I have gone to Pearl a few times a year the last few years. Perhaps it's getting more popular and this is a result of that, but unfortunately, I feel like what they offer is being degraded and reduced in quality from the talking that is now apparently allowed, not even whispering and even whispering is annoying when there are clearly "no sound, no phone" signs all over the facility, to not caring to cover private areas with the towels provided for that as they move you around during the scrub, to reduced quality in massage technique as stated in these reviews whether too rough, not careful, in my case - incredibly tickly massage on my legs (maybe too much oil, incorrect pressure and hand placement, technique) tons of oil and just sliding a bunch of little fingers in the inner legs I think is a recipe for tickling vs a relaxing good massage. I still tipped my masseuse nearly the entire 20% because my sense quality of service and customer experience ALWAYS comes from the leadership and the management, the top of the company etc. My sense is perhaps they've gotten more business, they're doing well and over time their quality slips, they don't enforce silence they promised in this space which is important to a lot of patrons who come here for services, they hire and train less well, they let masseuses move too quickly out of training to working with clients before they're ready and customers are paying the price for it. I had 2-3 wonderful visits and the rest of them I have had complaints. Each time since it's same or getting worse.
