We were so happy the hotel has a lift so mum, 87, didn’t need to walk up stairs. The view was excellent and beautiful. With the balcony we could look at the sea freely. Staff were bro efficient just we left the room they came to tidy up. They have us lots coffee packs 😊 a bit too much

Pebble Beach is a great option for Napier. We had a huge room on an upper floor with a balcony and an unobstructed view of the water. The location is terrific, about a 15 minute walk along the beautiful Marine Parade to downtown's cafes and restaurants. We especially loved Roam Cafe which is also on Marine Parade on the way into town.||There was a small kitchenette with supplies for our morning tea and coffee. There was also a stereo and DVD player, useful for rainy days. The AC worked well. We appreciated the guest laundry (there's only one washer and one dryer but we didn't have to wait long). The staff were very friendly and helpful.||Free parking in a large lot was a big bonus.||The room decor felt a bit dated but it was comfortable and very spacious. We also spent several nights at the Nautilus, another motel about a block away, and felt that the room was slightly nicer and the price quite a bit lower.

Worse place that we have ever stayed in.False advertising ,only showing rooms looking over the water which is what we thought that we were getting but instead taken around the back to a 2 bedroom unit which smelt damp and musty and the carpet was sopping from a leak above which had quite obviously been like that for awhile. We complained to the manager and were relocated 2 doors down to a equally disgusting room which had holes kicked in the walls, mould on the net curtains and dents all over the fridge. To my dismay the next day they put a young family into that first room. What a unhealthy enviroment for children. We have just come back from a fantastic holiday in the South Island and the accomodation was lovely at every place we stayed. The manager just spoke to me and said that she was sorry that it didn't live up to my expectations.Well my expectations of a property is that it should be clean and presented in a way that you would want to come back to and tell all of your friends about. The 2 nights for a 2 bedroom unit was $613.86 This place gets a zero rating from us.Jenny.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom house/ unit, there were 6 of us, and there was plenty of space for all. The beds were super comfy, and the rooms were tidy and clean. The staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

Nice room with a beautiful view of the bay. Was a little pricey but that may be a reflection of the Art Deco festival. Service staff wasn't the fastest/overly helpful, at times seeming disgruntled by our questions. There was a rather large hole in the drywall in our room and the toilet was mounted to the wall, not the floor, and that was a scary concept (felt I had to consciously hover to prevent breakage)

If you are booked here, and can't alter your booking, DO NOT HAVE ROOM 14. The air-conditioner does not work, and l doubt that they will do anything about it soon. Who knows what else is neglected? The room is pleasant and the view is lovely, as is Napier, but the air-con just would not work and we had a cold (first) night, of our two night stay. Reporting it to the manager first thing, we were assured of maintenance or another room, and a phone call update. Returning in the afternoon/no phone call and found nobody had done anything. Offered a lesser room down the road. Offered a fan heater which an hour later we had to prise from the receptionist. No refund would be given. You have been warned.

Old style motel, while clean, other than the pile of cigarette butts outside the staff toilet near our door, it needs updating. The bed is low and uncomfortable and the pillows are hard. The spa bath in the man bedroom is bizarre and very 1980’s.|Do not expect a sleep in - the traffic stream of cars and trucks is constant from before 7 am. We had a unit on the ground floor at the front.. My advice would be to stay somewhere other than Marine Parade. The potential to have an ocean view is not worth the noisy road.

Always a lovely place to stay, bit of maintenance required on our room this time it's getting in need of a bathroom ceiling repaint it's all peeling off. Toilet roll holder and towel rail kept falling off the wall which we mentioned to staff. They said the maintenance person was due to call around in the next few weeks
