Peddler's Village

Peddlers village is amazing! We feel fortunate that it is near our home but we would drive quite a distance to enjoy, if we didn’t live in Buckingham Township. Christmas is spectacular with the crazy amount of lights and we always enjoy seeing the gingerbread house display/competition. Fall is beautiful and fun with the decorations and Scarecrow competition. So many great festivities year round with charming shops and beautiful landscaping for enjoyable strolling, shopping and dining.

This is a very relaxing outdoor shopping center with lots of trees and shrubs throughout. They decorate nice for the holidays. There are a lot of unique stores, not chain stores. Also, lots of restaurants and food options. Check their schedule online. They offer holiday music on some days/ nights. There is a large parking lot with porta pottys right across the street as well as bathrooms throughout the village.

Every January, for 2 weekends, Peddler's Village hosts a Fire & Frost event that I look forward to every year! I love it because it extends the Christmas season longer. This is perfect for our family because while others are enjoying their Christmas Season weeks prior to Christmas, we usually don't start enjoying our Christmas season until Christmas Eve. The lights at Peddler's Village continues the Christmas vibes and the Fire & Frost event is the icing on the cake! Walking from the parking lot, you're greeted with the Gingerbread House displays and food trucks. As you enter the village you're greeted with lovely ice sculptures at most shops! There's a Scavenger Hunt for the kids to find Jack Frost and they get a prize when they've found 4 Jack Frosts. There's a Fire Artistry show every 45 minutes and a Live Ice Sculpting Demonstration. The best part is that it's all FREE! My family also loves visiting Sticky Situation, a honey shop, where you can taste different flavored honey for free. Our other favorite shop is Bucks County House of Jerky because there is a variety of different flavored beef jerky, like Kangaroo and Alligator. I am mature in years, but visiting Peddler's Village, especially during the Fire & Frost weekend makes me feel like a kid everytime!!!

Snow on the ground, blue sky overhead, Christmas tree still holding the line like a seasonal overachiever — and somehow, the shops and restaurants are OPEN. On January 1. Respect. It looks like a postcard that accidentally became real life. You expect everything to be closed and someone to charge you $18 for hot chocolate “for the vibes,” but nope, prices are reasonable, food is solid, and no one is trying to upsell you nostalgia. Strolling around feels peaceful, not tourist-trappy. Cozy but not fake-cozy. Festive but not exhausting. It’s the rare place where you can eat, shop, walk, and breathe without feeling financially or emotionally attacked. If this is how the year starts, I’ll take it. Would welcome the New Year here again.

Dozens of shops with unique products not to be found anywhere else. Restaurants and small pubs are very good but a bit pricey. The atmosphere is spectacular especially at Christmas time. Visiting during the week is much less crowded and chaotic. Parking lot is free and quite large but can fill up fast depending on day of the week and time of day. Access roads become easily congested while getting in and out can be chaotic at times.

Our visit was during the Christmas season. Pros... Beautiful display of lights. Must see!!! Many options to support locally owned shops. Cons... Extreme crowds. Parking was a problem. Restaurants had a 3 1/2 wait. Tips. Arrive early. (Lunch time) When it gets dark and the lights are lit you won't be able to find parking. If you want to eat dinner, book 3 1/2 hours in advance. Overall a good experience however because of the cons I don't expect to return. I do suggest visiting at least once during the Christmas season

Peddlers village is def cute specially when it got a little dark and all the Christmas lights were shining. Wished there were more spots to eat bc the waiting lines were crazy long so we didn't eat anything there. It said there would be food trucks but I never saw them. But overall definitely worth a visit

Beautifully maintained shopping village with so much activity. Every restaurant offers delicious food. There's a distillary, winery, brewery and coffee shop. Shops are fun with many offering very affordable items during the holidays. Every festival has been a fun time. I love Christmas the best as the lights are magical. Tips: Walkways are brick and can be quite hilly and difficult for some. If you bring kids, the stores and eateries are small and may not accommodate strollers.
