. Eat in or take out and walk across the street for coffee in the park.

one of my favourite little places in chinatown for people watching! their soup & pasta (changes daily) are always a great healthy option all while keeping you warm in the colder months, and in the summer, they have a great selection of ice cream from brown paper packages!

Ice cream sandwich is good! Might be pricey but worth a try! Small little place that is true to their food.

Hidden gem. We would have walked past this spot if it weren't for the lovely smells escaping through the front door. Great espresso, tasty food and a lovely ambiance. They were able to feed a celiac, but that won't happen everyday as their menu changes. For the most part you're probably safe with salad. If you're gluten able, their fresh pasta is a "banger" (quote from the wife).

Fresh and delicious daily offerings..there is always something new and amazing served up at this tucked-away neighbourhood gem! The homemade butternut squash pasta with greens was so satisfying, and the deserts are rich & generous. Lovely people + wonderful daily menus= :-)

This is my favorite place in Vancouver hands down. The culinary creativity of the crew is incredible - new menu everyday made with fresh and seasonal ingredients. I alway have at least one of Maya's pasta sauces in my cupboard at all times, and the ice cream sandwiches are to die for. Vancouver is lucky to have such a special place.

Very cute little place. We had a great coffee and bought some high quality, hard-to-find Italian goods and hand-made pasta. Reasonable prices, and friendly people. We'll be returning.

This place is fantastic. The owner is very friendly and the food is always fresh, unique, and seasoned/cooked to perfection. It is super small and they run out of food quick, and rarely make the same dish twice, so get it while you can!
