We ate here on our last night in the Grand Tetons to celebrate our recent engagement. Our server Brian was exceptional. The huckleberry short rib, country fried bison & blueberry cobbler were delicious. The view of the lake through the tall windows at sunset was worth it itself. Wonderful experience.

Yum!! We had a really lovely dinner here overlooking the beautiful jackson lake & the tetons! Highlights for us were the signal mountain of nachos -- huge and delicious! the rancher pie, and the bison country fried steak, though nothing on the menu disappointed! this was our favorite place we ate in the park!

I ordered an NY strip steak medium and extra trout cake. The food is very salty. The steak is dry and no juice in the meat at all. It’s just terrible. The BBQ pork my husband ordered wasn’t good either. We paid more than $200 includes the service fee. It’s just not worth the price.

We enjoyed a delicious meal here while visiting the Tetons! I loved the trout and my husband had a delectable steak. Both were absolutely delicious, including the sides. Don't forget to order the speciality margarita! Wonderful! Delightful wait staff and the view of the lake was nice. Best meal we had during our vacation in Jackson, Wyoming.

Good food, great service, and a spectacular view of Mt. Moran. We had the buffalo stew (great), and the buffalo sliders (good). The highlight of our visit was one of our kids ordered chocolate milk and asked for whipped cream. They brought out a cup that looked like a sunday, complete with a cherry on top. It set a wonderful tone for the rest of the meal. Note: Peaks restaurant and trappers grill share a reception area, and you need to specify which one you want when you arrive.

This is for the signal mountain restaurant. Freaking terrible food. I got one of the hamburgers and I’m pretty sure they microwaved it. My wife got the ribs and they were so dry that I could have wiped my tears with it. The hot chocolate was gross but it was the best thing there. The server Zach was really cool but that doesn’t make up for the fact that all that cost $45. Someone needs to build a Taco Bell up there so I can get reliable gourmet food. And it was cold outside. And we slept horribly in our car because our baby was crying every hour and we only saw one moose. I blame everything on that restaurant. The owners owe me their first born.

Google
Overpriced (to be fair, it's like everything around Yellowstone in summer), meh quality. Tried bison stew, do not recommend. If you want to try bison, get a bison burger for 1/3 price and better taste. Sirloin steak portion is french -- this is big county damnit! The only reason I gave 3 stars is that service was friendly.

Inconsistent cooking. The fish and chips at this place is gross! The fries were stale and cold while one of the pieces of cod wasn't properly cooked as the batter was still in it's liquid form. Their breakfast is okay. I got The Prospector and the hot cakes were surprisingly good. Their poached eggs were poorly made (yolk was visible upon serving), but tasted fresh enough. I got a side of the sweet potato hash and it wasn't a hash, more like cubed up sweet potatoes that are slightly undercooked with diced up bell peppers and onions. I wouldn't suggest coming here for lunch or dinner unless you're starving.

Yelp
Great option here for rustic fine dining right in the heart of Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming. Sure, there's a gigantic stuffed Moose head looming over you but if you look the other way, it's a magnificent, serene view of Jackson Lake and we were treated to a glorious sunset weaving in and out of the darkening clouds. Oh and the food... absolutely exceeds expectations. Pan seared Idaho trout - accompanied by just the right amount of garlic butter and rested on a farro (ancient grain), cranberry and blue cheese mix - that's a lot of action there supporting a fish that isn't in-your-face fishy to begin with and it goes down easy - you feel like you could eat a 2nd filet rather easily. Wyoming Beef Ribeye - here in cowboy country I had to try the ribeye and it did not disappoint. The picture really doesn't do it justice. Deep deep flavors and nothing quite compares to the fatty bits and suppleness found only in a medium rare ribeye. My only gripe is that they supposedly ran out of horseradish - either raw or creamy. Hmmm sounds fishy to me... Broccolini and fingerling potato sides were solid as well. We did not order the Bison Stew after chef said they would not offer a sample.... but I may actually do that for lunch tomorrow.... Service, besides the aforementioned, was great, prompt and attentive.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews, but had such a remarkable experience with Peaks management after I had left the restaurant that the story must be told - it restored a hunk of my faith in humanity. Peaks is miles from any other restaurant so if you're in the area and want to eat out it may be your only practical option. There is an adjoining bar - they mostly service folks staying at the Signal Mountain Lodge - all part of the same complex. First, the setting...a bank of picture windows affords a panoramic view of Lake Jackson from the dining room - rather spectacular. On the food side, our foursome all enjoyed very tasty... and generous fare. A special call out to the Nacho mountain - both an eyeful and a mouthful - the whole experience was a delight. The restore my faith in humanity episode went like this. I left something behind at our dinner table and didn't discover it until I was hundreds of miles away. When I got home, I called Peaks hoping that the item (about the size of a pack of cigarettes) might have been turned in and I could arrange to have it sent to me. Julianna, who answered my call actually remembered the item. She presumed it had been turned into their lost and found, and advised I contact the manager. She also said that this isn't the first time this happened, and that Peaks is ok shipping lost items back to prior patrons on their nickel. I'll admit this rather surprised me - I guess living in a big city has made me a cynic - if this is standing operating procedure elsewhere, this is the first I've heard of it. I did get ahold of the manager, who confirmed their policy, but hadn't seen the item in the main lost and found, so apologetically asked if I could give her some time to find it. Needless to say, I was way impressed with management attending to my error, a one-time patron sitting 1,000 miles away. BUT HERE'S THE TOPPER. The next email I got from management was a link to the item on Amazon, asking me that if they can't find it, could they buy this as a replacement? It was $38. Come on - are you kidding me? I was the one who left it behind. I think our dinner bill was only $120 - and I'm unlikely to pass that way again. Yesterday the Amazon package was delivered. Kudos to Julianna, Johanna, and her management - they are class acts at a class organization.

Yelp
Delighted to find this place. Great food, in a nice sized dining room with a pleasant atmosphere and an incredible view! Often "fine dining" at a National Park is a pretentious and disappointing experience, but Peaks has good food at a reasonable price (around $20-$30 for an entree). I've paid a lot more for a lot less, in similar locations, such as the nearby Jackson Lake Lodge "Mural Room" restaurant. I was also really happy to see dishes which can be prepared as gluten-free identified as such on the menu. After ordering a g/f entree my server offered to bring out some g/f bread to nibble on. Nice touch! I would definitely come back here and recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
We are not extremely picky but man the service and food in this place is severely lacking albeit friendly. My wife ordered the astronomically priced $29 bison stew which was mostly broth and had undercooked and crunchy carrots to boot. We complained and the manager offered a chintzy 10% discount. I had the trout which was pretty good. The blackberry pie was the worst I've ever had - a soggy crust and gelatinous filling. Save your money and go elsewhere. For a $120 bill I expect much better food and service.

Yelp
Wow! After so many terrible meals at the lodges in Yellowstone, this place is like a culinary oasis in a desert of crappy roadside eateries. If you are looking for a great meal with upscale atmosphere and amazing views, this is your spot! The menu items are classic but they are all executed to perfection, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh, local, and sustainable. My sister, who lives in NYC, said it was the best steak she ever had. Ok... I don't know about THAT, but it was a damn good steak, and the smashed potatoes were like crack, they were so good. My Idaho trout was perfectly cooked and tasted incredibly fresh. Somehow even the rice/orzo pilaf was so good people were stealing bites. The salmon piccata was also a great dish. The fetuccini was tossed in a light lemon-caper sauce with asparagus, and the seared salmon was a perfect medium doneness. Yum... How was the glazed pork tenderloin w/ mashed sweet potato and sautéed broccolini? No clue because dad practically licked the plate clean :( As for dessert, do not skip the blackberry pie! I normally hate pie because of the usual gooey, super-sweet fruit fillings, but THIS pie is really good. The filling on the firmer side, and the flavor is perfectly balanced between sweet and tart. Specify that you want it warm, and you'll be in heaven! Oops, I forgot the appetizers.... Skip the garden salad - it's whatev. The cheese dip sounds plain but it is freaking amazing. It's like queso on steroids, with chorizo, roasted red pepper, and other good stuff mixed in there. Served with fresh veggies for dipping, it's like the perfect mix of healthy and artery-clogging. Portions are generous and prices are extremely reasonable, with entrees around $18 and apps around $8. Comparable meals in Jackson Hole were way pricier and not as tasty, so don't miss this place!

Yelp
Spectacular views, check. Friendly, attentive service (water glasses frequently replenished), check. Delicious huckleberry drinks, check again. The trout cake starter was really tasty, nicely seasoned. You get 3 generous cakes you can share. The sirloin and bavette (like a skirt steak) were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Don't miss the salsa verde sauce; I had to share mine with the rest of the table. Farro side dish was tasty with feta and cranberries. Pecan pie was a perfect sweet finish.

Yelp
We decided to eat here again because we tried it out a few years ago and thought it was great. However, I'm not sure what happened. I ordered the Farro risotto, which turned out to be a huge mistake. It was nothing like risotto; dry and bland with only onions thrown in for flavoring. I sent it back and asked for a salad instead. It was mainly lettuce and onions with some pickled beets that tasted like they had sat in vinegar for years. My fiancé had the trout, which was a little better but the seasonal vegetables on the side were nothing more than a pile of onions. I don't know why they were so onion-happy but perhaps since it was nearing the end of the season they had a lot of them to get rid of. My dad adds salt to pretty much anything but he said the bison stew was even too much for him. To make up for our bad food experience, they offered us free dessert, which was thoughtful, but the ice cream in our hot fudge sundae had already started melting when it was brought to the table and was spilling all over the place. I don't believe we'll be eating there again as we had better luck at the Trapper Grill next door. The reason I decided on two stars instead of one is because the waitress was incredibly accommodating and handled the whole thing with grace.

Yelp
OK, sometimes when you're eating out in Grand Teton NP (when it's open ...), you want the full-bore tourist menu. That is to say, you want elk sliders and bison burgundy, and you want your wine to be from Idaho. And you want a desert with blackberries. And you want roasted garlic soup. With views of Jackson Lake and Mount Moran in the background. Right? Then you'll be happy at The Peaks. It's part of Signal Mountain Lodge, a comfortable base for exploring the northern half of the Tetons (Dornan's is better for the southern half). They specialize in local and organic preparations, and their signature dishes - including the garlic soup and blackberry pie - are delicious. Plus, getting a good Snake River AVA Syrah (3 Horse Ranch) is a bonus. The bison/elk sliders were good, as was the bison burgundy, which is a nice approximation of the hearty French classic, and they don't short the all-important vegetables, either. The kitchen is skilled and the service is prompt, friendly, and not too intrusive. It's hard to find fault here. They know what they do well, and they don't deviate much from the formula. You won't feel cheated, on the food, the drink, or the views, and if you happen to be staying in one of the cabins nearby, it's a easy stroll back home when the meal is over.

Yelp
Amazing view and fantastic food. After stopping by the lodge on our way out of Yellowstone heading toward Teton Village we knew we would have to come back for dinner. The food at Peaks was awesome. We started with Steakhouse Mushroom Caps and the Cheese plate which were both fantastic. The sausage and turkey gumbo soup was spicy and good. (only complaint was it was to large to finish since I had my main entree coming!) My Bison Osso Bucco was tender and perfect. We brought a wine from Boony Doon and was only charged $8 for a corkage fee which was more than reasonable. I definitely will be coming back here when I am visiting Jackson, Grand Teton, or Yellowstone!

Yelp
Peaks Restaurant is located in a building along with two other restaurants. By the time my family and I got there, there was quite a lengthy line. Considering that not everyone was waiting for the same restaurant, though, we got in quite quickly. The view at Peaks is beautiful. The day we went in, it was a bit cloudy and there were scattered thunderstorms -- such a cool atmosphere. The decor is also very simple but eye-catching, and tasteful. Many of the pieces were on sale as well, which would be a very cool souvenir to take home. Service is very nice and attentive. No complaints whatsoever. Our waitress was friendly and I'm sure she would have been very helpful if we had needed any assistance. My brother and I got the bison burgundy, and my aunt and cousin got the baked Idaho trout. My dad got the elk medallions. My mom, being a vegetarian, got the rice pilaf. The food came out relatively quickly. It was, in a word, decent. I can't really dock them too many points because I appreciate their selection of food. From where I come from, there's not much bison or elk around, so being able to eat it on our trip was a nice experience. The bison burgundy was a bit tough and the onions weren't anything special. The potatoes were delicious, though. My dad's elk medallions were quite modestly sized, and didn't taste extremely special. Both dishes felt more high class because of the sauce and the presentation. The meat was nothing to write home about. My mom, who normally cooks with a minimal amount of salt and oil, complained constantly about how the rice pilaf was extremely salty. She even deemed it unpalatable and didn't finish her meal. I'm less picky than she is, but I found it very salty as well. The trout was the best dish that all of us had picked (and the cheapest of the meat dishes??). I'm not sure I would come here again, considering that this place is a bit out of our usual price range. The vibe and service are very nice, as is the view. The food could have been better, but it was worth the experience.
