Our Pecan Tree B+B stay was a wonderful inauguration into the world of B+B services. Every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations in ways too numerous to mention, but I'll list a few. The lovely Victorian era home was clean and tastefully decorated, in an ideal location for both quiet and access to local destinations. The owner/innkeepers' attention to details was terrific and truly service-oriented. Breakfast each day was a very pleasant occasion and dining experience with excellent, delicious menu selections fully prepared/served on site by the owners. Access to very helpful owner advice and assistance was always fast and quickly available whether face-to-face or a quick text away. We look forward to visiting the Inn in the future and highly recommend it to anyone seeking accommodations in Beaufort.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was charming and had beautiful and thoughtful touches. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious, fresh homemade and served with such care. The hosts, Stan & Christine went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back and we highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay. |Gerald & Kim Cooper

Pecan Tree is our favorite B&B in Beaufort. The hosts, Stan and Christine are attentive to details. Christine provided an exceptional breakfast. Stan is very warm, friendly and helpful in assuring we had information about town events and restaurant recommendations to have an enjoyable stay. Each guest room is beautiful and comfortable, with luxurious updated bathrooms. There are also several covered porches and a Koi pond with outdoor seating to relax. We highly recommend you plan a stay at the Pecan Tree Inn on your next trip to Beaufort, NC

Don’t know where to start. The room was amazing, very comfortable bed & pillows. My wife really liked the updated bathroom and I really enjoyed the breakfasts, Christine is an amazing chef. Also enjoyed talking with Stan the owner. They take great pride in the landscape and coy pond, beautiful and peaceful. We would not hesitate to stay there again.|Jan & Julia S

The common areas of the Pecan Tree Inn are lovely, especially the porches and the yard! Our room was very comfortable, with nice sitting areas, a desk, and updated bathroom. The breakfasts were a big and very pleasant surprise - freshly prepared and fit for foodies! The Inn keepers were friendly and helpful! The location is perfect, a short walk to Front Street, the water, and boardwalk. I'd highly recommend this inn!

The bedding was soft and dreamy. The room was spotless. Breakfast is delightful! Stan and Christine made it easy to enjoy the area by texting a helpful guide with links and advice for reservations. We especially enjoyed the porch rockers, koi pond, and the convenient location of the inn. Our favorite place to stay when we’re in Beaufort!

Google
Great location, comfortable bed and pillows, a/c works with room fan to cool room even on hottest evenings. Great restaurants just across the street. Easy walk to ferries and front street. Great value and hearty breakfast included. Yes, we would stay at this historic Inn again-which has been tastefully renovated.

Google
We stayed just one night but wish we had more. The rooms were bright, well appointed, and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms had been recently renovated and were spa like in their feel and appearance. The food was delicious. Stan and Christine did a fantastic job as hosts, providing information about things to do and good places to eat. We had breakfast with a couple who were staying there their third time and I can see why people come back. We would recommend this B+B with zero hesitation and hope to stay again in the future.

Yelp
This place and the hosts are incredible. It was recommended to me by a family member and we are so grateful for the tip! The food was outstanding. We ordered lunch ahead of time, when we made our reservation. It was packed in a cooler and ready for us to make our day trip with everything we needed! Do not miss the Maple Pecan cookies that are put out in the afternoons. And the breakfast was unbelievable. This is a place was such a treat! We'll be back, for sure. For dinner...don't miss Beaufort Grocery, right across the street!

Yelp
Great place to stay! We walked into a darling, clean, beautifully kept historic home. Very friendly. We felt welcomed from our check in to our check out. After a hot day on the beach, I was happy to arrive and smell something sweet baking! A cute sitting room was open with Keurig coffee, refreshing cucumber water, and before 7 pm it had "f***ing Amazing pecan cookies" (quoting my friend). Also dispensers of peanuts and skittles. We had the Beaufort room. I walked in and it was sooo clean!!! I never trust bedding. Anywhere. I can tell you 100% I trusted this place. For once I didn't unpack my own sheets hidden in my luggage. Lol. (The only con is the shower is tiny. Though it has a large jacuzzi bath). I was so happy to see they even had Gluten free breakfast options. I didn't know we could have (and should have) requested it while booking. However, I lucked out! We had fresh made gluten free granola, yogurt, poached eggs, country hash (diced up potatoes, bacon, sausage), scones, fresh fruit (blueberries and sliced grapefruit), OJ, teas/coffee, and a lot of other things (toast, spreads, Nutella, cereal options). They were so attentive to us to make sure we had everything we needed. And made us feel right at home. Also, the other guests were super kind and respectful too.

Yelp
We had the best stay here! The house is cute and very clean. The owners are very friendly and have put a lot of thought into the place. There are cute touches throughout the house! The breakfast is absolutely phenomenal with a new menu every day based on what's fresh and seasonal. This morning we had a great blueberry French toast with sausage. There is also fruit, cereal, granola, breads, and hard boiled eggs every morning.

Yelp
We had the most relaxing week of our lives at the Pecan Tree Inn. This is a charming, historical home with roughly eight guest rooms, located a half-block from the main street in Beaufort (perfect location). The best restaurants are all within walking distance. As good as these restaurants were, they could not compare to the Pecan Tree Inn's daily breakfast, home cooked by Christine. Each morning featured a different gourmet dish, ranging from blueberry pancakes to a chorizo egg casserole. We enjoyed breakfast and a cup of coffee each morning at a table on the front porch, which was lovely even in mid-October. The proprietors, Stan and Christine, were perfect hosts for more reasons than the five-star breakfasts. They were super friendly and available whenever needed, and they gave great recommendations for activities and restaurants in Beaufort. Our perfectly relaxing week was made possible by Stan and Christine's hospitality. And we cannot forget the love we received from sweet Bernie, their dog. We will definitely be back. For now, we have our Pecan Tree Inn mugs to remind us of the good times.

Jess D.

Yelp
They have a tesla destination charger, listed with tesla. Called and asked to use it mid day and was rudely told "no!" (There were 2 vehicles in the lot that houses about 10 at the time). It may be a great place to stay, but ill never know after the tone the individual took with me for asking a reasonable question.

Casie J.

Yelp
This place is great. It's so cute and homey. I love all the outdoor sitting areas. Breakfast was delicious and homemade daily. Great location within one block walking distance to the main square. Parking lot which is hard to come by. Just great overall

Yelp
On a whim, we decided to stay in Beaufort and called last minute to check availability for last night. Christine was very pleasant and was able to accommodate our last minute arrival. There were homemade maple pecan cookies and cucumber water awaiting us! Stan gave us a great tour of this historic homestead and the room was IMMACULATE. The attention to detail was incredible; there was free WiFi, a mounted flatscreen TV, diffuser, sound machine, mints on the bedside table and even a Pecan Tree Inn booklet with accommodation information and dining suggestions! The bed was super comfortable and it was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast is out of this world. Christine and Stan must be Michelin chefs! There was broccoli and cheddar strata, fresh poppyseed muffins, perfectly prepared bacon, fresh coffee, etc. Will definitely return!

Yelp
Judy and I have been married for 35 years. We have been over seas and in all over the USA. I will say this was the most relaxing, enjoyable and pleasant stay over ll of the other places. We loved the room, the food! and the atmosphere. Even during a pandemic. I can't thank the owners Stan and Christine enough for such a warm and friendly welcome. We ate Pecan Pie and Ice Cream from the "Grocery Company" across the street for desert in their garden area. How relaxing that was!! 5 Stars Plus for the Pecan Tree.

Curt N.

Yelp
Fantastic place to stay. Christina and Stan were very helpful and friendly. Very clean. Upgraded bathrooms. Breakfast was very good. The only drawback was the limited restaurant options in town. Highly recommended.

Cristy T.

Yelp
Pecan Tree Inn is a perfect Beaufort destination! It is so convenient to all of the Beaufort activities, restaurants and water front (short walking distance). The breakfast is delicious and the innkeepers are very nice and attentive. The rooms are clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you need for a relaxing home away from home. You will not be disappointed here! Free parking, fee wifi, refrigerator for guest use, beach towels, beach chairs, bikes. We definitely plan to return to this inn in the future. And don't forget to grab some of the pecan cookies in the afternoon - they are AMAZING!

Lorraine A.

Yelp
The perfect place . We felt so comfortable there the rooms were lovely. Breakfast was so delicious not one but every morning of our stay . The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and historical sites. We will visit again in warmer weather!!!! And thank you to the staff who fixed my husbands reading glasses !

William B.

Yelp
This 2 level victorian home, in the heart of Beaufort was a perfect place for our long weekend visit. The Innkeeper were both wonderful to work with. The house has several beautifully decorated common rooms and porches that can be used for conversation and a glass of wine. The bedroom we had was large with a very comfortable king bed. The town center with shops and restaurants are walking distance. We enjoyed the fact we could walk to several great restaurants and a local "dive" bar.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Excellent inn and nice hosts. Beautiful historic home with well appointed bedrooms. We stayed in the Blue Room and really enjoyed it. Wonderful porches with rockers plus outdoor seating areas overlook lovely yard, garden and koi pond. Perfect location near waterfront dock with off street parking. Breakfast was outstanding with poached eggs, cowboy potato hash, fresh berries, fresh strawberry scones and other options. Awesome pecan cookies. Bikes and beach supplies available. Loved it.

Rebekah L.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the Pecan Tree Inn! Our room was so pretty and comfortable. Stan and Christine were such gracious hosts. The breakfasts were delicious and the gluten free options were thoughtful and yummy. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope we can come back again sometime

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at the PTI. It's nicely appointed and decorated, kept spotless and very well run. Stan & Christine are helpful and accommodating, they're proactive in ensuring you're happy - what more could you ask? The sheets and towels are first rate. Breakfast is wonderful. It's less than a block to the Beaufort boardwalk and Front Street. The best upscale restaurant around is literally across the street. There's no better place to explore the Crystal Coast from. Very nice!

Roger C.

Yelp
This is a quiet and very well kept historic inn in the heart of Beaufort with extremely attentive innkeepers. The breakfast is fantastic and if in the area I highly recommend you put this place on your list of places to stay!

Kaitlin B.

Yelp
I called yesterday, 4/8, to make a reservation for what I thought I communicated to be Wednesday, 4/17. I realized today when I checked my email the inn keeper (or woman who handles reservations) has booked us for tomorrow 4/10. Not a big deal.. obviously a communication issue on someone's part (possibly mine). I called to let them know we couldn't make it tomorrow & would love to switch to 4/17. Instead of being hospitable & kind.. I was argued with for 5 minutes about it being my fault & not what I had originally said. My goal in calling was to reschedule but I was so turned off by her rude, inhospitable demeanor, I truly couldn't imagine staying at a B&B hosted by this person. I had to ask her several times if they even had another room.. because she seemed more interested in making her point than helping me to find a new room (which she later said they DID have available). I have never encountered such inhospitable behavior in the service industry.

Bruce L.

Yelp
One block off Front Street, this is a charming and comfortable inn with attentive hosts, excellent breakfasts, and impeccable service. Everything in Beaufort along the waterfront is within easy walking distance. I felt at home as soon as Stan greeted us and Christine's cooking is to die for. The room was beautiful, the rates reasonable, and the afternoon cookies are not to be missed. You owe it to yourself to put this place on your bucket list.

D C.

Yelp
Just perfect. Can't wait to go back. NOTE: Pecan Cookies should come with warning label from the CDC. They are absolutely addictive. Wow....

Katie W.

Yelp
What an Incredible place! My husband and I stayed there for Labor Day weekend and my birthday, and will definitely be back! Super comfy beds, delicious breakfast, very lovely home. Perfect location, easy to walk everywhere. Highly recommend!

Ethan R.

Yelp
My wife and I just spent two nights at the lovely Pecan Tree Inn. From the moment we were greeted we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife gushed over the decorations...I was impressed by the incredible breakfasts. The spacious room (with jacuzzi) was immaculate, with a very comfortable bed and fast WiFi. It's just a minute's walk from the historic riverfront, and we loved the restaurants recommended by the innkeeper--one just across the street and the other an easy stroll down the river. If you like the full B&B experience with great food and friendly hosts, you can't go wrong here.

Barbara W.

Yelp
We stayed at the Pecan Tree Inn on our way home from the Outer Banks. The home is a heritage home but the owners have been working for three years to make it comfortable on the inside while keeping the Beaufort heritage look on the outside. There is outside seating by a koi pond and bird feeders for relaxing with a glass of wine in the afternoon. There is also plenty of seating on the covered front porch for reading or simply rocking in the chairs on a warm summer morning. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of variety and choices to choose from each morning: eggs, potatoes, granola, yogurt, juice, toast, and of course coffee and tea. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Yelp
My fiancé and I chose Pecan Tree Inn as the accommodations for our elopement & wedding-moon mid-September 2015 after 17 years together. From our arrival to departure we were pleasantly surprised & thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pecan Tree Inn. Champagne was chilled & waiting for us in our room, the Beaufort Suite, when we arrived. Our suite was richly appointed with quality furnishings, window treatments & luxurious bedding - we slept very well & comfortably. The only two negatives were when we utilized the jacuzzi tub our first night, we ran out of hot water & the shower was extremely small & cramped for myself & impossible for my 6'2" 280 pound husband to comfortably shower. Every morning breakfast was beautifully presented in the dining room at 9am. We were treated to a variety of homemade scones & quiche (both delicious!) made fresh daily by the owners in addition to home fried potatoes, toast, fruit, juice and/or coffee, etc. The other inn guests were interesting & friendly. Two couples vacationing together gifted us a bottle of champagne at breakfast on the morning of our wedding. The day was made more special when everyone shared their meeting & love stories with us over breakfast. Late morning the day after our intimate wedding on Shackleford Banks, we changed rooms & moved into the Queen Anne Suite. Oir change of rooms was arranged when we made the reservation because I couldn't decide which suite I preferred so we chose to stay 3 nights in the Beaufort Suite & 2 nights in the Queen Anne Suite. The Queen Anne Suite is equally well & luxuriously appointed while a little larger & more private; located at the back of the house with it's own entrance & porch overlooking the courtyard. Unfortunately, the shower is as small as the one in the Beaufort Suite. Staying at Pecan Tree Inn, we were only a short walk to the waterfront where we ate, shopped & enjoyed the sights of Beaufort. There are two restaurants across the street from the inn, the Blue Moon Bistro & Beaufort Grocery. We ate at both & they were very good with attentive customer service. Do plan ahead & make reservations though! Our stay in Beaufort at Pecan Tree Inn was exactly the experience we wanted for our elopement, wedding & honeymoon - intimate, beautiful & perfect. We plan to return for our anniversary annually.

Yelp
My mother and I were in town for the Pirate Invasion and stayed in Rachel's Room for two nights. We met Dave upon our arrival and he gave us a tour of the inn. The room itself was very small (probably the smallest one at the inn) but it served its purpose, The bed was extremely comfortable. We met Sherry, the resident inn keeper, and she was always delightful. A continental-style breakfast was served every morning, consisting of coffee, homemade baked pastries, yogurts, cereals, and fruit. The pastries were delicious! It was nice sitting outside on the patio in the morning with our breakfast and coffee and chatting with the other guests. The inn is in a great location--one block away from the water and the main strip. We didn't use our car once during our stay (parking available-one space per room). It was relatively quiet as well. Other guests were considerate, despite most of the guests that weekend consisting of rowdy pirates. Our room faced the street, so we sometimes got a little noise from the restaurant across the street at night, but nothing too bad. If we return for the invasion again next year--or just return any other time--we will definitely stay here again :)

Glen W.

Yelp
Real nice place! $100 for a nice room with a queen bed. Great service that's not in your face. The inn keeper Dave is there if you need him but not over burdening. Clean, close to the shops and beach with great parking. We drove 4 hrs from Norfolk and it was well worth it!

Stacey C.

Yelp
We decided to stay here based on other great reviews and it surely didn't disappoint. The house is beautiful!! The food was AMAZING and Stan was very friendly. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our visit immensely. If you are looking for a cozy, CLEAN place in a great location, at a great price, owned by great people, this is the place!

Bob B.

Yelp
Already our favorite B&B in Beaufort, the new owners have made subtle changes for the better. The dining area is now the larger room and a hot breakfast has been added. Location can't be beat as it is a block off Front St. so quiet (except if a band playing at Back Street). Congrats to the new owners. We will be back soon.

Derek S.

Yelp
Wow. I stayed here a very long time ago (probably around February 2001) with my girlfriend at the time. I was looking for a romantic getaway on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend I hadn't seen in several weeks... from what I remember it was amazing. A few blocks up from the harbor and we had one of the rooms on the 2nd floor which was very spacious as well as cozy. Yelp wasn't around at this time so I wasn't so I had no way of documenting my feelings of the place at the time. I love being near the water and I love a calm, serene setting. This was both. I hope in the near future I can make my way back here again. It was also a bonus having a delicious fudge shoppe by the harbor that I can't recollect ofcourse... but I'd sniff it out if I ever made it back! Thank you Pecantree Inn.... you were fantastic!

Priscilla G.

Yelp
Sparkling clean rooms, thick towels, delicious breakfasts, staff who wait on you hand and foot, coolers/beach towels/ice/advice. Lovely common areas inside and outside, comfy beds and homey furnishings. We hope to return in the near future!

Steve M.

Yelp
My wife and I were engaged in Beaufort and stayed at the Pecan Tree Inn for our honeymoon in 2012. In 2013 my sister gave us a gift certificate for a one night stay as a Christmas present. On the gift certificate it notes the expiration date as 2/3/18. My wife just called to make a reservation and was told that the Inn was under new ownership and that they will not honor the gift certificate. The person she spoke with was incredibly rude and even implied that she was *making up* the gift certificate. We love Beaufort but will not be returning to Pecan Tree Inn.

Lora F.

Yelp
Our favorite bed and breakfast in Beaufort. Awesome owners. The rooms are perfect. I look forward to the afternoon cookies each time we come. Breakfast is always very tasty. Owners are very accommodating and friendly. Looking forward to our next get away here.

Rachel D.

Yelp
We have been to Pecan Tree about four times in the past two years. It feels like home away from home for us. We moved to North Carolina about two years ago and fell in love with Beaufort, NC - the wild ponies, the quaint downtown, and the small restaurants. We always stay at Pecan Tree because the rooms are extremely comfortable and the breakfast is excellent-- Dave brews great coffee and makes a mean scone. There is always fresh fruit available for breakfast as well. You really need to check this place out.

Joe S.

Yelp
Great place to spend a few days in Beaufort. The Inn has new owners and they are a friendly couple Reasonable rates too

Keri H.

Yelp
What a great place to stay! The owner was fabulous.....very accommodating to my friend who had gluten allergies. He made wonderful breakfasts with amazing, locally roasted coffee. The location was very convenient to all the wonderful places in Beaufort and secure/safe with an easy stroll plus bikes we readily available for use. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and was right off the outdoor porch with rocking chairs. Highly recommend this wonderful, hospitable location.

Bob F.

Yelp
We've stayed here four times now, and plan on many more visits. Comfort, quiet, and North Carolina hospitality. The Inn has all the amenities that one would need for a relaxing stay. While Beaufort itself is a jewel to be discovered, the Pecan Tree Inn is the hidden diamond. Within walking distance of all the main areas of Beaufort, and a short drive to the ferry to Cape Lookout, you can enjoy a leisurely pace associated with life in a small coastal town. Fresh baked goods for breakfast, and great conversations with the others who have found this treasure. The owner, Dave, meets every request. He even let us stack our kayaks in the yard on one visit. If you are thinking of spending time relaxing and watching yachts and sailing ships, or exploring where the wild horses run, try the Pecan Tree Inn.
