A super cute lil vegan Japanese cafe! We ordered the katsu curry (half tempeh half tofu) and Hanoi sandwich. Both were delicious and the portion size was very generous. I especially enjoyed the creamy peanut sauce in the sandwich and all the veggies packed in it. We also ordered the strawberry smoothie and a black sesame mochi cake, both of which were so tasty. You could tell everything is freshly homemade and the ingredients are very clean, transparent, and healthy. There isn't much seating inside or outside, but overall the place is very home-y, cozy, and comforting. Great vibes and great vegan food!

I had the pleasure of dining at Peace Cafe in Honolulu and tried their katsu curry with tempeh and tofu. The flavors were rich, and the dish was beautifully crafted. Between the two, I preferred the texture of the tempeh, which had a nice consistency, though it was just a bit too crunchy for my taste. The tofu was also delicious, but the combination of its spongy texture with the crunchy coating wasn’t quite my favorite. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I’d absolutely make this a weekly spot if I lived nearby. Peace Cafe offers a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere—a must-visit!

Cute little cafe in Honolulu! Food is very simple and always tastes fresh. Tofu katsu and yakisoba are yum. They also sell cute jewelry!

This is a really modest restaurant in what seems to be emerging as hub of vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the Waikiki area. We drove past the restaurants a few times before the really inconspicuous sign. I am guessing they primarily rely on word of mouth to get business. Regardless, they are doing good business. They had a steady stream of customers either eating in or for take out. The young girl behind the counter was really really patient considerate with everyone. She took time to explain the dishes, their contents and went inside to check on the allergens at our request. Food is moderately priced. Their Peace Plate was awesome. Other dishes we ordered like Tempeh BBQ were average. Their breaded tofu was deep fried and too rich for my taste. I wish them the best and look forward to trying out some of their dishes.

Located in the bustling heart of Honolulu, Peace Cafe Hawaii offers a serene escape and a delightful culinary experience for those seeking wholesome, plant-based cuisine. My visit to this charming eatery was nothing short of exceptional, providing a refreshing and nourishing meal in a peaceful setting. From the moment you enter Peace Cafe, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy interior, adorned with minimalist decor and earthy tones, creates a calming ambiance that perfectly complements the cafe’s philosophy of promoting peace and well-being through food. The friendly and attentive staff add to the welcoming vibe, making you feel right at home. The menu at Peace Cafe is a testament to the creativity and dedication of its chefs, featuring a diverse array of vegan dishes that are as delicious as they are nutritious. One of the standout dishes is the BBQ Tempeh Plate, which features marinated and grilled tempeh served with brown rice, fresh greens, and a tangy BBQ sauce. The combination of flavors and textures is both satisfying and healthful, making it a perfect choice for a hearty meal. Another must-try is the Popeye Sandwich, a delightful creation of spinach, tofu, and avocado nestled between slices of fresh, whole-grain bread. The creamy avocado and the savory tofu are a match made in heaven, and the sandwich is served with a side of crisp, refreshing salad. It’s a light yet filling option that’s perfect for lunch. One of the unique aspects of Peace Cafe is its commitment to using locally sourced, organic ingredients. This dedication to sustainability not only ensures the freshness and quality of the food but also supports the local community and environment. You can taste the difference in every bite, from the vibrant flavors of the vegetables to the hearty grains. For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert selection at Peace Cafe is not to be missed. The vegan chocolate cake is rich and indulgent, with a moist texture and a decadent chocolate flavor that rivals any traditional cake. Pair it with a cup of their organic, fair-trade coffee or a refreshing herbal tea for the perfect end to your meal. A helpful tip for fellow tourists: Peace Cafe is located in a bustling area of Honolulu, so it’s a good idea to visit during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter dining experience. The cafe also offers takeout options, making it convenient to enjoy their delicious food on the go. Additionally, Peace Cafe occasionally hosts special events and workshops focused on vegan cooking and sustainable living. These events are a great opportunity to learn more about plant-based cuisine and meet like-minded individuals. Checking their event schedule before your visit can enhance your experience and provide a deeper insight into the cafe’s mission and values. Peace Cafe Hawaii is more than just a place to eat; it’s a sanctuary where you can relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy wholesome, delicious food. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan, curious about plant-based eating, or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a meal, Peace Cafe offers a truly special dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of tranquility and wellness in the heart of Honolulu.

I wanted to be generous with this one because I love the decor and the ethos. Support vegan! We waited about 15 minutes for the staff to stop flirting and take our order. I support young love but it would have been better to be professional and then when you have a moment, chat away! The poke bowl was very salty. Not much taste beyond salt. This could be the best cafe in Honolulu if you train the staff gently and add some more spices and variety. I believe in this place.

I have family in town and they are vegetarian. I have never had a bad experience with a vegetarian establishment. L.A., Mexico, PHX, LAS, PDX, SEATAC, to just name a few places I had frequented vegetarian establishments while living there. My cousin and I have lived in a number of places. She now lives in Alabama for some reason. Vegetarian meals are not easy to find when out and about in Alabama. I was hoping Peace Cafe would be a great option for when they are in town. This was my first visit to Peace Cafe. I wanted to try it but never got to that part of town for lunch. My cousin did not explicitly say she did not like the food but, she left over half of her food on her plate. I sent her a link to the restaurant prior to picking her up. When we arrived we asked questions about the items we were going to order to make sure it was something she ate. That being said, not everything on what she ordered was mentioned. The item was sent back and remade. They were very gracious about it. I did not finish my meal and I did not take my left overs away for my husband as I usually do. They have a number of tasty looking items on the menu. The two dishes we ordered were a big miss. The rice that is featured in a number of dishes on the menu was completely bland. I understand most people here eat plain white or brown rice as if it will be discontinued in two hours. The only thing on my plate that really had any flavor was the salad dressing. I don’t add any salt to anything already made so that doesn’t bother me. In other vegetarian dishes I have had wonderful spices that enhanced tofu, tempeh and veggies and beans. Not this time around. It is a nice cozy spot and I think there is a table for two outside. There is a communal table inside with three or four private tables. You can easily have a quiet conversation.

Google
Made an advance phone order and very much enjoyed our nourishing meals here. Tried the tempeh katsu curry which was so satisfying, filling, and full of textures and flavors. The peace plate had lots of fresh colorful veggies but I couldn't help wanting a more substantial protein on there besides hummus, although everything was delicious. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things like their raw vegan cheesecake :)

Yelp
I dined-in at Peace Cafe for brunch on a Saturday. A perfect time because the place filled up by the time I was finished. I had the tofu katsu plate and finished with mint ice cream and an Americano. The ambiance is cozy and chill. You order first and seat where you can. Seating is very limited outside and inside. There is a park right nextdoor. The kitchen and cashier do the waiting, so don't expect attentive service. It's just not that sort of place. I have not found a place for any type of katsu plate stateside that didn't cost $30+. The katsu itself was not bad. It was a bit hard on the ends. The portions are a good value. I walked up from my hotel is Waikiki and will continue to do that on future visits.

Yelp
I order from them at least once a week for lunch or dinner. I love that they have the platters that you can take to events so you can introduce non-vegans to delicious vegan food. Super nice family-run cafe. Very sweet Japanese folx. I get their bentos at the Kaiser HS farmer's market in Tuesdays 4-6pm. I do wish that they would stop calling me "sir" or "ma'am" over the phone though. They always get the pronouns wrong. I understand it is a sign of respect because it is like saying "-sama" in Japanese, but I would appreciate it if they kept it gender neutral :) DO NOT USE THEIR "inquire now" button on their website to place catering orders. It does not work right now. Call them for catering orders or email them at info@peacecafehawaii.com. They need: 1) Item name 2) size: half platter (10-15 servings) OR party platter (20-25) 3) date you need order 4) time you need order 5) do you need utensils? If so, how many? It's $1 per set of utensils

Yelp
I recently tried Peace Cafe in Honolulu, ordering the katsu curry with tempeh and tofu, and it was a delicious experience! The flavors of the curry were spot on, and the dish was beautifully prepared. Between the tempeh and tofu, I enjoyed the texture of the tempeh a bit more--its consistency was satisfying, although just a touch too crunchy for my preference. The tofu was well-prepared too, but the combination of its spongy texture and crunchy coating wasn't quite ideal for me. Still, both options were tasty, and the dish as a whole was so enjoyable that I'd be tempted to make Peace Cafe a weekly stop if I lived on the island. Great food and a relaxed vibe--definitely a place to return to!

Lisa B.

Yelp
Very friendly staff with an eclectic and interesting menu. The passion for the food comes through. I had the BLT which was good but very bread heavy - the sandwich stacks about 3" tall with about a half an inch of topping. The Peace sampler had a bit of everything with cucumbers, tofu scramble and some other things. If we go back we'd try something different. Parking was easy to find as well

Yelp
I've been coming to Peace Cafe since 2017, and it remains one of my favorite spots in Honolulu. If you're looking for organic, plant-based food that's made with care, this is the place. Every dish can be customized to suit your needs, and they even have options with no sugar or oil, which is perfect if you're health-conscious like me. The food is made fresh to order, so don't expect fast service--come here when you have time to savor a meal. They also offer catering, which is a great option for gatherings. The indoor seating is cozy, and there's also outdoor seating available. Parking is easy to find, with plenty of metered spots nearby. The owner, Shota, treats his food like a work of art. Every dish is as beautiful as it is delicious, and you can tell he takes great pride in each creation. If you visit on a Tuesday, you'll have the pleasure of meeting Ena, a wonderful person with a bubbly personality and a beautiful smile, ready to make your experience even better. If you're looking for wholesome, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared meals, Peace Cafe is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Finding peace... Love this cute and cozy spot right in Moili'ili as this vegan restaurants supports many specific types and having allergies myself knowing that is comforting and who doesn't want to have a meal without worries. Nothing is healthier than home cooked but when you're tired and just want to be take care of this place does offer many options from vegan, gluten free, soy free and even some sugar free desserts. Located right on South King Street right beside the Old Stadium Park they do have some parking shared with neighbor Chiang Mai though I was lucky enough to find street metered parking right in front. Waling into this cozy spot which is very small yet does provide a decent amount of seating from a large picnic table with a few smaller tables the decor with painted tree is very earthy green is quite crafty and cute which I do love making it unique in it's own way just like their menu items which has a lot going on with pics at the register of inure, mapo katsu. The single staff handling it all was very sweet and helpful as I was indecisive between Yakisoba and Noodle Salad and was told that those were favorite as well...hmmm so it was the salad because I love the various toppings it came with and it sure does! All packed tightly on top of the noodles which is thick and chewy cooked and cooled perfectly I loved it all the hijiki, carrots, red cabbage, moyashi, slice of tomato gave it the rainbow effect. You're able to order your sauce mild or spicy and spicy was just the right amount of heat that I love and ate it all up as my belly had found some peace. Thank you!

Yelp
I saw my boss eating something from Peace Cafe at work one day and it looked super good so I had to go try! Honestly, I was very impressed. ***What I ordered ~ **Katsu Curry Tempeh (10/10) ~ This one is a MUST. Loved how crispy the tempeh was and if you dip it with the curry it gave it a nice spice! The rice they provided was this purple rice and it was nice and fluffy! Honestly, this comes pretty close to a Katsu Curry. I would totally get this again. **Moroccan Stew (8/10) ~ The stew kind of reminds me of a sweeter beef stew! Loved that the chick peas absorbs the stew flavor so every bite you get tastes like the stew. I wish I ordered a side of something with it! It's missing a "meat" component to it. But honestly really good! Overall, I would TOTALLY come back again. I really want to try their other dishes. But so far, totally in love with the tempeh Katsu Curry!

Miguel M.

Yelp
They have lots of different vegan options here, and me and my friends tried a bunch! My personal choice was the yakisoba sandwich! Spicy and savory, while my friends got more of their plate options! Worth a visit especially for those looking for tasty vegan dishes! - Miguel Morales Photography

Yelp
This was a last minute addition for me to try and good lord I am so happy I swung by. Don't get me wrong, the food culture in Honolulu is amazing but it was exceedingly hard to find much vegetarian or vegan katsu at all so I knew this place was the perfect spot to satisfy my craving. I went by around noon on a weekday and ordered a katsu curry to go -- you can choose between tofu, tempeh, or half and half! I wanted to try both so half and half it was. The food came out piping hot in about 10 minutes with the curry in a separate container to be added; aka no soggy katsu here! Visually stunning, but gosh if I only I could describe the CRUNCH of that first katsu bite. It was so hard for me to choose tempeh vs tofu because both were so good and so crunchy. And the curry was a comforting river of goodness as well. I loved every portion of this place including the salads and greens and the mixed rice which was cooked to perfection. The prices are totally reasonable for the taste, quality, and amount of food you get and I literally want to go back and try every single other item on their menu after this. I was intrigued by the cooler which had some noodles, mochi, ice cream goods so you know I may need to return to try that as well. Parking in the area is street parking but not too hard. Don't let the quaint interior fool you - do yourself a favor and have a meal here! The service was the kindest and the food really will speak for itself.

Anna B.

Yelp
Back again for their tempeh katsu curry. I have recommended this dish to so many people; especially those who think they won't like a vegan restaurant. The texture and density of this katsu is incredible and totally crave-worthy. I feel like the portion may have decreased however the amount of curry is amazing and totally generous.

Tomo K.

Yelp
Their vegan food is scrumptious and leaves you filled. The owner/chef came out to greet us. I once had to order something without garlic and they were so accommodating! He even made a separate sauce off the menu to compensate for the lack of garlic. It's my favorite place to go. They have a small but really nice eating space.

Bhamidipati M.

Yelp
Very affordable and tasty vegan food in the Center of Honolulu. Every dish was freshly made after our order and I loved sitting there and eating hot food. The plates are large and the food was fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant for dine in and take out!

Rhiannon H.

Yelp
A nice healthy option for lunch - they specialize in vegan/vegetarian options. I tried their tofu katsu & was skeptical at first but ended up really enjoying it! Minimal inside seating, parking is out back. Service was friendly. Their lemonade is also 10/10.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Walked over here from Waikiki based on a recommendation. We wanted fresh, organic, vegan ingredients and that is exactly what we found at Peace Cafe! We ordered the Soup of the Day, which was a flavorful Tahini Hot & Sour soup. First time having a tahini-based hot & sour soup. Goal is to recreate it at home. Peace Sampler (Hijiki, Tofu scramble, Yuzu carrot, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Mung beans, Poke & nori flaks, Avocado, Mixed greens, Clover sprouts, TVP, Sesame kale, House dressing, and Brown and black rice) and the Cilantro Hummus sandwich with the house made aioli on the side. The aioli was delicious. I always ask for it on the side bc I am not usually a fan, but always willing to try a taste. This was a thicker version than I am used to, but that's a good thing bc this was delicious. My sandwich was on a fresh whole wheat ciabatta-style roll. Everything was so great we ordered another sandwich (Hanoi) to bring with us for our picnic dinner on the beach later tonight. When we arrived there were three women working in sync putting together to-go boxes of what must be for a catering event. Lucky people that will be getting those boxes full of delicious Peace Cafe items.

Jessy P.

Yelp
Maybe when you order and eat the plates in your car the food is great but overall take out is okay. The salad I had ordered was fishy, perhaps the sesame pil had turned? Everyone else seemed to enjoy their orders so 3 stars for them enjoying there food. The Acai smoothie WAS really good (without banana).

Kuki O.

Yelp
Ok, we decided to go back to Peace Cafe, because we were too early for the 6:30pm free street parking. Ok, go around the block...we got parking in the back of the building. + I was driving. Hahaha. We got there, greeted by a smile from the associate placed our wonderful order,Americano coffee. Was so good. The Katsu is fried Tofu .. crispy, sprouts, cucumber, sauce and katsu sauce on a warm crispy bread. The Peace Plate is a variety of goodness. We have left overs... Gomenasai I dont have the exact ingredients of what's on the plate. As we left, the Japanese Chef greeted us to say "Arigato" we'll be Beck to try other dishes. Maybe a dessert or ice cream.(bow to my mom )

Ann C.

Yelp
A cozy vegan spot serving up Japanese comfort foods in a dining room that feels like your mom's house! Street parking easy to find. Service is fast and polite. The cashier recommended the katsu plate, soup, and cheesecake, which we shared between 2 people and were very satisfied. The katsu was very crispy, we got half tempeh half tofu, and they were both good. The curry was rich and flavorful. Definitely not a light meal. The soup was tahini flavored with veggies, I thought it was just OK. The cheesecake was sugar and dairy free- I'm amazed at how good it was, and I'm a cheesecake aficionado. Overall would return.

Kit W.

Yelp
My mother-in-law bought some Peace Cafe fundraiser tickets so we recently came to pick up dinner. It's been a while since I have been here but I was reminded of what a wholesome place this is. I need to come back more often. I was warmly thanked for redeeming my fundraiser tickets, which was so nice. I had called in our order in advance and the food was ready when I got there 15 minutes later. We tried their katsu curry (choice of tofu or tempeh for protein) and Moroccan stew. The stew was a little spicy but tasty. The tofu katsu curry was fantastic! Super crispy even after a 20 minute car ride and the curry was flavorful. Everyone from the toddlers in the family to my mother-in-law enjoyed it!

Kate P.

Yelp
Best in the neighborhoods of McCully & Moiliili. Reviews are telling you no need be vegan

Sherene H.

Yelp
Very small and very busy, call ahead if you don't want to wait! The bathroom is located outside: you can also enter through the back. It doesn't have their name so it's the net entrance. I ordered the heart and soul: 1/2 and 1/2 a Korean bibimbap. My absolute favorite dish here! So many veggies and you mix it up! I also get a black sesame latte which they use oat milk. 10/10.

Shristy A.

Yelp
PLEASE READ MY REVIEW and you won't regret it! I'll be very honest, almost felt like we were scammed. What a mood spoiler- don't get swayed about the looks of the restaurant/ the plating. I am not sure how the reviews are good here. The curries or everything was canned or basically ready mixes. The Moroccan chickpea was nothing but tomato sauce(also weirdly sweet) and mostly canned chickpea or just boiled chickpeas. I am not kidding the receptionist said the curry is new everyday and today it has potatoes and tofu, a Japanese style yellow curry- but it was just a premade curry mix. Also, how they serve in paper plates and you've to throw it, you go order stuff at the counter. Then why is the minimum expected tip 15% ? All they do is come serve the 5 min recipe food. We'd also wiped the table ourselves anyway. The mushroom miso soup was pretty salty and tasted better. I guess miso soups are expected to be like that and no complains about the 8 ounce soup. Honestly, we've never had such disappointing food in Hawaii. Alrighty, bye, go try a better place! :)

Courtney O.

Yelp
Hawaii has no shortage of delicious food, but the reality is that most of it is not great for you. When you've hit a wall from all the plate lunches, it's great to get a reset at Peace Cafe. Peace Cafe offers local favorites and flavorful offerings, but vegan. They even have a loco moco with a rich gravy and a vegan egg. Outside of their food, they make pastries and treats! I enjoy their drinks including the black sesame kinako latte. There are some seats inside their small restaurant, but this is an easy place to call ahead for take-out.

Desiree Ann Z.

Yelp
I'm not vegan but this place was really good. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it-- like I actually finished my plate haha. I got the bibimbap plate! Service was great, super nice lady. Place was small but felt inviting. Definitely recommend trying this place!

Mrs. M.

Yelp
The katsu is super, extra crispy without being oily. It's very tasty. The salads are delicious, too.

Jeremiah U.

Yelp
Im neither vegan nor pescaterian, but Peace Cafe was a great experience. The food was prepared to look like an iconic plate lunch that you would get from L&L, but the flavors, quality, and ingredients tasted so light and refreshing. The amount of food was enough to be content, and the price was reasonable. This small cafe that's located on King Street next to Old Stadium Park is a hidden gem. Interior design is bright and welcoming, and while there is no dine-in, the wait time to get the food is fair. Parking: Street parking (metered) free after 5pm Recommend to phone or online order

Dizia C.

Yelp
5 stars all the way! The food here is delicious. Please try the tempeh plate or the sampler. The service was lovely~ especially since Eva was such a vibe. Ambiance is comfy and also perfect for studying as well. I love the plants.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Had a pleasant peaceful time at Peace Cafe. Started out with a perfect tangy yuzu lemonade. I chose the Moroccan dinner with beans , rice, and a salad. Also ordered a Taco Salad. Wanted to try the mochi, but I was way too full of food. The service was great. 2 young, attentive workers made the food in a pretty manner. Delicious meals !!!! The interior was really cute with a large tree painted onto the wall & ceilings. Interesting art on the walls. Peaceful, spiritual looking Jewelry was also available for purchase. Comfortable chairs and tables are outside as well for people watching . I opted to sit inside. I would return here again, definitely.

Judi W.

Yelp
Went to.buy a healthy meal for my hubs who just got open heart surgery. Chef went out of his way and made a custom dish with no salt! My husband enjoyed it. Service was awesome... friendly and CARING!!! Welcoming and though I didn't eat there, it has a relaxing atmosphere.

Val K.

Yelp
We decided to try the Peace Cafe when our first dining choice was closed. We were happy with the selections, it suited everyone in the family. My 8 year old grandson had the katsu plate which he loved. It was crispy and flavorful. I had an avocado sandwich which dressed with fresh tasty greens, tomato and sprouts. My daughter had the Peace sampler which had a good selection of veggies including the poke and tofu scramble. We definitely are retuning for the fresh clean food

Debra N.

Yelp
We bumped into them at the food show today. We purchased bentos, Tan Tan cold ramen and a Ginger Ramen (friend's). Staff were friendly and eager to serve us as well as competing against other food vender! Tan Tan Ramen: The mulberry noodle had a curry flavor, but really healthy for you. It came with carrots, tomato, pickled vegetables, and seaweed. The sauce has a real kick which is normal for Tan Tan. My friend loves the ginger sauce with same set up bento as mine. I enjoyed this dish and hope you will too. It's near McCully Stadium park before Isenberg Street on King Street. Ciao!

Edwina S.

Yelp
Nice selection of Sandwiches and wraps we decided to do the Bi Bim Bap and the katsu curry with tempeh. It was delicious and very inspiring gonna try and recreate these dishes at home. I thought it was a very cute place to dine in, parking in the back is a plus!! They also have a great selection of drinks and smoothies.. We will definitely be back!!

Eric N.

Yelp
Ordered the Tex mex burrito. Mostly quinoa and greens. No black beans in it and not much of the tvp in there. Also didn't get any salsa or spicy sauce. Very disappointing lunch for me today.

Je M.

Yelp
Everytime I visit Oahu I come here. Hands down my favorite meal. I always get the curry katsu tempeh. I have been vegetarian for 8 years now and the one thing I crave is crispy chicken, this is my remedy. The curry sauce has so much flavor and blends perfect with the ancient rice. All the flavors balance the sprouts and small salad mixed with every bite of the crispy tempeh and rice. I have yet to try other things from the menu, but I don't know if I can deviate away from this masterpiece of a meal. You can also choose to get tofu katsu, but I don't remember it being as good as the tempeh so I stick to what I know ;)

Bles D.

Yelp
My friend wanted to try this place and we were in the area. We figured it would be busy during lunch hour but we got lucky and was able to get a table inside. It's a cozy eatery place. Lots of vegan choices. Something very different from what I'm used to but i know my body was probably very happy eating healthy. I got a mini sandwich just because I knew I wanted to have room for dessert. It was actually very fulfilling. I didn't feel yucky after lunch or sluggish. Would highly recommend. Just make sure you have time to wait because it is not fast service. I did see a lot of people picking up phone orders so that is another option.

Ree Ree P.

Yelp
Peace Cafe has been one of my favorite vegan places on Oahu! I'm a 3 yr young vegan since moving here. Their tofu katsu is Def my go-to! I've ordered this many times. Portions are quite generous. I even shared this with my Honey. Another fave of mine is the yakisoba. Yummy and satisfying, just be careful to order the spice you can take. I tried the spicy version, and I usually like that level of spiciness, but this was HOT! All in all, delishushness!

Julia B.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience. Amazing flavors and variety, lovely small space and service is helpful and friendly.

Joseph Q.

Yelp
The Katy was amazing, and the ramen was as good as Japan. Super pleasant and hospitable staff. Much different than most Hawaiian shops. The ambiance was functional and comfortable,

Ayaka O.

Yelp
Yaki soba was fantastic!! I prefer eating this than regular Yaki Soba!! Never had any bad experiences with this place so far!! Very friendly staff and pretty decorations in the restaurant. Even not vegan or vegetarian, you must try!!

Lucy L.

Yelp
Had the katsu curry with tempeh and it was a super great deal. Massive serving size with lots of flavors in the curry and super crispy katsu. I also got a strawberry smoothie and that really hit on a hot day after snorkeling.

Clyde C.

Yelp
First time here and vegan is good. I had the special ramen which was really good. They are always busy. The place is small and service is good. They have a wide menu. The food might take little long but is worth the wait. Thumbs up!

Ric C.

Yelp
"Getting on the Vegan gravy train" Today is National Greasy Foods Day 10/25/22. So I decided to do a bizarro switch and decided to eat healthy. Friends over the years always recommended this little mom n pop near the stadium park if one wanted to try vegan. And so today the we decided to get their tofu katsu plate. In a word- AMAZING. Tofu in any solid form is pretty neutral. No taste, only what is absorbed, coated or what accompanied it will bring out any kind flavor. The breading is not the typical panko coating. The breading is leftover bread used for their sandwiches that has been fried and crushed and used as a coating for the tofu. Anything fried is done with rice oil. What makes this plate so delicious are the sauces and breading crunch. The texture and sauce make the absence of meat an afterthought. I doubt if I would ever go full vegan, but introducing this into one's diet has to be a winner for a multitude of reasons. I look forward to trying their sandwich and soup options too. Will definitely be back. Note: bizarro reference is to the Superman Comic bizarro world. Everything is done opposite. Hence the vegan option for today. Your comic book thought for today LOL.

Marhen L.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING!!! First off the gentleman gave outstanding customer service(you knew my daughter deija) sorry should have asked for his name. He suggested a perfect plate for me, filled with cilantro hummus, assorted salads and vegetables. It was full of flavor I was shocked as I'm not a vegan lol was just trying something new. Lastly THE BEST CHAI COFFEE EVER it was made fresh you can taste all the herbs it was almost like horchata lol it was just DA BOMB!!! Will be returning for some more!!!

Yelp
Cute spot! Saw someone post on IG & wanted to check it out. Located on King street next to Stadium park, street parking in front. Ordered the taco salad - good portion for $15. Some of the items on the menu are pricey though, $7.50 for a tiny piece of vegan cheesecake. Other than that, appreciate the vegan options.

Yelp
We really like this place ... katsu curry, Moroccan stew, yummy salads, and delicious mochi desserts. The food is always fresh and clean tasting ... you feel good after eating their food !!! Nice staff and cute place to wait while you get your meals. If parking is full in the front they have some stalls behind the building. Highly recommended

Yelp
Looking for a solid vegan spot? Look no more and give Peace Cafe a whirl! After many-a-day of eating grand pescatarian-based meals, I was craving some sound vegan food and stopped by Peace Cafe for a bite. I loved seeing a compact menu handwritten on the a chalk board; gave me nostalgic feels! I ordered the tempeh katsu and found myself a table to sit at while waiting for my food. The dining space is a tad small for large groups, but perfect for solo travelers or couples. I quite enjoy intimate spots as such. I waited a few minutes and had my plate brought out to me. To my delight, I peered down at beautiful plate of food with a hearty portion. The tempeh katsu plate was served atop brown rice, had a side of salad, alfalfa sprouts, and two cups of sauce; one, a katsu sauce, and the latter seemed to be a spicy horseradish/wasabi mustard of sorts. The tempeh katsu was alright; it seemed to have been overfried and had too much batter with respect to the tempeh. I was hoping for more tempeh. Perhaps I should've order the tofu katsu instead. Asides from that one flaw, all the other elements were tasty, fresh, and enjoyable. I would certainly visit Peace Cafe again to try out the other menu items, both drinks and meals. Overall, would recommend to all vegetarians and vegans that are in the area!

Yelp
A really quaint Vegan Cafe with numerous options. From Sandwiches, Burritos, Bowls, Entrees (Plates, Stews, Curry), Salads, Drinks, Smoothies & Desserts you can't miss getting something to your liking. During my visit, the jovial Zoey took great care of me. I ordered the BBQ Tempeh, a good & tasty concept. Tempeh & Tofu seems to be the main ingredient in most dishes. I also got the Popeye Sandwich to go for my colleague who referred me here. You can't go wrong with the prices for the portions offered. You can eat inside amongst the greenery & positive affirmation decor or out on the sidewalk patio. The restroom process is a hoot, as you get escorted outside behind the cafe where the employee unlocks the door for you. College Students get a discount with ID. Whether you're a local or tourist, it's a must to visit Peace for their fast casual, comfort Vegan food, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
UPDATE After posting my review here, I was promptly contacted and sent the gift cards. It's telling that that's what it took but I'm still grateful and looking forward to trying their food again.

Yelp
This charming café is a must-visit! The Katsu is outstanding, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oahu.

Yelp
We came here twice during our trip. We ordered most of their sandwiches - liked the Hanoi sandwich the best. We also tried their Katsu plate and liked it as well. Convenient way to order online and pick-up. Will be back during our next trip to Oahu.
