We ate Sunday lunch here on a recommendation from our AirBnB host, and booked in advance. I have to say, on behalf of my family, that we have not enjoyed a meal out this much in many a year. There are cheaper meals, but you will surely not find better. The staff were lovely and the venue is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our kids to explore (and collect windfall fruit). So happy, full, and in need of a nap.

We live fairly locally to this lovely pub and have been a few times over the years. I took my family here for my father’s birthday dinner last night. The weather was lovely, the pub was busy, and the staff nailed it! Had great service and the food was the best it has ever been in my experience. We sat outside in the garden and the service was still very good!
Look forward to coming back again soon. Well done to the team at The Pear Tree 😊

Beautiful pub, gardens and location. Friendly and attentive staff. Good, varied menu. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. A lovely evening and I would both visit again and recommend without hesitation. Cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay.

Beautiful setting and interior except lighting was low which made eating a bit tricky for elderly member of our group.
The food was good apart from old spinach. Nice beer.
Was told had to eat at 12.45 as busy, but only one other person in the restaurant 🤭

Gorgeous old pub in a village location with friendly staff. Food is amazing and served beautifully but could have had a more vegetarian options. The puddings are a bit on the expensive side but delicious. The pub is set in lovely gardens too. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful Pub, Both dinner and breakfast were a real treat. We stayed the night, our garden room was quiet and very comfortable, the staff were kind and friendly and I think it was the most dog friendly experience we have had, the walk from the doorstep had far reaching views. We will be back!!

It was nice but I can’t see why it’s a 5*. Our room was in the loft. Extremely hot room with no aircon but they did have fans. If you supply a cot, you should have bedding for it.
There was loud banging coming from downstairs at night which was far from ideal when putting our toddler to bed. The floor boards were extremely creaky in the room. The taps on the bath and plug were broken. However I can’t fault the food, I would come back for that alone but wouldn’t stay there again.
