Small place but very fun! This experience was a touch and tactile experience And I LOVED it. There was a story book in the back that was projected on the wall with art surrounding the room connected to the story and it was a good children’s book! About being kind to small creatures like frogs, worms, and other critters. Abby at the desk chatted with me about other fun experiences I can go to here in the Houston area and we talked about the artists that are presented in the gifts shop. This experience was along the same lines of something you’d experience at Meowwolf and that’s what we talked about. She’s an excellent guide here and she immediately welcomes everyone through the door! I would love to see some of her art work too one day!

My child started art classes there. She loved it. We will try new classes after she completes her fthird art class. The museum is little, cute and they rotated the exhibition every few months. Very nice. Their summer program art class was very amazing my kid loves it and had a lot of fun. And close to the museum it is a playground so the kids can continue to have fun. Also a library.

Great summer exhibition! Stopped by spontaneously for the first time and thought my kids and I would only be there for a few minutes. With the hands on Lego building area we were there for 2 hours! We will have to return again. Highly recommend, especially for the hands on indoor fun for hours.

Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Art" is a hidden Gem in Houston. It is in the mist of plazas (church, neighborhoods, stores and eateries). I have been in the vicinity many of times, down that particular street. This street will lead all the way to I-45 North Freeway in Spring,Texas. That been said, I missed this museum plenty of times and not knowing it's there. I had the pleasure of visiting, ( as chaperone) on my sons field trip. It's a small one, but with a lot of character and it has a library that's along side it. Not only that. . . . It also has a basketball court and baseball fields. We didn't explore the grounds in it's entirety. My sons were asking me, "what was further back along road? I told them, we would have to come back and explore more of the grounds. They enjoyed the field trip. We, enjoyed it!

It is a great little museum. I was there for the Lego Star Wars exhibition. That was awesome! I got a pic with Tim from Lego Masters season 4 😁

My four kids and I came to visit the Lego exhibit at Pearl Fincher. Such a beautiful space! The women that worked at the museum were so helpful and kind, offering little tidbits of knowledge perfect for the ages of my children. There is a hands on exhibit in the back that is open until 3pm.

Yelp
Transform your summer with Houston Moms' guide! Connect with local moms and uncover hidden gems like this revamped museum, courtesy of visionary women! A place for all ages, to come do a scavenger hunt at the museum! There's no cost to visit.

Yelp
Me and my son have a day at the museum. I passed this place 1 million times and have never gone in. Shame on me. So much fun.

Yelp
This is not a large museum, but it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Exhibits change periodically, and some are more worthy than others, depending on your interests. Some exhibits require a nominal entrance fee, while others are free and suggest a donation. A while ago, they had a quilt exhibit. Absolutely breathtaking, as these were true works of art. Last time I visited (recently), there was a "Brick" exhibit - artwork made with Lego pieces and other brick-type building blocks. What a show, especially if you have a "Lego-maniac" in residence or in your family. Unbelievable works of all kinds. A Lego play area (equipped with multiple Lego and Duplo blocks) is in an adjoining room. I watched people of all ages have a true heyday building with all of the pieces. Multiple areas on the walls are covered with peg boards to build on, and there are also numerous tables available for the little ones. A great exhibit! This museum also offers summer camp art programs for children of multiple age groups. Each week of camp has a different theme. You can sign up for one or multiple weeks (each week requires separate registration). You can also opt for morning-only, afternoon-only or full-day camp. Such a great idea, but sign up early in the spring when registration first opens up, because these camps have a limited enrollment and do fill up rather quickly. A nice facility in our community. Easily accessible adjacent to the Barbara Bush Library branch, the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is a true hidden treasure.

Yelp
Small museum, but if they have a particular type of exhibit that you are looking for you will enjoy it. We had gone to see the Lego Brick exhibit. Thank you Houston Brick Club!

Yelp
Everything was pretty cool and we even got awesome balloon animals...however the ladies that were doing the stamps got impatient and decided to stop doing kid tattoos almost an hour early so that sucked and the lady that was doing face paint just rushed through my child designed because she was over it and didn't wanna do her job anymore. So I recommend coming in super early to avoid getting half service here....

Yelp
I almost don't want to post this because I kind of want to keep it a secret hidden gem so it doesn't get crazy busy but...it's to good not to!! Small art gallery focusing on mostly Texas artists. Very clean, bright, and lots of open space to move around easily. The current exhibit is "No Limits : The Artistry of Bricks" and features Legos. They had a large area in the back, sectioned off for children to build and be creative, offering all kinds of Legos (including Duplo for the littles), instruction manuals, idea books, and walls & tables to build on. In the front, they also had an area with beanbags and books with a foam floor to sit and relax. As we were leaving, they were setting up for one of their art workshops, available for both kids and adults. This is definitely the most family oriented art museum I've been to and we will definitely be back! (Note: admission is technically free but they do suggest a $5/adult donation)

Yelp
Great Lego exhibit. My first time there. Very small but nice. Would recommend for children

Yelp
By far the best museum for family I found in Houston. They house a small community gallery which I had my first Museum show. The Hillery Gallery! They care for artists young and old and continually and genuinely. The atmosphere is quaint the staff is knowledgeable and the experience is exactly what art is meant to be.

Yelp
Beautiful art museum right here in Spring! We are lucky to have this up here. The museum has three exhibits per year, and is occasionally host to piano recitals and fundraising events.

Yelp
Great place! They had awesome art and had a lot of activities for the kids. One of my poor kids thought it was a gem museum since pearl was in the name and was very upset it was "plain old art". They cheered him up and gave him some coloring to do.

Yelp
This place is a nice little art museum, but its tucked away and I had no clue about it and I lived close to it. I do have to say this though you have 3 women sitting at the front desk watching me as i come in and leave, you all seen me struggling to get my double stroller through the doot and not 1 of you asked if yall could help me. I thought ut was weird that they asked for my personal information, ut almost made me leave its also one of the reasons i didn't give them my donation, i put it in the tip box. The guy that is the security we talked for over an hour he is so nice and so very helpful. He got me interested in the exhibit and showed me that if i stood on a piece of rock in the painting and he took my picture that it would look like I am standing on the cliff of the grand canyon, i thought that was very cool. I orginally was coming to see Sara moons exhibit which is so stunning, i stood for the longest time just starring. My advice is for the women at the front desk to stop starring people down, and when they see a mother struggling stop talking to one another about your weekend and lend a hand. Stop asking where people live its weird.

Yelp
This museum is located right next to Barbara Bush Library. There are certain unique artworks present that are almost as good as those you would find in the Menil Collection. However, it is a minute museum. Its size reminds me of the Houston Contemporary Craft Center. Despite not having many artworks display, this museum deserves good rating due to its unique artworks, friendly staffs, easy parking, and free admission.

Yelp
It's nice to have an art museum that's not down town. Yes, Fincher is small, and the collection is sparse, but it's trying. Support your local arts! The museum is next to the library and by Meyer Park, so you can do several things in one shot. There was a variety of styles and paintings with good written explanations of the artist and medium, much better than you would find at, say, the Museum of Fine Arts. Given time and support, Fincher is going to be a very nice addition to the Spring area. There is no entrance fee, but a donation is much appreciated.

Yelp
A satellite location for the museum of fine arts Houston. Been to several exhibits. The museum itself is very small. Located in Champion Forest this is definitely a gem in this community. I hope in the years to come this place will grow and expand and perhaps relocate to an area in the neighborhood more noticeable.
