Peacock Alley

My husband and I went for dessert at Waldorf Astoria. The first person who welcome us was a lady hotel staff standing at the staircase asking if she can help us. She escorted us to Peacock Alley and explained to us all the new renovations and dining options while walking along the beautiful hallway of the hotel. Although all the table seating was fully booked at Peacock Alley but we got lucky to sit at the bar. Our bartender Kellye was fantastic. She was professional and friendly, and made an above and beyond effort to find me a chocolate cake which I was craving for but it was not on the bar dessert menu. The next best thing she did was the Expresso Martini. I like it foamy and dark , she perfected it. All night she politely check on us to make sure we were well look after. I think the entire experience deserved a 6 stars, and every New York hotel should follow such professionalism and great vibe.

We recently enjoyed a delightful lunch at Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, making it a perfect setting for a relaxed midday meal in Manhattan. We ordered the pigs in a blanket and the classic Waldorf salad—both beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were equally memorable; the Waldorf Cocktail and Waldorf Martini were expertly crafted and perfectly balanced, honoring the hotel’s storied legacy. Service was attentive, polished, and genuinely gracious, elevating the entire experience. Peacock Alley continues to embody the timeless sophistication the Waldorf Astoria is known for. Highly recommended for a refined lunch or classic cocktail in New York City.

From the moment we arrived at Peacock at Wordolff of Astoria, we knew we were in for something special. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, elegant, thoughtfully designed, and unlike anything else in the neighborhood. The staff set the tone right away with their warmth and kindness. Our server, Marisol, knew the menu from front to back and guided us with spot on recommendations that made the meal unforgettable. At the bar, Mark was truly the anchor of the evening welcoming, personable, and incredibly hospitable. This was our first time dining here, and he made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down. We also appreciated seeing the GM so engaged; she table touched almost every party, including ours, which added a personal and professional touch to the night. To top it all off, the restaurant featured live music, which elevated the entire atmosphere and made the evening feel even more special. If you’re looking for an elegant, unique dining experience with exceptional service, I highly recommend Peacock at Wordolff of Astoria. We can’t wait to return.

Peacock Alley at the Waldorf is absolutely stunning after the renovations. The space feels glamorous but comfortable, with so much history brought back to life. Food was spot-on and the service couldn’t have been better - attentive without being stuffy. A perfect mix of old New York charm and modern luxury. Can’t wait to come back.

Warm greeting from the staff and a fun evening in the Peacock Alley with a diverse crowd, spacious comfortable seating with many options. In addition spectacular live music. Really beautiful decor, it was worth the wait! Welcome home Waldorf Astoria.

Visited Peacock Alley for dinner with my partner and a friend — while the ambiance was undeniably elegant and the space oozes that old New York charm, the overall experience just didn’t match the setting. The menu felt more like elevated bar food than a proper fine dining experience, and the cocktails were just okay — definitely not worth the steep price tags. The host greeted us with zero warmth, which set the tone, and unfortunately things didn’t improve from there. Our server was lovely at first but mysteriously vanished toward the end of our meal. We ended up flagging down random staff just to get the check because, apparently, they couldn’t find him? For a place with such a rich history and upscale aesthetic, the service and food need serious refinement. It has potential, but sadly, this visit left us underwhelmed.

Quite a welcoming atmosphere at the bar. Mellow vibe at the very spacious seating area. High ceilings, very open floor decor. But its def not the place to be if you are hungry. The menu is mainly seafood and quite light indeed ! It was a nice touch to offer the complimentary mini cheddar crackers and nuts at the bar. In true Waldorf fashion, this spot caters to the elite.

I expected far more from Waldorf Astoria’s, Peacock Alley… especially after their recent renovation, but the experience was a major letdown. The fries came way after our main dishes — and when they finally arrived, they were probably the worst fries I’ve ever had - soggy & burnt. My turkey club was just ok, but definitely not worth the steep price point. The drinks - major miss. Service was equally disappointing. Our waitress was inattentive to the point of being so oblivious, and charged us for a whole dish that was almost the price of a liquor bottle. When we brought it to her attention, her reaction was displeased and her tone implied we were in the wrong. For a place that’s supposed to reflect the caliber of a newly renovated establishment, Peacock Alley completely missed the mark.
