Cool little bookstore by the beach. The coffee smelled great as well. They even have a patio to enjoy said coffee. Great children's section with lots of beach themed books.

Outstanding local bookstore. I needed two books they didn't have in stock, and they ordered them and had them reserved for me. The employees were super friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations. Love coming here!

This bookstore is adorable and a must do while in town. Sometimes they host a craft fair in their parking lot and it's fun to walk around on weekends and see that and shop the crafts local artists have made. It is located inside a cute historic fisherman's building and then has been expanded with a newer add-on. There is a small coffee bar inside. I always stop in here (hello, English major in college) to look for their classics. I have found so many beautiful books inside - a wonderful copy of The Bell Jar, Moby Dick, Anne of Green Gables, etc. etc. Prices are more than fair.

If you love books or even like them a little this is a must see. The most charming bookstore I've ever been in. Good variety to peruse, large children's section as well. Coffee smelled heavenly too! Nice outside seating area.

Recently visited Peach Street Books when my family and I made a day trip to Cape Charles. Beth Ann was sweet to set aside time for us to schedule a shopping appt. They have an amazing selection of new and older books! Will absolutely be making another trip soon just for PSB.

I vacationed for a week in the awesome little coast town of Cape Charles, and I’m so happy I stumbled upon this book shop! It is one of the best I’ve come across in a long time! I found all sorts of things I couldn’t leave without: special edition hardbacks, stickers, a puzzle, and some books by authors I’d never even heard of. There is an excellent variety here, including greeting cards, gag gifts, shirts, totes, small snacks, etc. (Also a great kids section!) The owners are sisters, and you can tell they love what they do. I would recommend this shop to everyone, but especially to book lovers!

Google
Nice bookstore in Cape Charles. Good selection of new and used books from many different genres. They have snacks and drinks, T-shirts and gifts and a bathroom for customers. There is an area outside that is designated for reading. They are open daily with coffee, espresso, and books!

Yelp
What a great book store with the bonus of having an amazingly priced coffee shop. Upon entering, your senses will be hit with the aroma of fresh brewed coffee and you won't be able to resist ordering something. I chose the Iced Chai Tea which was delicious. Their drink prices are much less expensive than any other coffee shop I've been to in recent times. Their book selection is truly wonderful. Don't miss heading to the back left of the store where it continues to wind around with more selections.

Yelp
Peach Street Books is one of the most charming little book stores I've ever come across. The outside looks like a little cottage which sets the stage for the perfect blend of quirkiness and cuteness. The inside is stuffed with books of all different genres. They have unique gifts for book lovers. I collect bookmarks and stumbled across the cutest variety of bookmarks. They also serve coffee. The employees are so kind and inviting. This place is a most stop while in Cape Charles! Check them out!!

Yelp
This is the cutest book store! It is tiny, but sure packs a lot from games, to books, activity books, puzzles, stationery ect. The employee that day we went was extremely helpful. She held great conversation with us as well. Pricing was reasonable and the selection was great. The puzzles offered were so cute. The children's books were plentiful. It looks like they have coffee and beverages, but I did not partake in those. Bathrooms were clean. You just have to ask for a key. You have to hit this store up if you are in Cape Charles.

Yelp
Peach Street Books is a literal gem located in the Cape Charles Historic District. The exterior alone is quaint and colorful and reminds me of a little fairy house. When the sky is perfectly blue like when I visited, its charm is indisputable. When you arrive, you immediately feel the good vibes. This book store carries a mix of new and used books. The new books are marked clearly with little handwritten "new" stickers and the entire selection is mixed together. I was hugely surprised by how diverse their sections were. You can still find anything from fiction, to history, to feminist prose and cookbooks. The shop is arranged like a quintessential small town bookshop and they even have a barista inside slinging basic coffee drinks. I liked all the natural light that filters into Peach Street Books. It has a cozy ambiance that makes you want to stay a while, browse and enjoy. They had the most adorable Peach Street Books apparel with mermaids reading on it, and I looked so hard for one until I realized it was a kids design only. Ugh! Make that an adult design! Peach Street Books is a must visit if you're a bibliophile zipping around Cape Charles on your golf cart.

Yelp
This little shop is a new addition since my last visit to Cape Charles in 2016. This is, of course, right on Peach Street beside Deadrise Pies and has a coffee shop attached to a cute little book store. The inside is a mix of old and modern with the newer building housing the coffee shop area with some take away snack items as well as fresh bagels, coffee drinks and tea. There is a modern seating area inside as well as an outdoor patio area with tons of metal, wood and natural light. Friendly staff greeted us upon entry and we browsed and looked. If you walk into the back you can walk into the old historic building that has been redone and has walls and shelves stuffed full with books for purchase and a few small areas with gift items. A cute addition to the town and perfect with here on the corner of Peach Street. A small lot with a few spots are available for parking if you need - but once you are in Cape Charles you can walk anywhere within just a few minutes so probably not necessary.

Yelp
On my latest visit to the Eastern Shore I stopped by Peach Street Books in Cape Charles. I've been looking for an old out of print Eastern Shore Cookbook. The bookstore is a testament to Cape Charles itself. In the 90's this town was virtually a ghost town. With some new blood and investment it's now a thriving community once again. For example PSA is a rejuvenated old gas station and garage. You actually enter the store through what used to be the garage area. It's the largest part of the book store and also accommodates the main counter / coffee house portion of the business. In front of that is an outdoor dining area where you can sip your coffee, have a snack and read your purchase. The other half of this area is books, as is the second building and connecting corridor. Books are both new and used and there's plenty to choose from. While PSB has what every other bookstore has, they also have a section that is a wealth of information on Eastern Shore and it's history. Unfortunately I didn't find the book I was looking for, and that includes with help from the very nice lady working the counter going through her computer. She did however make some suggestions for other bookstores on the Eastern Shore to check out. All in all a great place to check out if you're in Cape Charles or on the Eastern Shore. They're located on the corner of Peach Street and Mason Ave in the heart of downtown Cape Charles.

Yelp
Great stop for coffee in a lovely independent bookstore! During a family visit to Cape Charles in late December, I was looking for a place to pickup coffee and hot chocolate for the drive to Onancock. The store appears to be in a former car repair garage, but has been renovated to accommodate a mini-cafe and nice book selection. There are also a few outdoor tables on the patio. Be sure to bring and wear your mask before entering the bookstore! I ordered a cappucino and hot chocolate to go, and picked up a $1 paperback book while waiting for the order to be ready. In the front, I was impressed by the specialized collection of historical books on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. If you're driving through Cape Charles for a day trip visit, I would strongly recommend coming by this bookshop for a cup of coffee. Please note that they close at 3:00pm on most weekdays.

Yelp
This adorable bookstore was at the top of my list for places to visit while in Cape Charles. It did not disappoint! The staff were extremely friendly, their merchandise is wonderful, and I love that they offer coffee and refreshments too. The beautiful restoration of this historic building made my heart sing. Hats off to the owners for bringing some things so wonderful to this town.

Yelp
Oh I had such a great time here. It's so tiny and perfect and I love that it's family owned pretty much. There's a section near the front door where there's like two or three carts of books that are only $1, so that's a good place to start. Most of the fiction novels are in the little cottage part, which I thought was the entrance at first but totally wasn't. I'm glad it wasn't, because being in that little cottage just getting lost in the fiction area was great.

Yelp
One of the coolest places in Cape Charles! Huge selection of both new and used books made it a really affordable stop. We especially loved their "Beach Reads" section for a quick vacation book and the rack of $1 books by the door. The range is fantastic, from YA to a shelf of Stephen King to local history. Be sure to stop in for a book or a souvenir, or even just your morning coffee.

Yelp
Great cafe with a wonderful selection of new and used books! Plenty of genres to pick from and it's got a good amount of natural light with lots of windows. And it is in a great location right on the town's main street.

Yelp
Stumbled into this place while looking for morning coffee. Adorable lovely bookstore / cafe with a nice selection and cute patio (dog friendly - water bowl provided!). Had a delicious iced mocha and was pleasantly surprised upon asking that they carry gluten free bagels!

This new business is fantastic!! New/used books + coffee + air conditioning in the Cape Charles heat. What could be better? Also available eastern shore snacks, woodwork, and who know what else!!!! I books!!! Peach Street Books, thank you for making Cape Charles just that much better.

Yelp
Went in to look around and see if they had anything and they have so much. Fiction, non-fiction, cook books, kids books, books on animals and the town. They also have a little coffee shop inside. (The insides bigger than you think looking at the building.) the worker was so nice and informative about where to find what I was looking for. GREAT PRICING. 2 books $11! Highly recommend looking if I'm the area.

Yelp
The best place to go in Cape Charles for a bagel and coffee.
