Peak Design NYC Store

As a longtime admirer of Peak Design, I’ve visited their NYC store many times since it first opened. On a recent walk through the neighborhood, I stopped in after noticing the ongoing collaboration between Peak Design and Fujifilm—a perfect pairing, since most of my gear comes from Fujifilm. The store has evolved impressively since opening day. From the refined product displays to the knowledgeable staff, every detail reflects Peak Design’s dedication to craftsmanship and community. I currently own six Peak Design products, and I freely admit my bias: the design, durability, and innovation behind each piece are unmatched. But this week reminded me that their excellence extends beyond the products themselves—it’s deeply rooted in how they treat their customers. While chatting with Alex, the store manager, I mentioned that my very first Peak Design purchase—the original Slide camera strap from 2015—was still in remarkable condition. To my surprise, Alex informed me that due to a slight issue I was having with my Slide - it qualified for a free replacement. The next day, more than a decade after that initial purchase, I walked out with a brand-new Slide strap in hand. Experiences like this reaffirm why I’ve been an advocate for Peak Design all these years. Their products are built to last, their service stands apart, and their commitment to photographers shows in every interaction. I look forward to my next visit—and to continuing to champion what might just be the best photography accessory company on the planet.

The Sales team was really helpful. They gave me a number of options to fill my need. Purchased the 30L Everyday pack with Hip Belt, small 2L sling and Anchor 4-pack. The great in-store discount was an unexpected bonus. Already own a few camera straps, carbon travel tripod and capture clip. Thank you for designing such great products.

Top-notch customer service, truly matching the quality of the product. My sales rep Lizard walked me through all the features of my tripod. I usually struggle to figure it out on my own and reference from the manual or YouTube videos, but I walked away feeling empowered to do everything he showed me. Will definitely be back.

Very helpful, knowledgeable team here who all seem to be photographers. I wanted to check out their various quick release camera straps, lanyards, and anchors (“capture camera clip”) and they showed me how they all work and are compatible with their other products like tripods. The bags aren’t my style, but they’re very well designed to keep your gear safe and accessible. If you have the opportunity to stop in, it’s a great place to get your hands on all their products and learn from their friendly, knowledgeable staff.

I had a great experience at the Peak Design NYC store. The space itself is beautifully designed, but what really stood out was the staff. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely excited to help. The staff took the time to answer my questions and made sure I found exactly what I needed.

What a delight. I came in knowing of Peak Design’s reputation for meticulously well designed products. And their service/sales experience was equally well executed. Tahiti was so extremely helpful- there was no pressure to upset or to buy- but rather to make sure I walked out with the bag I needed to solve my daily problems of carrying X, Y, and Z. Awesome store for travel and photography-centric bags, totes, and luggage. Always helpful staff. They seem to always have what I want in stock. They have everything out to pick up and touch and test out. Highly recommended.

We went to the store to exchange L's backpack after he discovered a small issue. It was a really easy process since it has a lifetime warranty. He really likes his backpack even though I think it looks massive though he is 6'3. I was thinking of buying a sling bag since I was at the store even though it looked too bulky on me but luckily they ran out of the size I wanted. It's not really my style but they're not really expensive compared to a designer bag.. After reading some reviews, I decided against it since it's not something I'd use. Again he loves his Everyday Backpack which he uses for work. The customer service was great. They were talking to a customer but once L got his attention, the guy was really nice and helpful.

This store is amazing -- beautifully designed with a thoughtful, modern layout that makes shopping a real pleasure. The product selection is top-notch, as you'd expect, and the attention to detail is impressive. One standout feature: they provide wooden tablets cut to the size of popular devices like MacBooks, iPads, and Surface Pros, so you can test how different bags or accessories will fit before buying. A smart and helpful touch that really enhances the shopping experience!

Chances are if you're coming to this store you already know who Peak Design is, so I'll skip that part. The store is very aesthetically clean, with wooden tables and bags/accessories mounted on walls. They even have a little sitting areas upfront in case you've been walking around all day and need a break. This is a great place to get help with your gear and buy any extras you may have forgotten before flying to NYC. Or if you live in the city, a good place to bypass shipping and just buying it in person. I think the best part is that you get to touch and try the bags, so you can 100% make sure they fit your needs and expectations

Finally I have found a bag that tells me everything I need to know. It might sound poetic but it is true. Yet it is not just the bag but all the items at this store are worth considering. I'm just waiting for them to venture into big luggage. With me they have a loyal customer forever.

I came into the city to get my bike serviced at Last mile and figured I would walk over to the brick-and-mortar of this quality brand. I had previously ordered a bike mount for one of my 2 bikes and wanted to get a another for my other bike. Wasn't a far walk and I ended up getting there a little early (they open at 12 on Sundays). When I got in, I noticed a big store with great selection. They had a lot of camera accessories for DSLRs as well as for smartphone cams. I was in particularly take advantage of their black Friday deal on a bike mount for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Before the purchase, I wanted to ask the associates some questions about the specific mount and get their idea on it compared to another model I saw. Both associates were very knowledgeable and helped me make my final decision. I got a great deal on the mount considering the Black Friday deals PD was having. I have to say, this brand holds up. They have quality products, great customer service (online too) from a knowledgeable staff, and great value for what you'll pay for. You won't be disappointed with your purchase and dealing with these guys in-person in their lower Manhattan store. PD offers a lifetime warranty on their products - just make sure you register your purchase. I also wanted to mention that the 2 guys in the store on 11/26/23 helped recommend a good bagel sandwich within walking distance. The place they suggested was so good that I made sure to stop back at the PD store and thank them for the new spot on my radar.

I've been patiently awaiting this store's opening for years now, and it has not disappointed. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service, and a wide variety of durable and aesthetically pleasing bags and accessories on display for anyone who loves to travel. I've been an avid fan since their first bag, and I can't wait to see what they do next. My suggestion to those that visit and that are enthusiastic travelers; the tech pouch and packing cubes are indispensable for my work flow, and I've collectively, along with the Everyday Bag and the Travel Bag, put them through about 30-40 flights in the past couple of years. Also, they're a certified B Corp, so if you needed a climate conscious reason to shop here, you have one now. Keep it up PD team!
