Not sure breakfast was a good choice for trying out this spot. It wasn’t busy at all — nobody else there on a Saturday, which I gather is rare. Coffee was good and service was fine. But the Rise & Shine pie was disappointing: lovely appearance but bland taste. I will have to return sometime to try a lunch/dinner option.

A different and unique food experience in Whistler. The pies are very hearty and there is usually a good selection. Add on the peaked option (mash potatoes, mushy peas, gravy) for more delicious bites. Pies have good flavour and not too salty. The inside is very small and tight so grab your order to go and eat at a bench, table wherever when the weather is nice ( the takeout boxes are very sturdy so will travel well).

One of the more unique finds during our visit to Whistler was an Australian pie shop. We tried the vegetarian pies with gravy, and they were absolutely worth it—a must-try if you’re in the area. It was our first time trying Australian pies, and we were pleasantly surprised by the flavors. Do note, there’s no free parking and no restrooms available, so plan accordingly.

I am always down for a savoury pie so when I learned about this place, I made a mental note to try it out. I ordered the chicken brie “peaked” which added a scoop of mushy peas along with mash potatoes and gravy. The pie was delicious and served within seconds of my order which satisfied my typical lack of patience when hunger strikes.

Nut allergy friendly: I didn't have any issues with the pie I had! While it is a little walk to the corner of Whistler Village, it is totally worth it to go to this little savory pie shop! Pies are basically whatever is available at the counter (there's a heated showcase system) and they are made and refilled quick. I got the Traditional Aussie which is a classic ground beef, onions & gravy pie, loaded (or "peaked" - costs extra, definitely worth it for some extra veggies). One loaded pie is a solid dinner, or one and a half normal pies. I got to sample my friend's Beef Curry pie, which was deliciously spiced, and the Hopper, which was interestingly game-y but I would not order it again. They also sell frozen pies to-go! Great for desserts or to heat up so you don't have to make the walk over here if you stay in Blackcomb Village. There are two small tables outside and very limited seating inside. It might not look full, but that's because their service is so quick. Don't be fooled, as the food is great and very affordable for a ski town!

Dessert pies! I got the vegan mixed berry and my husband got the apple crisp. Both were delicious, service was fast and helpful, the smell of this place is incredible! Amazing flaky pastry, so many options meal all day long.

Google
The pies are a delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch item! I got The Hopper which is a kangaroo meat pie and was shockingly delicious. It tastes like a spiced ground beef and is very flavourful. I got my pie peaked with mashed potatoes, mashed peas, and gravy, which is how I recommend you order it. The options are vast and the concept is super cool! I also got an espresso which tasted great as well. One thing to keep in mind is that seating is limited in the store, and if you have a big group you may need to dine outside or order for takeout if the place is busy. I highly recommend this place!

Google
A Must-Try in Whistler! Peaked Pies is a true Whistler signature. The pies are delicious, warm, and full of flavour. Topped with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy — it’s comfort food at its best. Don’t leave Whistler without trying one!

Yelp
AMAZING. My husband and I came here YEARS ago and we absolutely love their meat pies. I remember we came here twice during our trip- for breakfast and dinner. Peaked pies is a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their menu consists of several meat pies, breakfast pies, and sweet pies. They even serve coffee and tea. We recently came back to Whistler with our toddler and I have to say that this place did not disappoint. We stopped in for dinner on one of the nights we were in town and ordered a traditional Aussie and steak and mushroom pie. We even upgraded our meat pies by adding Peaked- mashed potatoes, mushy peas, and gravy. We also got two lamingtons. We ordered our food to-go and everything came out quick and hot. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Peaked pies is one of our favorite restaurants in Whistler Village. We will be sure to come back again and again. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
Stopped in for a super late lunch on a Friday just before 3:30. There will still people coming in an out at that time, but it wasn't super busy. All of the pies are already made, and they reheat them for you. We ordered the Traditional Aussie, Butter Chicken, and Sausage Roll. The Traditional Aussie is ground beef with gravy, which I liked over the butter chicken because the chicken tasted old and dry. We didn't get them peaked (mashed potatoes and mushy peas) because I don't like peas. Even without it peaked, it was enough food for two people. The sausage roll was good too, but it was more like a roll of ground beef than it was sausage. I wish it came with some sort of dipping sauce. Good place for quick meal. I can imagine this place getting packed during the wintertime when people are on a ski break, and want a quick but hearty meal. There is limited seating though.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I decided to try Peaked Pies for lunch, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! I went for the sausage roll because I love garlic and onion flavors, and it did not disappoint. The taste was spot on and really satisfying. However, I took a bite of my girlfriend's chunky steak and mushroom pie, and wow, it was even better. I kind of wished I had ordered that one instead! The service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. We chose to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day, and it made our lunch all the more enjoyable. The atmosphere was just perfect. All in all, we had a great time at Peaked Pies. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the outdoor seating was a lovely bonus. I would definitely go back and maybe try that steak and mushroom pie for myself next time!

Yelp
Came here after a day of snowboarding and boy aren't we glad we did?! The shop was a little small and cramped but they move pretty quickly. We went maybe an hour before closing and it wasn't too crowded. We got a couple of dessert pies and the traditional aussie peaked. All very delicious! Will definitely be back when I'm in Whistler.

Yelp
Steak and mushroom pie - I got it peaked and it was yummy. All the pies had flaky crusts. I think it's worth getting it peaked if it's your first time! Beef curry pie - this was the most flavorful Butter chicken pie - this was the least flavorful Mixed berry pie - came out slightly warm, berries were a little tart. I wouldn't pay for whipped cream next time, it tasted more like a whipped butter Mini lamington - it was my first time trying a lamington, it was ok! Food came out super fast. The place is small and there's little seating but it wasn't crowded.

Yelp
I've never seen a place like this before! Peaked pies serve up Australian baked goodies and it was definitely interesting. ***What we ordered **Steak & Mushroom Pie (7.5/10) ~ This was perfect for a cold day! Super cool to see that this is almost similar to a pot pie but with all the crazy toppings on top! The only thing that really sucked about this was how soggy the pie gets. If you're not eating it right away I would HIGHLY suggest asking for all the toppings on the sides. **Sausage Roll (5/10) ~ There wasn't too much flavor and it did taste a little bland/dry. However, if you did happen to dip your sausage roll into the gravy it made it taste 10x better. Overall, I'm giving it a 2 because staff was rude asf. When we went to go/check on our food one the girls gave us attitude and said, "I was calling your name this entire time" and we looked in shock because we had a party of 6 and of course the 6 of us aren't going to wait in the tiny shop crowding the area and clearly she saw us waiting outside. When we also asked for take-out utensils she ALSO rolled her eyes at us, like it was a problem (lmao she even knew the order was to go m, so it SHOULD of came with utensils to begin with). Another thing too was that by the time we sat down at a random table away from the shop we noticed that they skimped us out on our order and forgot a whole pie that we ordered.. So, setting all that aside. The food was honestly pretty good and it was nice getting to try something different. But the staff that interacted with us in the end was NOT IT.

Yelp
I was so exited to visit this place! Cozy, clean and cute. I was lucky enough to grab a seat and table! Ordered a combo (spinach ricotta roll and salad). The roll was a bit too dry, and the salad was fresh and tasty. Also ordered lunch to go for John. Since I had to take the bus, I got the sides separately to avoid the pie getting soggy. The traditional Susie was tasty all together with the sides. Oh, and thank you for the free minington when checking in. It was scrumptious
google avatar

Arshey R.

Yelp
The food was good, hot and cold - def get the gravy and the peas on top of the mashed potatoes because that makes the whole dish imo. Service was pretty quick and it was well worth a try. Love the woodsy vibes too. The dish is very filling, if you're going to eat here then it is basically a whole meal despite the size.

Yelp
Went to Whistler for a day trip and wanted to grab something quick for lunch. Saw the great reviews this place had and decided to grab a quick bite. They have so many options for their pies and it was hard to choose one. I went with the most interesting one, the hopper. The hopper is a kangaroo meat pie and it was decently sized. I did not get any of the toppings as I wanted to taste the filling of the pie. The filling tasted like ground beef, but leaner. Tasted pretty good and I was satisfied. Super friendly service. Limited indoor seating as it is a small place. Recommended for a quick bite!

Yelp
Ok so I LOVE all desserts... except pie. I never order it or eat it, it's just not my thing. But... Peaked Pies is now in my top 10 favorite places of all time. I got the veggie pie & vegan pie, hubs got the classic beef pie & kangaroo (yes like actual kangaroo) pie. We def underestimated the size of the pies bc they have VERY healthy servings but they were great leftovers for the next day. For dessert we tried a Lamington and berry pie, both were mouth-watering and scrumptious. Everything is cooked with so much flavor, incredibly fresh, and sooooo delicious. You can tell they are made with so much care and authenticity. It's like getting a soul hug from food. This was the best meal we had in Whistler by far!!! We literally ate here twice in a 4 day span. The staff are incredibly friendly, the cafe is a little tight but very cozy, and the location is perfect. Seriously don't miss this on your trip to Whistler because it's a gem that we will be thinking about for a very long time.

Yelp
Amazing pies!! Who knew crust could be so buttery and delicate. The fillings are perfect. I don't even like pot pies. These are definitely not pot pies. They are in a whole other category. The flavors are amazing. They sell these by the bags. We were lucky to get two. The steak and mushroom one was like heaven. My husband had chicken that he raved about for days. We will visit again as soon as possible

Yelp
Nothing beats comfort food in Whistler! Afyer a day of shredding than a savory pie topped with mashed peas swimming in gravy! Service is super friendly, and you can ask to top of your pie with extra gravy, as well. Weekend in Whistler isn't complete without this gem of a place.

Yelp
Peak pies is a crowd favorite everytime we are in Whistler! Location: On outskirts of the village, near the Pizzeria Antico. We have eaten in before but there are just 3 small tables inside, and one outside. I personally recommend taking home to eat, they stay warm, and reheat very well! Ate alot of these as leftovers the next day. Portion sizes: We tend to like sampling multiple pies, an adult would typically eat 1 pie (or more if they are hungry), whereas my kids would eat 1/2 a pie. Wish they sold sides! Favorites in order -- * Hopper - kangaroo: A surprising, crowd favorite * Bacon cheese: My favorite, because it came with big chunks of meat! * Traditional: Sounded boring, but was really good * Berry pie: As you might expect, but very good - I ate the entire thing on my own! * Butter chicken: My kids enjoyed it so much that I did not even get to sampel it. Was told it was not spicy! * Chicken leek: Not a big fan of this one.

Yelp
Got the traditional Aussie pie with peaked add on. I would definitely get again if I was eating there but for on the go, I would forgo the peaked add on. It was quite the meal and I was full off the dish and loved the mash potatoes, mushed peas and gravy. My boyfriend really likes the steak cheese bacon pie!

Yelp
Came by today quickly to try a pie since we heard they were all the rave. We ordered the steak, bacon, and egg, and it was delicious. The puff pastry was cooked perfectly, and the filling was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We also decided to end with something sweet, so we ordered their cinnamon bun. They offered to heat it up for us, which made all the difference! So glad we stopped by to try out this gem!

Yelp
I've never had Australian pie before, so I was really excited to try this place as we walked passed it a few times since it was near our hotel. I was still hungry for breakfast and decided to stop by here as they also sold coffee which my cousin was craving. Once we walked in, we were greeted by the cashier who was really friendly and let us choose dine in or take out. There's some high tops and a few tables, but there's not lots of room and gets filled up quick. Luckily, we were the only ones in the store to begin with. I decided to get their signature peaked pie which came out within a few minutes hot. You get your plate from the side counter and can go sit down at a table. There are additional salt and pepper or ketchup on the side to use as well as additional silverware. I thought it was cool that they had frozen pies for sale in the back too. The service is very minimal interaction as it seems it's usually just one worker in the shop? She takes our order and leaves us alone for the rest of the meal. You don't bus the tables yourself, just leave the dishes on the table and they'll take it off after you leave. We all ordered different thing, but I got the vegetable medley and made it a peaked pie: the peaked pie essentially comes with mash potatoes, mushy peas and gravy atop. This was really interesting. I've never had anything like this before, but I honestly thought it was very bland. It lacked salt and even the gravy was not as rich as I was expecting. The mash potatoes resembled an instant mash flavoring and smooth powder texture. The peas were slightly better, but what you'd expect of "mushy peas." I liked how flaky the pie was and it had a good amount of filling inside. The toppings made it soggy fast which I didn't enjoy, so next time I think I would just get the pie alone. Now had there been some sort of hot sauce or more seasoning in the gravy or pie overall, I think I would've enjoyed it much more. I did use the ketchup, but it didn't enhance my palate as much as I had hoped. The presentation was pretty for sure. 16oz long black coffee: my cousin said this wasn't bad, but tasted like instant coffee. It got the job done for needing caffeine and she added cream and sugar to make it more enjoyable, but it wasn't anything spectacular. spinach & ricotta roll: was very dry... the ricotta was crumbly and overall needed more salt and herbs to flavor it. my pie was filling though and I believe it's redeemable with a bit more seasoning, but it had a good base which is the reasoning for my 3 stars. Out of all the places we ate in Whistler, this definitely wasn't the worst. It's a nice spot for a quick meal and caffeine fix before you start your day. It was just a bit more pricier than I would've expected for the amount of food given. I also don't think the peaked upgrade is worth the surcharge as it didn't add to my experience.

Yelp
This is an unassuming shop in Whistler Village serving up meat pies and other sides. Workers here are very friendly. I got two pies with peas and potatoes, and it came with some gravy to put on them. The pies went very well with the gravy, though the peas didn't add much to the experience in my opinion. Overall, great place for a quick & casual takeout meal if you don't want to go to one of the other sites-down restaurants around the village.
google avatar

Jesse S.

Yelp
Beautifully baked pies! A nice flaky crust that can't be beat. I thought the lentil mentil was delicious. Packed full of vegetarian flavor. The butter chicken was also nice, but the flavor was a bit subtle. Get your pies peaked (mashed potatoes, mushy peas, and gravy) if you like peas, it overpowers the rest of the pie. There's not a ton of seating, so plan your visit carefully or take your order to go. The staff is incredibly helpful and will walk you through the ingredients in everything. Tons of great dessert options that are worth coming back for!
google avatar

Kristina M.

Yelp
Gotta love an Aussie meat pie and to find them here in Whistler was pure gold. Perfect size before hitting the slopes, midday lunch, after slopes snack - all around just a delicious delicacy that's difficult to find outside of Australia. The crust is perfectly flakey and the fillings all resemble traditional Aussie pies, plus they has sausage rolls and lamingtons. This was a wonderful and warm breakfast on a snow day. We looped our friends into coming here multiple days of our weeklong ski trip.
google avatar

Callista R.

Yelp
Great meal in whistler after spending the day outside. I added the peak to the pie. The gravy was great but I didn't like the texture of the peas (though that may be personal preference). Staff were really friendly. Small seating area but people move in and out quickly and easy to do takeout as well.
google avatar

Lena D.

Yelp
[Review from a Texan] I stopped by Peaked Pies after a morning of ziplining and the pies here really hit the spot! I got the traditional Aussie pie which includes ground beef, onions & gravy and then I chose for the pie to be "PEAKED" which adds on additional toppings on the pie (e.g. mashed potato, scoop of mushy green peas & gravy to your pie). Highly recommend getting your pie peaked because that gravy is phenomenal. The pie is a decent personal size but can be shared by 2 people. Space is slightly limited inside with 3 tables and 3-4 stools at the countertop. This is my first time trying an Australian pie place and I'm looking to more in the future. Peaked Pies will definitely be a new stop for me when I'm in Whistler!

Paris R.

Yelp
Tried steak mushroom pie, was excellent. The ratio of peas, potato, gravy and meat was perfect.
google avatar

Claire L.

Yelp
Kangaroo pie??? Honestly the flavor was not as pungent as I was expecting. Very filling meat pies with good flavor and a flakey crust. Get it peaked for maximum value (though I do feel like there was too much peas, took away from the flavor of the filling). My friend thought the butter chicken one was very very good. The pumpkin pie was too cinnamony for my liking though.
google avatar

Kailee B.

Yelp
It's a homey place to get Australian pies. The peaked style is the kind we got. We got the steak and vegetarian--both decent. However, I was hoping for more layers of flavor but it was slightly bland for the vegetarian one. They are very filling. I also tried their caramel pies which is a little too sweet for me. They turn the music on very loud at end of night which hurt our ears.
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Aussie style meat pies. All of them are good. Also have some innovative flavors and dessert pies.
google avatar

Abby L.

Yelp
If you think pies are good on its own... Holy moly, you definitely need to try these ones! Who would have thought that just adding mashed potatoes, peas and gravy would make it SO much more delicious? I really couldn't get enough. With the Traditional Aussie pie, everything just went so well together! The other pie we got, the rise and shine, was basically a quiche. A little dry in comparison to our peaked pie but it was good for breakfast! On a side note, how cute is the named peaked pies especially in a mountainous area like B.C.
google avatar

Teri S.

Yelp
Always a must stop when we come to whistler! We typically get meat pies togo but recommend getting a fully loaded pie if you are going to eat there.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
One of my favorite stops whenever I come to Whistler right in walking distance of the ski slopes! A treat for anyone who is never gone to Australia before, and really demonstrates Whistler as an international town. Check this place out if you're from the states because nothing like it really exists there, especially Washington if you're from Seattle. The pies are the perfect amount of flaky crust with a gooey delicious topping. I really enjoy the traditional Aussie pie. if you're more adventurous and can eat anything, you can try the kangaroo pie, which is actually made with kangaroo I would also recommend paying for the add on and getting the pie with mashed potatoes and peas, but be warned if you get this, you probably can only eat one They have a small eating area that if you go out and not a busy time, you may be able to nab a seat, but most times I usually get the pies to go and heat them up in the oven if my Airbnb. I would definitely take a stop here if it's your first time in Whistler !
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
We didn't have a chance to eat at the shop since we just had a huge lunch, but when we saw the pie shop we knew we had to buy some to go. The pies were still delicious even when cold so I can only imagine how good they would be at the shop!
google avatar

Thomas R.

Yelp
Good ambiance I never had the food but apparently the service is great. The minington my brother had was delicious.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
First time trying this place I grab the rise and shine it was enough to share with husband for breakfast. the pie was so yummy that we returned the next day!
google avatar

Melissa K.

Yelp
Tried Australian Pies and Kangaroo Pie, we had these pies with the mash potatoes and gravy on top .. we are not big on the peas.
google avatar

Gerald N.

Yelp
Came on a weekday and there was a short line. It is small inside so you could wait a bit. We ate inside so the food would be warm. 1. Steak and mushroom pie - Good flavor, average amount of filling, average crust. Didn't taste unique to me but was still good. 2. Apple crumble - Great to split or to eat yourself. This is heavy but saved the day! Overall, good to try at least once or as a snack/lunch
google avatar

Miriam C.

Yelp
Cozy pie spot with limited seatings located in the Whistler village. We tried the following savoury pies - Butter Chicken, Chunky Pepper Steaks, Chicken Mushroom & Leak, and Traditional Aussie. All tasted great but my personal favourites were the Butter Chicken and Chunky Pepper Steaks. We also got additional frozen pies to go, it was easy to heat them up at home and still tasted great.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
We heard about this place from a couple we met on the gondola. They highly recommended it so we had to try it. You walk in and there's a glass case filled with about 12 different types of pies. Most meat, a couple vegetarian. We ordered and the lady at the counter asked if we to upgrade to a peak pie. (What that is is a scoop of mashed potatoes,- scoop of mashed peas, topped with brown gravy.) Of course we do! I got the steak and Guinness pie and it was really good. Nice and hot for a cold day. We added a drink and a millington to make a combo. Highly recommend after a day of skiing

Sandy S.

Yelp
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! The food exceeded my expectations! My husband had the chunky steak and mushroom pie, he added mashed potatoes and smashed peas and gravy on top, I had a bite, soooo good! I had a Ned Kelly pie sans the potato, peas and gravy but just as wonderful! If you have a chance to eat here please stop in. There are also sweet pies and other sweets.
google avatar

Audrey H.

Yelp
Decent pies, tasted kinda frozen/doughy. But they have a great varietiy and interesting choices (i.e., kangaroo meat)
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
Yummy! Quaint little spot with unique and tasty food! Need one of these where we live in Colorado!
google avatar

Yelp
Sooo delicious. My favorite is the pepper steak pie. Peak it! The butter chicken tasted more like Mexican spices in my opinion- but it was still good!
google avatar

Timmy W.

Yelp
Please open a restaurant in Houston. I am begging you! These flaky, golden brown little pies are heaven. We ordered the steak and mushroom peaked pie. What is a peaked pie? The best thing ever! We had our savoury (I'm using their spelling) pie peaked which means it is smothered with mashed potatoes, mushy green peas, and gravy. It's an explosion of flavour (look I did it again) in your mouth. I literally could eat the gravy by itself and I would not feel ashamed. The lady was so kind to give me a little extra on the side. The place is a small, warm cozy place located in the village. You can eat here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You could eat here for all three meals if you really wanted to. This place is amazing!
google avatar

Elaine C.

Yelp
We love Peaked Pies! Their crusts are flakey and their fillings delicious! We usually get the chicken and leek, butter chicken, original and steak and mushroom. This time we got the sausage roll. On a freezing -24C day, it was a savoury surprise - flakey and flavourful. I prefer the butter chicken pie as it has a little kick to it.
google avatar

Shannon R.

Yelp
Had an Aussie pie, peaked(mashed potatoes, smashed peas and gravy). This is beyond delicious comfort food! I wish they had one close to me. We also grabbed a sausage roll.
google avatar

Arlene S.

Yelp
Their peak pies are absolutely amazing that I came back here again to purchase more pies before my drive home. I ordered their traditional Aussie pie with ground beef and onion toped with mash potatoes, mashed peas, and gravy. I really enjoyed every bite of the dish. I'm not a huge fan of the mashed peas but the savory gravy made it more enjoyable. The mash potatoes were so creamy and smooth. I also tried their butter chicken, steak/bacon/cheese, and the breakfast ones. The steak was a bit too chewy for me. The butter chicken was delicious and great flavor. The Ned Kelly was delicious and taste pretty similar to the traditional Aussie pie. The Rise & Shine tasted like a breakfast plate of sausage, eggs, and cheese in a pie; nothing too special so my least favorite one out of the ones I had.

Dev W.

Yelp
Kept my Aussie family happy, a little taste of home! Great crust, good quality meat.. great afternoon snack!

Yelp
Peaked Pies has locations in Vancouver, so it has been on my list for years but I never had a chance to try them until I was in Whistler. Honestly, the pies themselves were alright and this is probably one of the more affordable options in Whistler. However, I don't know if they are worth the line up and price, and I would definitely not recommend getting them "peaked" unless you want a good photo. I know I said they are on the more affordable side, but that's only because food in Whistler is just expensive, as they are still pretty expensive for a single pie, especially if you get them peaked. The pies are $8.25 and cost like $4 to get them peaked, which basically mean you get a scoop of mashed potatoes, a scoop of mashed peas, and gravy to pour over. We tried the Traditional Aussie and the Steak, Bacon & Cheese pies, both peaked. They were both okay, the Traditional Aussie being more flavourful out of the two as I couldn't really taste much bacon and cheese in the other pie. The crust is pretty good and pies came hot. The mashed potatoes tasted almost like they could be instant, and the mashed peas have no flavour. You could make the mashed peas at home by boiling some in unsalted water and mashing them up. Because of this bland "peaked" topping, I felt like they could have provided more gravy, but they really only give you enough to coat the top. Anyway, I'd say that it's worth trying at least once and if you want something more affordable in Whistler. However, I probably won't be getting it again.

Yelp
These pies were so delicious! We tried 4 different flavors and all were amazing! -traditional with ground beef -steak with bacon and cheese -steak with mushrooms -lentil

Yelp
Awesome food, no wait, easy and fast. Perfect meal after a cold day. Everyone in our group loved.

Yelp
The tastiest little pies both sweet and savory selections were just perfect for mountain comfort food! We loved the peppered steak pie and the butter chicken pie! Very unique yet easy and casual also can be had for every meal of the day!

Yelp
Awesome value. If you are in a rush or on a budget in Whistler this is a must stop. It's great. The pies taste really good, and have a cheap and cheerful charm to them. Recommended

Yelp
I've never heard of Peaked Pies until I visited Whistler, even though they have locations in Vancouver as well. Whoops. I love a good savory pie, so when I saw this place pop up in my Yelp search, I was immediately intrigued. We came by Sunday evening around 7:30 pm and I was relieved to see they still had a good supply of pies. I wasn't sure whether they would sell out of their most popular flavors. There is seating here but it's limited. Definitely meant to be a eat and go place. All pies are $8.25 each, with the option of making it peaked (+$3.95), which means to add mashed potatoes, green peas, and gravy on top. I asked the employee which flavors were most popular, and she said anything on the bottom shelf of the display. This included the traditional Aussie, chunky steak and mushroom, chunky steak and pepper, and steak, bacon, and cheese. I went with the chunky steak and mushroom and skipped the peaked option, as I wanted to walk and eat with the pie. That ended up being a little bit harder than I imagined, since there was some gravy inside the pie as well, but I made it work with a couple of napkins. The actual pie was delicious. The beef chunks were tender, and they do a great job of keeping the pies warm without the crust getting too dry.
