"From its easy online booking process to its carefully plotted routes, this bike tour company is all pro, without sacrificing the laid back, keep-Portland-weird vibe the city is so proud of. Routes, all designated as beginner-level and spanning roughly three hours and around ten miles, are gentle and perfectly-paced and guides are conscious of each rider’s skill level, so whether you’re a bit wobbly on your wheels or a retired Tour de France rider, you're in for a good time. Guides are clearly hired for their people skills as well as their easy-flowing knowledge of the Rose City, so the overall vibe is that of taking an informal city tour with a fun and confident friend who knows just about everything; the best breweries, restaurants, coffeehouses and landmarks both famous and little known. "What’s the big picture here? From its easy online booking process to its carefully plotted routes, this bike tour company is all pro, without sacrificing the laid back, keep-Portland-weird vibe the city is so proud of. You’ll meet your guide and fellow riders at Pedal’s Oldtown office, set in a grand brick-walled historic building (you can street park, but if you don’t want to worry about plugging your virtual Parking Kitty meter if you run over, opt for the SmartPark lot at SW 3rd and Alder). Bikes are in great shape, although if you're particular you can bring your own, and everything’s included with the tour—helmets, locks, lights, pant leg straps, even raincoats if the famously fickle weather is proving temperamental. How tough are these rides? Company founder and native Oregonian Todd Roll (yes, that’s really his name)—an avid rider who fell in love with biking as a means of sightseeing while living in Europe, and authored Pedal Portland: 25 Easy Rides To Explore The City—promises that “no spandex is required” on the tours. Routes, all designated as beginner-level and spanning roughly three hours and around ten miles, are gentle and perfectly-paced and guides are conscious of each rider’s skill level, so whether you’re a bit wobbly on your wheels or a retired Tour de France rider, you're in for a good time. Street clothes are perfectly suitable attire, although of course, if you really want to, you can wear your spandex. How are the guides? Guides are clearly hired for their people skills as well as their easy-flowing knowledge of the Rose City, so the overall vibe is that of taking an informal city tour with a fun and confident friend who knows just about everything; the best breweries , restaurants , coffeehouses and landmarks both famous and little known. They even how to cut the omnipresent line at Voodoo Doughnut. If you think your guide is the bees knees and want to keep riding after the tour’s over, an extension is usually possible for a fee. As always, show your appreciation for their expertise, advice, and jokes (good or bad) with a generous tip. Anything you’ll be remembering weeks or months or years from now? If you are one of the stoic (or absurd, opinions are deeply divided on this subject) souls who’ve waited an hour in the seemingly endless Voodoo Doughnut line at its pink-fenced peak, you will never ever forget cutting to the front with your bike guide, and having the shop’s chocolate-frosted, raspberry jelly-filled, pretzel-stick-impaled namesake in your hands minutes later. So: money, time—how can we make the most of both? When you factor in Portland’s extremely bike-friendly geography and infrastructure—i.e., the nearly 400 miles of bikeways, 6500 public bike racks, and ever-expanding Nike Biketown bike share program—a two-wheeled tour is the most bang for your Portland sightseeing buck, especially if you want to cover a lot of ground in limited time, and explore nooks and crannies not accessible by car. If you don’t have a lot of time in town, book the Intro to Portland tour, a reasonably-priced and thorough downtown overview that cuts through all the major neighborhoods and rolls past the Willamette River. If bikes and beers are your idea of soul mates, take the Brewery Trail tour, which include three sipping stops and a brewery tour, plus plenty of post-tour beer crawl recs. And if, like Homer Simpson, your motto is “Mmm, donuts," don’t miss the Donuts of Portland tour—a relaxed ramble around downtown that includes four delicious donut breaks." - Jen Stevenson

Yelp
Had the intro to downtown Portland bike tour during our short visit to the west coast and it was the best decision we could've made. Jamie was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and friendly and kept the atmosphere fun as he took us from historical Portland to modern day. Definitely a great activity to get to know PDX better! Highly recommend it!

Yelp
Great bike tour. Highly recommended. John was a great guide. Every City my wife and I travel to, we always take a bike tour. This was one of the best. John was knowledgeable about the Portland and gave us some great food & bar suggestions. Thanks John!

Yelp
We had a wonderful 3 hour tour with the owner himself. The tidbits of information and frequent stops were perfect, we saw a side of Portland we would never normally see and enjoyed all the neighborhoods we got to see. I am 40 and took my 11 year old twins, the pace was perfect for us. My kids mentioned several times that this was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for all the restaurant suggestions as well!!

Yelp
For my birthday, we spent 4 days in Portland. My spouse and I love biking so we figured why not do all 4 bike trips offered by Pedal Bike tours. We had sooooo much fun. The tours led by Grey (x2), Gannon, and Scotland were so much fun. If you are looking to have some adventure each day, I cannot recommend Pedal Bike Tours enough. Here is my quick summary of each tour: Day 1: Intro Tour -- Our tour guide Grey took us all over the city and we learned so much about the racial, economic, and visioning of this city. From a memorial remembering those who were sent to internment camps, to the tree cover and parks that fill America's most bike-able city we learned a ton and had so much fun. It is so weird to be in a city where bikers have real space to safely be on the road. Day 2: Brewery Bike Tour -- Our second of four bike tours, we made friends with some nice folks from Oklahoma, Georgia, and Vancouver. It's not too hard to make friends with folks on a tour such as this one. Cheers to Lucky Labrador Brewing Co, this may be the first time my spouse has ever liked an IPA. Cheers to Von Ebert Brewing for your tasty dark beers. And cheers to our final brewery stop, McMenamins Ringlers Pub I loved your dark beers as well. It was a very fun day with very kind people. Thanks for a second tour, Grey! Day 3: We took Pedal Bike Tours'Columbia River Gorge Tour. We jumped into a van and drove to scenic vistas of the Columbia Gorge with our tour guide, Gannon. Then we rode 6 miles by bike, hiked, and visited waterfalls amid ferns, trees & cool mists. It was beautiful. Day 4: Today was our final tour, the donut bike tour. You heard right, we enjoyed NOLA Donuts, Blue Star Donuts, Coco Donuts, and the very famous VooDoo Donuts. The Donuts were sweet and tasty we earned them by biking across town. J/k the bike ride was very low key and very fun. Thank you, Scotland and the entire PBT team for leading us on this tour.

Yelp
Our group had a great experience! We did their doughnut tour and had a lot of fun! Our guide/owner took us on the scenic tour so we got to see a lot of the city and he gave us great history facts! Some of our group ended up renting bikes for the rest of the day! Definitely would recommend 5/5!

Yelp
Great tour with a great guide, John! Received lots of information about where to go in Portland for activities and food. Stopped at three places that would go back too. Plenty of beer to fill satisfied but not out of control.

Sonja W.

Yelp
This tour was awesome! Scotland was a great tour guide. We biked through all of downtown, learned about the history of the city, and got chickpea ice cream halfway through! I would definitely recommend this tour.

Yelp
We signed up for the Beer Tour and it was great! Paid $69 per person and it was ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! We got a ride around the city and stopped at 3 breweries. Our Tour guide was amazing... Daniel was our tour guide...DAN THE MAN! The tour lends itself to a fun time and to meet new people. After the first stop, we started to loosen up and just talk about life... Portland and new sights. Check In: signed up through trip advisor. Check in was super easy, asked our name and signed a waiver. Then they got us fitted for helmets and a bike(quick and easy) Tour: Dan the Man Took un on a waterfront tour and introduced a bit of the city to us. Throughout the tour he gave us some historical references to early Portland and gave us a behind the scenes look at a brewery. He also made great suggestions of local stops for a longer stay. Took us down the waterfront then we went to 3 breweries. 1) Lucky Lab (dog friendly) got to pick 3 different tasters per person. 2)Breakside Brewery( flight of 6 to share with a partner) and 3)McMenamis Crystal Ball (4 half pitchers to share with the group).

Yelp
Kieran and Caroline were awesome tour guides. They were well informed tour guides. I would definitely recommend taking a tour with them.

Yelp
Honestly, I was really hesitant to do this tour. Not because I hate nature or anything. I'm just out of shape LOL. I'm glad I did it though. This was one of the highlights on my Portland trip. I'm not the active type, but the satisfaction of being able to finish this makes you feel so good. Sarah was our tour guide, and she was awesome. She knew her stuff and was very and I mean VERY patient with my group on the tour. We did the Columbia George Tour ($99, $89 after triple A discount) and it comes with a water bottle. If you are thinking whether or not this tour is worth it. IT IS. It's something you should do once in your life. I mean, when are you ever going to ride a bike in the pouring rain to see beautiful waterfalls and Mother Nature? If you are worried about not being able to do this. You can! Just take your time, I took my time and was able to finish it in the end. Plus at some points if you are not able to do it, there is no shame in walking or asking your tour guide to pick you up. Overall, it was a hard ride for myself, but it was totally worth it.

Yelp
Gorgeous views of Portland falls and Colombia river gorge. Great views from the bike trail! Would definitely recommend Ana and the tour to everyone visiting Portland! Thank you to our tour guide Ana!

Yelp
Dan was super-sweet and knew a ton of knowledge about Portland history and the various neighborhoods. We made a stop at Blue Star Donuts (passion fruit donut, and rose 24K donut - yum!), the Cacao chocolate spot, and he was even down to stop by Heart roasters so I could pick up some fresh-roasted beans for friends! Thanks, guys! :)

Yelp
Daniel and Karyin did a damn good job on my bike tour. Since this is the first time in Portland, it gave me a good perspective on how local people act. When I arrived in the morning, they were pretty nice and laid-back. I felt comfortable even though I went solo and they sorta became my buddies by the end of the tour. They were knowledgeable about the area and did not feel like they were "rushing" the tour. I liked the snacks and the bikes they provided. I just wish I could have done the other tours with them.

Jeny A.

Yelp
Booked this last minute trip to the river gourge bike tour with my husband and two kids. Although some routes were closed off we still had a amazing time!! Daniel was such an amazing tour guide!!! We first meet up with them at the shop. They made sure all the bikes were up and running and fit to our heights then about an hour ride to the bike route and then back down After the bike ride Daniel took us to the multnomah falls! I am so satisfied and very happy we did this tour!! Thank you very much Daniel!!! You're awesome!!!!!

Yelp
Hoping to make the most of my week I'm Portland, I signed up for a bike tour of downtown with Pedal Bike Tours. It is one of the best decisions I've made while traveling. Signing up for a ride is a breeze: just go to their site, choose a date and one of the two daily ride times, and congratulate yourself for an amazing choice. The staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable about Portland's history, culture, and attractions. Some of the restaurant recommendations they made literally upgraded my day (Blue Star Donuts= happiness). My tour guide, Daniel, was well informed about the various neighborhoods that we passed through. His passion for Portland and for bicycling shone through and was infectious (in a good way...I promise). He was more than willing to answer any questions or to stop for photos. Riding with him was a pleasure. In closing, if you're ever in Portland and would like a crash course in how to Portland while traveling like a native with cool people, Pedal Bike Tours is a must.

Yelp
This bike tour and Washington Park were the highlights of my recent trip to Portland! Jamie was our tour guide and really exemplifies the kind and laid back nature of the city. We did the Gorge tour, where we got to see some beautiful waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge. It felt like the right balance of driving, bike riding, and hiking to see the sights. Here's how it went for $100: Two tours are available for the Gorge tour throughout the day--one at 9AM and the other at 1PM. The 9AM tour was sold out, so we booked for the later one instead. We had a total of seven people in our group, including Jamie. We arrived, signed a waiver, put on sunblock for the 100 degree weather (they have a stash of sunblock for customers!), got helmets, and then fitted with bikes. This took no more than 15 minutes and we were on our way. It started with a one-ish hour drive to Vista Point, where we got a beautiful view of the Gorge and Jamie dropped us off to begin the bike ride. We rode almost completely downhill to four other stops. The bike ride was a breeze! Though we had some cars pass us on the road, it felt mostly safe and pleasant to ride under the canopy of trees. The stops include four waterfalls, including Multnomah. Multnomah Falls is beautiful, but incredibly busy and the parking lot can get jammed. Soft serve ice cream and free tastings of fudge are a huge draw here, especially in the 90-100 degree weather. The other three waterfalls were what really made this package worth it. Latourell Falls was particularly stunning. There's a short hike to all the falls, except for Shepperd's Dell. Be prepared with some athletic shoes. Don't make the mistake I made by wearing espadrilles (though I did get around OK). We returned to home base by 6PM, tired from the heat, but stomachs full of granola bar and water that Pedal Bike Tours brought along for us. Thanks to Jamie for leading us on a safe and informative tour! Highly recommend the Gorge tour to get out of Portland and into some beautiful nature.

Colleen H.

Yelp
Soooooo much fun on this bike/hike adventure today! A big thank you to Scotland for making this a trip we won't soon forget! #scotlandrules #bikehikefun #outdoorsforlife

Yelp
We took the doughnut biking tour. It was great. Todd told us all the great things about Portland. We had some great doughnuts. It was perfect for my teenage son who is in great shape, and the less in shape members of our group. Todd accommodated us all. I can't recommend this enough.

Travis R.

Yelp
My wife and I came to Portland for our honeymoon, and this was one of our favourite things we did! Daniel took us on a 10 mile tour (neither of us had been on a bike in decades, and it was still a very doable distance), and he was not only super knowledgeable about the city's history and food scene, but simply an awesome guy! Our first food cart stop was Cartopia and we had some amazing Neapolitan-style pizza and Thai-peanut French fries. We also hit an ice cream place and another food cart pod (by then we were stuffed)...all the while having Daniel leading the way. By the time it was over, My butt was very glad to be off the bike, but we would have done another tour if we would have had more time...thanks so much for an amazingly-Portland experience!

Yelp

Yelp
Tour Booked: Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour Tour Guide/Driver: Bruce Me and my wife recently moved to Hillsboro and this was our first Hiking trip around Portland area, absolutely great start with Pedal Bike Tours. We arrived at the shop by 8:30 am which was bit early as they open around 8:45 am, grabbed coffee next block and shop was open by the time we came back. Walked into the store, were greeted with smile by two friendly staff and was asked to read and sign the waiver form. One of them was a pregnant lady (Anna I think) who introduced herself to us, gave us helmet and assigned each of us a bike after adjusting the seats height, she was absolutely friendly and courteous. There were total of 10 people who booked and 2 tour guides but space in the van was only for 11 people so one of the tour guide (think it was Anna) who dropped because "Customers" come first so she gave up her seat to other tour guide (Bruce) to accommodate all 10 customers, it's very unusual to see that kind of above and beyond customer service. Drive from Pedal store to the first point was about 45 minutes which was beautiful once we got off the freeway, Bruce was very knowledgeable and gave brief history of Portland and spots around the area. Spots visited: 1) View Point: About 20 mins stop and great views of Columbia river, biked from this spot to Vista point (less than 10 mins bike ride for 2 miles down hill). This was my first ever bike ride after 22 years so it was bit pain in my bum:) but totally worth that ride in the fresh and cool breeze. 2) Vista Point: This is historic spot right on the edge of the mountain, build way back in 1938 I believe, absolutely stunning views from top, perfect picture spot, cafe/restrooms downstairs, viewing place from upstairs. We took another 5 mile down hill bike ride from here to Latourell Falls (Guy W. Talbot state park). 3) Latourell Falls (Guy W. Talbot state park): Great spot for hike uphill and beautiful water falls. Bruce gave us good information about the area, falls, took a quick restroom break with snacks before hike. While he watched the bikes, we took the hike, total hike is 1.8 miles (0.8 miles up hill and 0.8 miles down hill). It's a good hike for beginners yet edge and slippery spots along the way, nice views, thick forest and you will come across lot of people with toddlers, kids and dogs as well. People hike at their own pace and no one rushing from behind. 4) Sheppard's Dell state Natural area: Biked from Talbot state park to this spot, quick stop and views. 5) Bridal Veil Falls Viewpoint: Bike ride from Sheppard's dell area to here, another quick stop, nice views to the Columbia river, unique thing about this town is just a post office that exists now. 6) Last Stop: Multnomah Falls: Absolutely beautiful and gorgeous spot next to freeway. We parked and walked under the bridge to reach the falls area, total height of falls is 629 ft, 4th largest falls in USA and always has water flowing year long. Overall this trip was totally worth every penny, Bruce was great tour guide, very experienced driver as well, very calm, friendly and knowledgeable person. Based on some reviews of this tour, I believe every tour guide is different, some will mostly drive you while others will let you bike from one spot to another like we did. Most of us were at the same pace for bike ride but even in the case when some were behind, rest of the people were very patient and friendly which always helps. I highly recommend anyone visiting Portland to take this trip. Take the morning tour schedule at 9 am which will help to cut through the traffic, less tourists at the above spots, nice sunlight for viewing and hikes as well. Tip is not necessary but after taking the tour, you will feel like tipping the tour guide.

Desiree S.

Yelp
"It's just like riding a bike". Is that what you tell yourself when it's a bike you haven't ridden in 15 years? Yes, yes it is. Ready, set, crotch mount! Jeeez, I'm such a perv. Anyway! I took the Historic Downtown tour today with my sister and two other ladies and it was awesome sauce. Our tour guide was Gannon and I'm super glad he was our fearless cycling leader today because he was very informative, relaxed, funny, and just all around adorable! I had to keep reminding myself not to fall off my bike and eat shit in front of him. Not recommended in front of a super cutie. Don't fall off your bike, just don't do it. The tour took us through the downtown area and along the river and over some bridges and through the woods. Actually, the woods never happened, but this was my first time in Portland and everything seems like it was in the woods compared to Satan's dry armpit, aka Las Vegas, NV *gag*. The ride was fairly easy with some minor hills that were a doable challenge(though my non bike riding thighs were talking to me during the ascents). It was fairly cold(which makes for red noses and popsicle fingers for unprepared people like me), and Gannon modified the tour a bit to get us out of the cold and rain and into some super awesome doughnut and hot chocolate action. Overall, a great experience from beginning to end. Totally worth the $. I hope to return to Portland soon and take another tour. "Put the fun between your legs" is what the t-shirt I bought here says and I certainly intend to again. If you're in Portland, check this company out for sure.

Kathryn S.

Yelp
I expected a little more out of this tour honestly, but it was OK. Our guide was Taryn. She was super friendly but could work on the delivery of information. There are a lot of stops to learn about different places throughout the city so I would recommend this to any bike rider. There were only 2 small hills during the tour, which was great (try biking San Francisco). The bikes were nice and very easy to ride for everyone. I would've liked to go down more city streets so we could see what was there. At one point 2 people in our group were left...

Allen B.

Yelp
Great beer and bike tour with Mason yesterday. Enthusiastic guide, dandy beers, hand selected at each stop. What a great way to check out some local favorites (not just the national brands). Thank you Pedal Bike Tours.

Ahana D.

Yelp
Had the best time on the brewery tour!! Kirean was an incredible guide!! He had amazing fun facts, knew the ins and outs of the roads and of course great taste in beer!! :) would definitely recommend to people visiting Portland! It was a beautiful 4-ish hour tour that was incredibly fun! Met so many new people from different parts of the world, drank so much beer and saw the beautiful streets of beautiful Portland :)

Ekong I.

Yelp
My husband and I came across this company while visiting Portland, and we were able to get on their noon tour to the Columbia River pretty last minute. Lucky for us, we scored on a beautiful day with an awesome tour guide named Daniel. He was super knowledgeable about the history or Portland a lots of stories about the various falls. He's also a great photographer willing and able to capture your moments for you. The bonus is that he also gives lots of shopping and dining recommendations too. Book a tour with Daniel, you'll have lots of fun

Beto P.

Yelp
it was such an amazing experience!! Jaime is the best! I totally recommend it!! since we took off from the shop, he gave us soo many recommendations from restaurant, bars and things to do

Ruby S.

Yelp
Daniel was great! Has a passion for Portland and all things Portland! Also enjoys the great outdoors! Whether you choose the falls or donut tour, both are fun, especially with Daniel! Highly recommended!

Riann D.

Yelp
We were looking for a fun way to see the city while we were in town and decided to sign up for the Donut bike tour. Our guide Ana was amazing and insightful! We made stops at Nola Doughnuts, Blue Star Donuts, Coco Donuts, and the infamous Voodoo Doughnuts. We were able to skip the line and try the yummiest doughnuts ever! Ana pointed out the unique parts of the city as we rode through the streets and recommended places for us to go while we're in town. I'd love to try the other bike tours next time we're back in town!

Sara E.

Yelp
This is a great way to see the city quickly and with an expert guide! In just a few short hours we rode through 4 quadrants of the city, over 2 bridges and saw many awesome sites. Our guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Don't worry about difficulty... this is easy riding on mostly flat roads and trails. If you're new to the city of visiting, check it out. P.S. we did this during COVID. The shop wore masks and practiced social distancing. Big thumbs up!

Emily W.

Yelp
we took the van-only waterfall tour with Daniel, and it was amazing! we saw 6 waterfalls in about 4hrs, the first of which (I can't remember the name) was Daniel's favorite and was indeed the best because you could walk right up to it! Although the weather was a bit harsh (between 30-40 degrees, snow on the ground, and actively sprinkling), it didn't matter. The winter aura made things very beautiful and scenic. Plus, I think the weather scared away most other people so most of the waterfalls we had entirely to ourselves in total privacy. Daniel was a cautious driver, gave us great history lessons throughout the tour, and was overall very sweet and cheerful, without ever being "too much." Afterwards, he gave us and the other people on the tour lots of local recommendations on where to go and what to eat. He referred us to Lardo for lunch (which we made our 2nd lunch, believe it or not) and it was amazing too! I'd definitely recommend this shop, tour, and of course Daniel in particular to anyone visiting the area. There's no way you'd make your way to all these sites in the time that we did.

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Daniel rocks! This bike tour was a great way to see Portland breweries and get a nice little taste of biking in the city. We stopped at 3 different breweries and got to taste over 25 beers. We also got some historical highlights and a great little hidden behind the scenes peak at the ballroom at McMenamins. Highly recommended!!

Allison M.

Yelp
Amazing tour of Portland! Rode across bridges, alongside the water, in neighborhoods, downtown, and all with perfect weather and an extremely knowledgeable tour guide, Jamie. This was the last fun item on my quick Portland vacation and it did not disappoint. Definitely check out if you have a few hours, want some gorgeous views, and want to know more about this wonderful city.

Yelp
THE MOST MEMORABLE activity in Portland. They are so well organized. You get your bike and helmet fitted for you by the employees then they load your bike for you and chat with you. I went with a family of 5 from Austin, TX with teenage kids and another single person who ended up having worked for the State Dept. You basically become family with your fellow cyclists after 5+ hours together. They don't hurry you either. Once we got to the Gorge, our guide Crystal took us to a few lookouts including the Women's Forum before going to the falls. She rides with us to the first falls then rides back when we hike to one of the falls. The hikes are very short - less than 15 minutes IF THAT - and very doable. The guide then got the van, rode with us, and then went back for the van again. Our group did cycle for about 3 miles by ourselves in one line without our guide, but this proved to be no issue. We met up with the guide at the last falls - you can bike or hike from the previous falls depending on the traffic. We experienced no traffic and was able to bike all the way to the last falls. As for cycling, the bikes are very well-maintained and the road has no more than a 5% grade so pretty much anyone can cycle. It's also safe. We were the only people on the road biking, which surprised me. I think Pedal Bike Tours has a monopoly. You can also book private tours for a surprisingly good price. I was apprehensive at first paying $99 but this was WORTH IT!

Vincent A.

Yelp
Scottland Forbes is an amazing guru of Portland. My wife and I took the Colombia River Gorge tour and it was worth the $$. Five hours of driving to numerous picture worthy spots, biking, and hiking! On the drive Scott provided a ton of Portland knowledge. At each spot he gave us instructions on where to bike to. Lastly, we hiked together and he even turned on the waterfall for us! If you're looking for a way to explore Portland take the tour with Scottland!

Jean L.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our Intro to Portland bike tour this past weekend. Our guide, Daniel, was super nice and did a good job of explaining lots of history when we paused for frequent, short stops throughout the city. In contrast, we also did a walking tour the day before with a different group and the tour guide went on and on until 100% of the group had back pains. This bike tour was way better! It was 3hrs long but the pace was super chill, which is exactly what I needed since I'm super preggo. I docked one star only because the seats were pretty stiff and both my SO and I had some soreness the next day.

Gabriella E.

Yelp
We received the Brewery tour as a gift. We had a fantastic time with Scotland riding our bikes around the city, he was knowledgeable and informative. Learned a lot about the city while drinking great beers. After the tour was over we end up signing up for the Gorge Tour to get out of the city and we came back the next day. Cruising down hill in our bicycles was immersive. It was AN AMAZING experience. Jaime was our tour guy and his adventurous spirit is infectious. Best tour experience in Portland hands down! Definitely passing by the shop next time we are in town.

Harkirat N.

Yelp
The Hubby put together a Portland trip and discovered this place through a friend who suggested it from Yelp! So when he told me a bike tour was on the agenda I was a bit skeptical because it was something I didn't expect from him. We did the Saturday 1pm Columbia Gorge tour. Daniel was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable (he literally told us everything we needed to know & was happy to take questions) and he put us at ease-I was a bit nervous about biking on the road, there isn't really a bike lane but Daniel was so calm and relaxing that it put all our anxiety to the side which really helped us focus on the bike tour itself. The weather was spectacular, and the falls were absolutely gorgeous! This was our first trip to Portland and we both thought this was our favorite thing to do on the trip mind you it was tough because Portland in general was amazing! Some tips mention Yelp and get your Yelper discount, water bottles/water are provided! Much of the tour is shaded so hats aren't necessary, but a light jacket would be useful! We can't wait to go back and try some of the other tours that are offered!

Yelp
We saw this tour from Trip Advisor and booked it through them but would've been better to book directly. We took the bike and hike gorge tour and it was AWESOME. It's the best way to see all 5 waterfalls because the day before we drove to each waterfall and parking was a nightmare trying to find parking in a limited space. But the bike tour was easy and mostly downhill ride. Evan was our tour guide and he was absolutely knowledgeable about OR and the falls. He is also a talented musician that loves to play the keys and bass in a band. Also, he knows all the killer places to eat locally as well. Overall 5 stars!!!

Yelp
We did the Gorge tour and it was an amazing trip. You meet downtown at the Bike Tour shop (a block away from Voodoo Doughnuts and Stumptown Coffee, so you can get some breakfast in). You then drive about 30 min to get out there. The best thing about doing the waterfall tour is that you get to see waterfalls and scenery that aren't overrun by tourists. Some of the first few waterfalls on the tour only had about 5-10 other tourists there. So I was really shocked to get to Multnomah Falls and see that it felt like Disneyworld with all of the people and commercialization (and this was on a Friday, not even a weekend). The bicycling itself isn't too hard, so don't worry if you aren't in great shape. We had a toddler with us and it was fine pulling her in a little cub. We were running late on time, so we missed out on biking the last few miles, but overall it was a great time filled with awesome scenery. One thing, I'd be cautious of doing this when it's too hot, because that would be miserable. We had temps in the mid 60s with a light drizzle, which was perfect.

Yelp
Had a flat tire and was wandering aimlessly looking for a bike shop. Came upon bike tours. What do you know, helped out in a hurry! Allan in the back was able to pause what he was doing to change out my flat. The front person was courteous and I just had a good experience with these folks.

Yelp
Had an awesome time with Kieran on the brewery tour. Great knowledge of the city and he even shared the history of some of the local breweries and establishments. Super fun and very safe! Also, if the question is Tots? The answer is always yes, please!

Yelp
Did the three hour bike tour with Kieran. For the first two hours did not bike more that three blocks at a time without stopping. Kieran seemed to be reading off a script and sounded like a monotone robot. He did not engage his audience at all and most of the time seemed to be talking to no one. The tour itself didn't help the matter since we did almost no biking and a lot of stopping. I was looking forward to getting to know the city and getting some exercise, that could not have been farther from what happened. I have know idea how this place has five stars, the tour route and the tour guide were quite possibly the worst I've ever experienced.

Yelp
Book with Ana, y'all. She was so much fun to be with and is extremely knowledgeable about Portland. It's the Willamette, dammittttt!!

Yelp
Hands down, the highlight of my short trip to Portland! Staff was super friendly and our tour guide, Daniel, was knowledgeable, fun, and bonus: an amazing photographer I would highly recommend booking a tour if you want to see the beauty that Portland has to offer!

Yelp
We had the BEST time with Kieran on our brewery tour!! He was the most fantastic guide who took us around the city and gave us just enough history, IPAs, and tater tots :) We would absolutely recommend this for anyone staying in Portland, and we're so happy to spend a part of our weekend trip in Portland with Kieran!

Yelp
This tour was awesome! We did the river gorge tour and had my family with me( including a 5 year old) they had a great attachment called a weehoo for my son to ride in. Multnomah falls is amazingly beautiful. Daniel was an amazing guide with so much knowledge of Portland and surrounding areas , he also gave us tons of ideas on places to visit and eat at while in Portland! Thank you so much for giving us such an amazing experience Daniel!

Yelp
Excellent tour of the Columbia River Gorge with Daniel. We hit every spot we wanted to see (Multnomah, Bridal, Vista House) but did it on bikes! 5 miles of mostly downhill coasting was an excellent ride, with similarly excellent narration along the way by Daniel (pictured above one of our bikes-"taco"). Highly recommend a tour with him!

Yelp
When in Portland as a visitor, it is imperative to spend at least one day touring via bike. The best way to do this is through Pedal Bike Tours! Jason and Scotland were both so extremely helpful and friendly when renting us two multi-speed bikes and an iBert seat for our toddler. They were also very patient after we attempted and eventually failed trying to tandem bike with said iBert. (Don't do this btw, lol.) Prices are very reasonable. Would use them again whenever we are back in the city! Thanks guys!

Yelp
We went on the general bike tour with Scotland this past week and it was great! He is a super knowledgeable & interesting guide and kept the tour fun the entire time. The receptionist was also very friendly and informative, answering any questions we had. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone interested in an overall well-rounded tour with friendly people.
