Had a great experience here! Our server Maya was super friendly and recommended the sushi appetizer — it was really delicious. The foie gras toast was also surprisingly good. Overall, the service and the ambiance were both excellent. Definitely recommend!

I really want to like this place-the decor and atmosphere is great for date night/girls night or any occasion. Our server is really nice but the sequence of bringing the dishes out was bit of a rush. Now the food: we ordered the foie gras appetizer which was really tasty, the main-the bone in short rib char siu was good-but a little overrated, sure doesn’t worth $90. The shrimp angel hair was surprisingly good. Other dishes we ordered weren’t memorable at all. The server told us they are changing the menu soon-something to look forward to.

We had an amazing dinner at Pears Restaurant — everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. A special thank you to our server Giorgio for such attentive and warm service, it really made the evening even better. We especially recommend the tuna tataki — it was outstanding, fresh, perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was excellent, from start to finish. Great food, great atmosphere and great service — we will definitely be coming back!

I recently went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and I was thoroughly pleased with the service! The menu prices were on the higher side but the food met the standards. We ordered the 5 course peking duck meal with the wagyu siu mai and they were absolutely amazing! I especially loved the restaurant's ambience with dim lights and cute table lamps. I wanted to say a special thank you to our servers: Clara and Paco. They recommend us the menu items listed above and periodically checked in with us throughout our time at the restaurant. Since it was our first time there, they greeted us warmly and provided us with excellent service! I definitely recommend coming here!

First time dining here and the food was amazing. The most memorable part of our experience was our lovely server, Maya. Her customer service was excellent, and she truly went above and beyond to take care of us. Her smile, gestures, and positive body language made the experience even better.

Great Asian fusion food. We love the shrimp and scallop toast, tuna poke, waygu beef Siu Mai, and char siu bone-in beef short ribs. The ribs are good portion good enough to share between 2 people so the $90 price isn’t too bad. The Siu Mai are delicious. The prices reflects the quality of the food. However the pears salad and bone marrow are a bit disappointing. The bone marrow is like a bunch of fried garlic, shallot on a puddle of oil. Overall great service and lovely atmosphere.

My first time at Pears to celebrate my friend’s birthday. All of us give our thumbs up to Maya, her sunshine & friendly smile, her great recommendations and her care of details make us have a terrific night. Food is excellent, both the taste & presentation are gorgeous. Definitely will come again.

The restaurant itself is really pretty, but unfortunately, the food and service were just mid. Definitely not worth the price point. The only dish that stood out was the shrimp and scallop toast. Everything else was average or even below average. It was also disappointing that several cocktails we wanted to try were unavailable. We were there for a birthday, and while the server did bring a complimentary cake (which was a nice touch), there was a general lack of attention throughout the meal. For a more upscale spot, you expect better service. I honestly don't really recommend coming.

Yelp
More of a 3.5/5 rating... I think this place is worth a try and I wouldn't not recommend it, but after trying once I don't think I have a reason to return. The interior is beautiful, though the restaurant space is smaller than what I was expecting based on pictures and videos on social media. In terms of food, we tried the scallop carpaccio, mala mussel noodles, KFC sliders, and tuna poke. My favourite was the mala mussel noodles... the creamy sauce which had a decent kick went deliciously with the starchy noodles. Everything else was just ok, presentation was on point and it was tasty, but nothing really blew me away for what they were priced at. The common feedback amongst my table was that we wish the food had more protein in it.. if you bring your bf or anyone that's a male, they'll probably still be hungry after (unless willing to drop a lot of $$)... I personally couldn't justify spending $90 for a beef short rib. We also felt the menu offerings could be diversified more too... while decently creative, there seem to be a lot of seafood type items, but not a lot of beef or chicken. The service was very attentive and speedy, almost to the point where I wish they didn't come around so frequently. They have a pretty high server to table ratio, so workers were always circulating around and coming by to clear up plates... but sometimes they'd clear stuff we weren't even done with. All in all, this is a solid new restaurant to try with nice vibes and beautifully presented food. Unfortunately, I feel this is just a place you'd give a try and don't need to come back for.

Yelp
Pears has the fancy decor which makes it look like it's a high end restaurant. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday with a group of 9 people. First off, the service was good because of our server, he was attentive and had such good vibes, even joining into some jokes my friends were making. Now the food. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share including : meatballs, kfc sliders, chicken wings, foie gras toast, chicken satay, shrimp toast, and lobster wonton. Out of all the appetizers the only memorable was the chicken wings. What I hate about this is that each appetizer only comes with 2 pieces make except the chicken wings which means if you have a large party, you're forced to order a bunch and the price is overly expensive for just 2-3 pieces for a small appetizer. Moving on to our main dishes, we had the beef short rib, lobster mapo tofu, mushroom fried rice and mala mussel noodles. Again out of all this, the rice was the stand out. The beef short rib with the cost of $90 was small and barely had much meat, totally not worth the price. The lobster mapo tofu same situation. Our food took quite some time to come out which our server apologized so often to the point that we were given complimentary dishes as compensation. We're grateful but the overall food experience was meh. Overall, it's got the vibes and instagram worthy, but I personally didn't enjoy how expensive the food was vs the portion given.

Yelp
I usually stay home on my birthday, but im so glad i went out for dinner this year and chose pears!! absolute gorgeous ambiance, well designed place with great seating, great place to take cute photos and felt like i was dining downtown. Food was bussin, every plate presentation was beautiful and the different flavours definitely left my taste buds wanting more. I had ordered 3 appetizers for myself, the fried broccoli, the scallops and shrimp sandwhich dish and the chicken skewers. I was so pleased and satisfied by them all. I as well ordered the pear house mocktail drink which was very delicious as well, i love how they keep the pear theme!! As well as a delicious and so cute complimentary birthday dessert which also included the pear theme (i believe). the service was amazing , such attentive, friendly and heart warming staff who made me feel very celebrated so shout out to them!! definitely such a great place to go to with friends, family to celebrate. thank you so much again for such an incredible night and unforgettable dining experience

Yelp
Great restaurant for Asian fusion cuisine, with welcoming and modern decor. We ordered the tuna poke, mushroom fried rice, kfc sliders and roti canai. The food tasted very fresh and was quite flavourful, with each dish having its own unique taste. However, one thing I did not appreciate was, when we asked for water, they brought us two bottles of natural and frizzy water (we did not specify that we wanted bottle water). Thinking the water would cost maybe $5, we didn't complain. However, when we received the bill, the water cost $15. I thought that was extremely unreasonable. I clarified with the waiter and he indicated that the price was in fact $15.

Yelp
Location/Service This place took over Lanna Cuisine on Birchmount/Enterprise intersection. It's not hard to miss - plenty of parking around the block/underground, just need to walk a little bit to the restaurant (typical downtown style). Interior is very nice. Large tables, very high ceilings and very spacious. There's a bar table if you're in for drinks and round tables for larger groups. I also like the use of lightning, usually bougie restaurants are always so dim for that ambience, but this one had pretty good lightning at each table. Staff were also very nice, provided good recommendations and explanation of menu items. Food Tried a few items. Drink - Butterfly Mule Mocktail - mimics a Gin & Tonic..like the colours and taste Apps: * Foie Gras Toast - one of my favourite - it had a wasabi aioli & unagi sauce that was a very good match * Lobster Wontons - bursting with lobster, very filling with a good shaoxing butter sauce * Pears Salad - this was also another surprisngly good, the mix of fruit and veggies together with blue cheese & honey lemon vinaigrette was a great match * Scallop Carpaccio - it looked pretty, it also had spicy tom yum broth, but overall didn't leave the biggest impression Main Char Siu Bone-In Beef Short Rib - portion was much bigger than I thought, it was very tender and juicy. Perfect to share cause it is quite filling Dessert Black Sesame & Tofu Baked Alaska - loved the distinctive separation of sesame and tofu ice cream, the flavours were so distinct and then adding the baked alaska was a cherry on top Overall, I really enjoyed Pears - it was one of the restaurants where I could say every dish was good. They're still on soft opening right now - so can't wait to see what's down the road.

Yelp
Our server Clara was super attentive (along with a young Caucasian bearded guy) and the resto was at max capacity. Clara checked her notes to ensure my date's allergens were not present, and went into the kitchen to clarify and see how to accommodate the dish. Love her! The vibe is definitely a date spot. A little higher end than Glass Kitchen, but still a very trendy spot! Food menu has good options, but I find GK to have more things I liked and more seafood based. This menu is more Asian influence (tom yum soup, mapo, etc). This place will have a brunch menu 2-3 weeks later, and their drinks menu isn't printed yet so Clara told us verbally. They sounded interesting; I just want to know prices before ordering so I didn't get any. I got the Manila clams fregola, he got the marrow and he got us both croquettes. Fregola: top notch, tasty, clams were a tiny. The pasta was a good consistency and that tomato broth was amazing! Marrow: came with fried mantao (4) and I was told it was "immaculate"! The texture looked great! Croquettes: possibly the tiniest croquettes I've ever seen in my life but the inside was extremely well done. Soft and viscous, the entire croquette crumbled on impact with my knife. The truffle notes stood out and the garlic aïoli elevated the potato taste. This was the most complementary taste combo I experienced here. Desserts have nuts in 2 of 3 of the options so that's something to consider. Loved it, would come back again!

Yelp
The service was top notch for being at 40% capacity. Our server was very accommodating. The interior was very nice, i really like the painting on the wall and the decor look unique. Definitely fusion vibes! We order 4 dishes and 2 desserts. Foie Gras Toast $28.00 Scallop Carpaccio $19.00 Lobster Mapo Tofu $58.00 Mala Mussel Noodles $24.00 Pear Tart $14.00 Baked Alaska $16.00 I'd say price point and what you get for the foie gras and lobster mapo tofu is not worth it, can skip it. Wasn't a big fan of the lobster mapo tofu, the sauce alone had mala essence but it was on the bland side. The review the rated the restaurant a 1 star said it's like lobster tail and tofu, is quite accurate granted I didn't ask how much of the lobster was going to be given with the dish. Just not worth it and the foie gras toast was two small pieces of bread with a thick slice of foie gras. The moment you take a bite it falls apart. Not worth it as mentioned can skip unless you really like lobster and foie gras. Pictures look bigger than it is. The Mala mussel noodles were quite good except I don't remember it having mala essence. I just remember enjoying the flavours of the dish. The scallop carpaccio is pretty standard but the sauce used was a bit unique and had a kick to it. My favourite was the pear tart, be warned it's very tart so if you don't like that punch don't do it! The baked Alaska flavour very unique. I liked it better than the one they have at glass kitchen.

Yelp
We had their "recommended" dishes bone marrow, lobster mapo tofu and scallop carpaccio and it was very disappointing. - Bone marrow: it had way too much fried garlic and not the bone marrow. The dish was called bone marrow and it seemed like the main dish was fried garlic with a hint of bone marrow. - Scallop carpaccio: it just tasted like scallop sashimi with tom yum soup flavour and the flavor doesnt blend well. Nothing really special that brought the flavor out - Lobster mapo tofu: again this is a main dish where the tofu overtook the lobster. I had 1 piece of lobster meat (which was just the lobster tail). They say they would give a full lobster but the lobster clamps and all the other parts of the lobster were missing. Very similar to the main dish of bone marrow, it's basically mapo tofu with a lobster tail. The dish name doesnt match the description of the plate. For a high end place, the blend of flavors just doesn't mix well and not filling at all. Spent over $100 but came out with an almost empty stomach. Service and atmosphere is good though but would not recommend anyone to come here for food.

Yelp
We had to wait a bit for being seated due to some of the tables just finishing up, but servers have encouraged us to sit at the bars in the meantime and start there, eventually offering to move everything once a table was avaliable, which was very accommodating! If you're looking around, there are plenty of places to take photos of, and to be perfect backgrounds to! The ambience provides aesthetic lighting along with nice floral around the restaurant. There's a really nice mani neko wall with a statue nearby that I was fascinated with. This place has an awesome vibe. Being seated, we got Clara, and she was very good in checking the menu and asking for clarifications in regards to my allergies. We had ample time to also select and choose what we wanted from their menus. Unfortunately, the drinks menu isn't completely finalized, but our server actually told us what they were offering. I went with the Bone marrow, my girl got the Manila Clam Fregulo, and we each got Croquettes. The bone marrow had a very rich and juicy taste, topped with the garlic on top and accompanied with deep fried baos on the side made for a delicious dinner. My girl said the Manila Clam Fregulo was tasty, the tomatos were very petit and nice, but the clams were quite tiny; understandably so since they're not in season right now. The croquettes were absolutely packed with flavour, I wish they gave more, but you're going to enjoy them as much as we did! Unfortunately the dessert menu has some peanut and nut traces in them, so if you have allergies they might not be the best (but give them a try if you don't have any allergies!) We'll be coming back! Looking forward to the Brunch menu!

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at Pears this weekend! The staff was incredibly attentive and polite, providing top-notch service. The food was absolutely delicious--each dish felt expertly crafted and worthy of Michelin-level recognition. Highly recommend this restaurant!
