Peace & Loaf restaurant

We visited after receiving a gift voucher for our wedding so we booked peace and love and wow it did not disappoint. We love a tasting menu and this is by far the best one we have done. The food was incredible and there wasn’t one dish we didn’t enjoy. Our server was amazing I didn’t catch her name but we couldn’t believe it when at the end she said she was only her second week in. We thought she had been there for years because of how knowledgeable she was. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting an amazing experience and great food!

What a great experience. "Feast of the palate!!" Stunning culinary experience ...presentation, service ....I really felt so special. The food was stunning. The tasting menu had no number ...after 6 I just stopped at the number...I was amazed by the stunning flavors and textures created. It is a surprise that you do not have a Michelin star, but you deserve it. It is not stuffy or pretentious at all and the entire staff is very genuine and kind. I will tell all my friends and will definitely visit again. Thank you all for a wonderful and truly unforgettable experience.

We had the tasting menu, which is out of our price range but it was a treat, and what a treat! Food is incredible. The creativity and thought that goes into each dish is genius. They use quite nostalgic flavours but in a way you have not seen before. The staff are so passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. They set the chilled out atmosphere, mixed with a cracking playlist. Overall it does not disappoint and well worth saving up for

Absolutely stunning 12 course taster menu with 7 pairing wines. Fantastic service with a friendly welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. Great evening from start to finish. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.

Fellow entrepreneur and Chef owner Dave Coulson runs a sublime restaurant that is absolutely perfect for a dining experience. Great service from the entire team who were all very friendly and happy in their work. Wine pairing and champagne by the glass were perfect accompaniments to the amazing seasonal tasting menu which was incredible. The design of the restaurant itself was also perfect being spacious while being intimate too and with a very cool and contemporary design. The only downside with Dave is that he supports ManU and not Newcastle! Apart from that he’s a cracking guy and an inspiring entrepreneur who runs one of the best fine dining restaurants in Newcastle.

We had traveled down from the North West and choose Peace & Loaf for a birthday treat. From the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel at home. The service was second to none, and the food was unbelievable. It was a first for us enjoying this kind of food experience, and they've certainly set the bar high.

What a little gem! It was a perfect evening. Our party had the vegetarian and meat tasting menus, and everyone left satisfied and happy. There were a few delightful surprises (what exactly was “egg and chips” going to be?), but the food remained unpretentious. It looked stunning and tasted even better. With fantastic service and great company to top it off, what more could you ask for.

Dined here today for my Wife’s birthday and opted for the lunch menu. From the front of house service (sorry I didn’t get your name Mr Belfast..) who was exceptional, to the bar staff and of course the cooking staff - everything was above what was expected. The food was sublime and presented beautifully, my photos won’t do it justice. This place is a credit to Bob, Dave and all of the staff. Very highly recommended.
