8 Best Seafood Restaurants in Savannah

"Pearl’s has the trappings of a place where you could celebrate an occasion—the beautiful out-of-the-way setting, the slightly fancified food—without going broke in the process. There’s a 1980s or ’90s upscale-dining vibe to the menu here—in the best way. A Southwestern-style salmon and shrimp entree is perfect, as is the cashew-crusted mahi, the sesame seared tuna, and the shrimp Zaren (with spinach, basil, and sun-dried tomato, that '90s favorite). Classic regional options include shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes." - Sam Worley

Awesome views even better food. We had a wonderful time at dinner here. We didn't have reservations but only had to wait a little while for a table. I had the low country boil and the crab legs with corn and collards. Everything was phenomenal. I loved that the collards had a little spice/heat to them! My husband had the filet and was very pleased with it. It was cooked perfectly. The entire staff was great; hostess, server, and bartender were all awesome. While our food was being prepared we walked outside and enjoyed the waterside view. Overall a great place. Really enjoyed our time here!

Pearl’s impressed us on every level… bar drinks updated seasonally, appetizers, hush puppies free for everyone, a full seafood menu, a couple land options, and wonderful service. We loved the view of the water and plenty of tables by the windows. We’ll absolutely be back! The empty plate photo is the aftermath of my 1lb of delicious peel and eat shrimp 🍤 👌🏼

This restaurant is excellent! The food here is very well prepared and every bit of it is delicious. Perfectly cooked and paired, and served by people who care. This was one of the best dinning experiences we've had in a very long time, and I'm looking forward to returning. It's very hard to find places like this, it's just awesome. Highly recommended!

This was my 1st time here and I must say the food was absolutely delicious. We had the crab meat spinach dip as an appetizer and it was awesome. I ordered the shrimp 3 ways and she had the crab stuffed flounder and it was all so so good. And the hushpuppies were good too.. Well definitely be back soon. Came all the way from Atlanta Georgia. Great job guys.

First time there at the recommendation of a friend. We loved it! Food is fantastic. The hush puppies are to die for. The fried green tomatoes are hard to beat. Our entries were out of this world. We are already planning our return visit. Last but not least the service is top notch.

We're visiting Savannah but wanted something with a local vibe and came across Pearl's Saltwater Grille on Google, what a fantastic find! We didn't have reservations and the wait was quoted only 20 minutes, but we opted immediate seating at the bar. Our Bartender/Waiter was Joe, and he was top notch, friendly, informative and efficient, recommending cocktails, (we chose a Bahama Mama, way too tasty!) and explaining menu items. We had a cup of she crab soup to start, and it was smooth, creamy & decadent, with nice chunks of crab. Also brought to us was a fresh, hot batch of their hush puppies. We agree that they aren't the traditional hush puppies normally made with corn meal, but more of a doughnut batter. Still, with a nice crunchy exterior & fluffy interior, these bites are so addictive, and absolutely not greasy. For entrees we decided on the Parmesan Crusted Grouper with Crab and the Crab Stuffed Flounder. Both were absolutely delicious, the portions were exactly enough to leave clean plates. We both agree that this restaurant was an absolute gem of a find, and whenever we return to the area, Pearl's Saltwater Grille will be top on our list!

Very nice local seafood stop. Beautiful views of the low country water. Local grouper, flounder and lots of shrimp. She crab soup was excellent. Prices are fair and a lot lower than in town. Majority of license plates are from Georgia. Only a 15 minute drive from downtown.

I had the crab stuffed flounder with sauteed spinach; it was delicious. For dessert, I had the sea salt caramel cheesecake and it was delightful. The views of the marsh are wonderful and the service is friendly. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth it.
