I had such a great experience with this vascular surgery office. The doctors and the entire staff are very professional, kind, and genuinely nice people. From the beginning, everything was well organized and clearly explained, which made the whole process much less stressful. I’m really glad I chose to have my surgery here. I had been to other facilities before, so I truly can compare - and the level of care here was noticeably better. They take their work seriously, are very knowledgeable and responsible, and they did thorough ultrasounds and follow-ups to make sure everything was done properly and working as it should.

Yesterday I had a stent procedure with Dr. Goldstein. I wanted to thank the entire team. Dr. Hewitt saw me first for a consultation. He knew from my symptoms that I needed some help. He ordered an MRV and helped me get the right procedures ordered. I felt like a priority from the time I met him. I felt heard. Yolanda the scheduler was very professional and prompt. Helping me get scheduled quickly. Juliana, Mariana, Goli, Ghazal and Chelsea took care of me while I was there. I was nervous for the procedure and feeling vulnerable. I also have an allergic reaction when I get exposed to cold temperatures. It’s called Cold Urticaria. Being in an operating room can be painful due to the cold temperatures. Mariana and Goli went above and beyond to make sure to I felt safe, covered and super warm. They used blankets, and even multiple heating packs. After the procedure Juliana stayed with me and made sure I was feeling okay and warm. I was her last patient, but she didn’t make me feel rushed or like an inconvenience. I just wanted everyone to know what a great experience I had. The doctors were both intelligent and caring…highly recommend them! I have to go back for another procedure and I’m glad it will be with the incredible Dr. Goldstein and his awesome team.

We are incredibly grateful to the dedicated team at [Pedes Orange County] and to Dr. Hewett and Dr. Goldstein for their ongoing care for my father. He has faced multiple vascular surgeries this year, and his recent ultrasound showed concerning findings. We were hopeful for one more procedure before year’s end to help prevent further complications. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to reach the team despite our best efforts, and my father’s foot condition continues to worsen. This is an urgent situation for him and our family, and we’re seeking immediate guidance and a clear plan of care. If anyone has recommendations for: how best to reach the care team (phone, after-hours lines, or patient portal), alternative contact points within the same medical group or hospital, or guidance on next steps for urgent vascular/foot care, we would be profoundly grateful.

I saw Dr. Hewett today for my initial consultation. He was kind, professional, and articulated the information well. Felt confident in his assessment thus far. Hard to assuage my fears with such serious medical issues, but he was patient and offered plenty of time. Office was spic and span clean. Front end staff and doctor's assistant were friendly and competent. Thank you for seeing me on such short notice.

I am writing this review on behalf of my father, who has been a patient of Dr. Derrick Tran at PEDES Orange County. From the very first visit, we knew we were in great hands. Dr. Tran is an exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated physician who truly goes above and beyond for his patients. He takes the time to thoroughly explain every detail, ensuring we understand all options and feel confident in the care being provided. No question ever goes unanswered, and his patience and expertise are unmatched. Beyond Dr. Tran, the entire staff at PEDES Orange County is absolutely amazing! From the front desk team to the medical assistants, nurses and techs, everyone is kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. They make scheduling easy, treat every patient with the utmost respect, and ensure a smooth experience at every visit. My father and I are beyond grateful for the outstanding care he has received.

Great doctors. Great facility. Problem is front desk never answers phone. Always get voicemails never call back. Very long Menu just to make an appointment. It’s easier to just drive down there and do it in person. Also had problems with the front desk just trying to do easy task like sending Referrals for an MRI. Had to drive down there in person pick up the paperwork and drive to the facility and do it myself. The front desk is not much help. Good luck just making an appointment.

Staff is friendly & kind & explained everything. I was seen fairly quickly as well. Overall experience was positive.

Dr. Herbert, Miguel, Chelsea, Patrick, Dr. Tran and others are all around solid, nice human beings. I've had to spend a substantial amount of time there, and appreciate all the effort and extra miles they've put in. Dr.Herbert has got to be the leading expert in his field, extremely knowledgeable, ethical and personable.

I took my wife for a doctor's appointment, was impressed by the office staff, very nice and helpful, technicians are very knowledgeable on their tasks and I had the opportunity to meet Doctor Joseph Hewett, with regards to my wife medical care, on my opinion he's kind of person that loves his profession and like to help the community, very knowledgeable about the importance of helping people with their well-being, very informative and honest, Thank you so much for helping my wife on her health issues, I recommend this place to the community for any health related issues.

Terrible experience. After my initial visit I had to call weekly to get an answer about my insurance benefits and if they covered. I was finally told I was completely covered for my vein procedure and to schedule a pre op visit. Fast forward to today. I show up to my visit and am told my insurance benefits do not cover anything and that they're sorry. Terrible experience. Unorganized. Do not recommend. Wasted my time and my commute plus waited 60 minutes in a room to hear this.

Couldn't even get through for an appt. I called the office for 2 days and Urgent care who I had seen had recommended them - they faxed them my information. The office never called me back. Ended up going to the Emergency in the hospital and was given medication to correct what could have been a serious condition.

Dr Joseph Hewitt is the best doctor, he is kind, smart, and through. My son has had numerous surgeries due to bad veins. He has kept us informed and has even come in on the weekends to help my son with antibiotic IV 's. He is so caring and helpful. Bless him!

I came in for an emergency referral for an artery issue. They were very thorough when explaining the result of the ultra sound. All stall made me feel very comfortable and cared for during my visit.

Went to Pedes Orange County vein care . So far they have been very thorough and very informative . The staff is professional and a pleasure to work with.

Beautiful staff. They were very sweet but Horrible doctors. There's a doctor I met dr. Hewett for consultation for my mom and he kept saying things that gave me hope. The surgery was done by a dr, klantari and he took my mom in the operating room and didn't even do anything. Just put her under to say sorry I thought I could Help but couldn't. Don't go here.

Top notch service from beginning to end! I hope you don't need to see a doctor here but if you do, your in great hands with Pedes! We were referred here from mom's podiatrist (Dr. Lejuene, an another amazing doctor). Here's how we ended up here.. Dr. Lejuene did a ingrown nail removal at the end of April on my moms toe, it was an easy procedure and he sent her on her way with antibiotics and follow up instructions. It was a simple procedure but unfortunately mom developed a terrible infection 10 days later, her toe started to turn black and purple. She was bleeding and the skin around her toe was peeling. I got her to the ER and it was discovered part of the problem to her infection was a blockage in her artery that was cutting off the circulation in her foot. During the visit with Dr. Goldstein, it was so thorough and a full work up of imaging prior to meeting him. He looked at her toe and knew how serious this was. He scheduled an angiogram 3 days later and the procedure was successful. He has his own surgery center next door to the office and it was extremely clean and his staff was amazing! We used to think Hoag had a high standard but Pedes takes it up a notch. Everything was so streamlined. They really put us at ease and kept me in touch once she was out of surgery. His nurses and surgical technicians were so nice and efficient! They took such great care of my mom. We came back very early the next day for a follow up ultrasound and to check her incision. My only complaint is that when your going to check out and make a follow up appointment it literally takes a good 15-20 minutes. It should be within a timely manner. The front staff kept apologizing but I don't understand what the hold up is. Hopefully they can work on that but other than that this office is a gem. They expedited my mom's appointment and surgery because they know how serious this is. Dr. Goldstein knows his stuff, he went right to the problem and very straightforward. He can't guarantee he can save her toe but as a whole he is trying to save her foot. When it comes to something this serious you need to be able to trust the doctors and I have nothing bad to say about Pedes! ^__^

I was referred by my pcp here recently due to some pain in my legs and varicose veins. I was seen by Dr Kalantari. I don't usually leave reviews for doctors but he was honestly so nice and very thorough. Not your average doctors visit for sure. He listened to everything I had to say and cared about the pain I was experiencing in my legs. I have my first procedure scheduled with him in a few weeks and I feel like I'm in great hands.

For some reason Yelp won't show my review and I just want to ensure that credit is given where credit is due. Pedes has changed my life forever and no review, words or testimonial will ever truly reflect my gratitude.

At Pedes all of the staff was amazing, super nice and welcoming . Nice clean office, friendly staff, prompt detailed service. My dad's MRI was done here very efficiently and they squeezed us in last minute given the urgency indicated by the primary doctor.

the most incompetent staff of so called medical professionals I've ever dealt with. started out fine, but then trying to make a procedure appointment became a nightmare .the dr said schedule it, and the office staff said we'll call you. after more than a week and calling in 3 times, they finally scheduled me the day before, they called to confirm, and when I got there, they prepped me ready to go, when the dr came in and asked about being off blood thinners for 2 days prior. I said no, no one had called me, so we were both aggravated and he told the staff to get me in ASAP, they scheduled me for the following friday morn at 7:30. the day before I was in phx and drove back for the appt. where I was told I was not on the schedule and the dr doesn't do those on friday. I had about had it with them at that point and couldn't even speak with anyone until 8. I expressed my disgust with them and finally emailed the dr. about a week later they set up an appt, and the day before, cancelled due to drs. wife giving birth, so another 2 weeks and finally got in. procedure went fine I guess, and a second procedure was needed and not scheduled. finally it's almost the end of august and I get a call from the staff to schedule my other leg. not 5 minutes after, I tried 6 times to call back, each time going to voice mail. finally got thru and the staff member was supposedly with a patient. I left word for him to call me back ASAP since the appt time would run into another appt I had. no call back and for 3 more days, never heard a word. I didn't show, and didn't even receive a call the following day I was scheduled for my follow up for right leg. we finished that procedure and then I was told it was the drs. last day at that office talk about a clusterfuck and without a doubt the worst run medical practice I've ever had to deal with in my 70 years on this planet kudos to the dr. but pedes is the last place I'd ever go for vein/ blood clot procedures

The doctors and staff here are amazing! I have venous insufficiency in my legs and wanted to go to the best and I found them! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, and the procedures are handled with the utmost professionalism and safety. I'm so glad that I found PEDES OC that I'm referring my mother here and bringing her from TX for treatment. You will be so happy to have found this place!

The front desk team was amazing! They welcomed us to the center and the check in process was seamless. Dr Hewett has a great bedside manner. He took the time to ask why we were there, listened to our symptoms and took the time to explain treatment options. There was a lot of back and forth questions and at the end of the exam we were very satisfied with the solution algorithm he presented. I would definitively recommend PEDES for anyone with arterial or venous disease, great experience! Thank you Dr Hewett!

As a first patient of Dr. Hewett, my mother and I were impressed with the staff's caring about my moms health. He took the time to fully explain my moms treatment. I would highly recommend Mr. Hewett.

--UTERINE FIBROID EMBOLIZATION (UFE)-- AFTER INITIAL CONSULTATION: I am sooooo happy that my network has Dr. Goldstein as an Interventional Radiologist!! Let me start with Susan who works at the front desk! She was kind enough to put in the hard work to research for me. Thanks to her, I got the final confirmation that this office was in my network and does do UFE!!! Dr. Goldstein, wow, wow, wow!!!! I am speechless to find such a kind soul and a truly honest man. He is a man who loves his chosen field! I went in shaking because I am so apprehensive and intimidated about getting this procedure done. His energy, enthusiasm, and confidence has definitely eased my fear!! He spent a long time reassuring me. I love the fact that he took the time and was open to questions. I had tons of questions and my list was rather long. What I most admire about Dr. Goldstein was that he was extremely honest! I asked him a question that was not in his field of specialty, he was frank with me that it was truly not his area of expertise; however, he offered to find out the answer! I love a doctor whom I can trust and not one who pretends to know everything and doesn't. He empowers me with all the knowledge to make an inform decision. I've felt very little pain yesterday and today! He is a miracle worker! I just took off my gauze and I am crying with joy! My cut was the size of a paper cut. I feel so bad. My sister-in-law who just had a hysterectomy for fibroids 2 days before me. She is still in the hospital trying to recover. Her surgeon convinced her to proceed because he couldn't do UFE. She is still in the hospital. If it wasn't for UFE, I would have had to do a hysterectomy too. Yet here I am (even since the first day), I'm walking around like crazy! Happy as a lark! Bottom line: this was the BEST DOCTOR AND STAFF FOR UFE! If you have any questions regarding this procedure or doctor/staff...I would love to answer them for you! :-)

The staff and Dr. Hewett is wonderful. Very friendly and caring. I recommend this place to anyone who has leg problems. The Dr. Hewett explains everything so that you understand and answers any questions you may have.

From my first vist to the day of my procedure I was treat with the upmost professionalism both by the doctor and his staff. Fifteen years ago I had my first veins surgery on both legs. The recovery process was overwhelming compare to todays procedure. I thank God for the new advancements in medicine especially with this procedure. I never had any doubt in my mind about the doctor experience or knowledge. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Also they were very generous in providing an Uber for all the follow up appointments. I am very grateful to both the physician and his staff for being a caring and welcoming throughout my entire process.

I cannot say enough about Doctors Goldstein and Hewit. They are skilled in what they do and there was little to no pain with my ablations. I am in healthcare and I can tell you many vascular physicians take shortcuts. Not these folks. I would highly endorse them. Spent more than the expected amount of time with me explaining the procedure beforehand.

Kind nurses and staff, clean facilities. The doctor was very informative and thorough in his diagnosis of my mother's condition and told us what our next steps should be. The nurses were very kind and friendly with my mother while I filled out her paperwork.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my grandmother. She say,.. I had a good experience for my first visit. The staff was very attentive. Dr. Goldstein was very patient and explained everything in Laymans term. He even used props! So, it sounds like she'll be returning to your office since you guys are so AWESOME!

Last October my husband was diagnosed with PAD. He had 3 stents put in his leg. A 3 hour surgery turned into a 12 hour surgery. Dr Goldstein went above and beyond And I know my husband is grateful because he still had both legs. Had this been any other doctor, my husband would have been an amputee. This surgery went until midnight and we were back in his office at 7:00am to make sure my husband had remained stable. One year later and at my husband's last visit, he got good news. My husband wanted to celebrate. He was doing so well my husband doesn't have to go back for 6mo! Thank you Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Hewitt.

Please do your research and never get a procedure done on the same day of the consultation. My elderly mother was diabetic and had some blockage in the legs and Pedes recommended that she get stints in immediately. Well, it actually didn't work after several procedures adding more stents which are not reversible. Many months later, the doctor recommended a vascular surgeon because he can't help her. I was shocked because I thought I was working with a vascular surgeon. Basically, we ended up going to a vascular surgeon and he saw my mother's blockage initially before the stents and he said it was not necessary to put in stints and it doesn't work most of the time. It causes more blockage and you don't have any options in the future to do other less invasive procedures. In the end, she ended up passing away shortly afterwards from the blockage that was accelerated by adding several stents in her legs by Pedes. Please research all your options and go to a vascular surgeon.

*** READ THIS!!! *** There are a number of reasons why I may not write a review right away. For Pedes, I've been sitting on this review for a while now. One of the reasons I wanted to take my time was to find the words and thoughts to properly convey how I feel. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes WORDS ARE INSUFFICIENT to truly describe the Pedes team and specifically Dr. Goldstein. How can I possibly say "thank you" enough for treating a love one? For those who are traveling down this path I'm leaving you a message in a bottle at the fork in the road. I'm telling you to look no further. Dr. Goldstein's approach to treatment and his dedication is outstanding. The operative word is "treatment". In my opinion he provides a more conservative approach to treating peripheral artery disease that suits my family's needs well. His skills as a physician combined with compassion for his patients shows. He takes the time to answer questions from the patient and family. I certainly feel a comfortable level of communication that is greatly appreciated when it comes to important and sometimes critical matters. If I had to use words to describe the Pedes team and Dr. Goldstein the words that come to mind are OUTSTANDING, COMPASSIONATE, CARING, EXCELLENT, PERSISTENT, DILIGENT, and AMAZING. For those who are struck with illness, or you have a loved one with illness, there is ONE thing you know... YOU WILL LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED to find the best possible care for them. Dr. Goldstein is the person who will provide that level of care. (A message to you, the reader... I wish you or your family member the best of luck in your journey to better health.)

So happy with Pedes Orange County. The staff are all so helpful and welcoming. Liz, Sam, Tera, Dr. Goldstein, Dr. Hewett, everyone is so friendly. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone. They also have an ultrasound department in house which makes it so convenient to get everything done at once. No need to go to two different places and then wait on results!

Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Hewett, along with their staff have been amazing and so helpful to me. From the receptionist greeting me with a welcoming smile to the back office staff being so friendly. The doctors took their time to explain and educate me on the plan and procedures required for my care. My surgery went great and I am very happy with the results. I have referred my mother and they have been able to help her with her health problems as well. They have spanish staff available to help!

Dr. Kalantari is the most professional physician I have ever met. Wow, just wow. He is so kind and spent so much time with my father answering every single question. He provided us with so many resources and offered to meet with us over telehealth if we had more questions regarding my father's treatment. It is nice to know a physician like him exists. The staff is courteous and organized, we had all of our follow up appointments set up for the future before we even left the office. Definitely come to Pedes!

I had planned on giving PEDES and Dr. Goldstein 5 stars but unfortunately the front office has made it impossible for me. Dr. Goldstein was wonderful at my consultation. I have been attempting to get a return call from his assistant or office manager for 2 weeks after I returned their call. I even tried an email but to date I've received no response. Sadly, I have contacted my referring physician and have asked for a new vascular specialist. If this is the level of service I can expect should I have complications with my procedure this is absolutely unacceptable. It saddens me to know a great physician and medical practice may be losing patients due to sub-par front office staff they are perhaps unaware of. I would love the opportunity to speak with Dr. Goldstein and his office Manager.

This was a very disappointing experience. I really enjoyed my appointments with Dr. Hewitt, but Dr. Goldstein absolutely ruined that for me. I will never go back to their office again. He has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have spoken with and could not have cared less about what was going on in my life. He just called me fat multiple times and did not allow me to get a word in. The office staff also messes up quite often. So very disappointing, but I have already found another doctor so I don't have to rely on them. If I could give a ZERO I would.

2018--had 3 operations at Pedes--3 or more to go--no end in sight--made my problem much worse----changed to a Hoag doctor (Dr. Mady)----am now on Vasculara RX, no longer wear support stockings, and no more foot or leg ulcers or pain. 2018 was a bad year for my leg--pain pain pain. ***Please get a second or third opinion before letting ANY doctor remove veins from your legs. My original problem--was NOT cosmetic---it was a dime size ankle ulcer---that I could have easily lived with-----now have to take an RX 2X a day. Nice people at Pedes---just make sure it's the right place for you---I made a big mistake and didn't get another opinion from a different doctor---------preferably at Hoag. Hoag saved my life in 2009, stage 4 head and neck cancer--worst stage cancer spreading-------I've been cured! Had been given 20% survival---May 2020 will be 11 years. Happy New Year

The entire team at Pedes OC is highly skilled, professional and kind. They are prompt in getting things done, such as submitting the procedures to insurance, scheduling, etc. The wait in the waiting room is short and the environment is great. Dr Neil Goldstein, Brittany, Samuel, Anne Marie and Greg... are a great team. Very coordinated as a team and they are hardworking. I unreservedly recommend PEDES OC for all vein issues. You need not look any further! Thank you to each of you for your kindness, professionalism and geniune care to see my legs restored to as close to clean and perfect as possible.

Wow! They're Customer Service is the best! I brought in my Aunt for a veins treatment we were immediately greeted by Ms.Francine and she Welcomed us & offered us a refreshment. My Aunt is very happy with her results. I'm very excited for her! Thank you for your wonderful service Ms.Francine! She also mentioned if next time I can't bring in my Aunt, they provide transportation! This was great to hear since I do work full time. Overall a 10/10

I first did some research online before settling on Pedes. I took a family member to see Dr Goldstein for a vascular consult. However, we were unable to see Dr Goldstein since he was doing procedures so we saw Dr Hewett instead. Before I talk about the appointment, let's just go over their scheduling process (as it's a little different than most doctors' office). They do not take walk-in patients so an appointment is a must. New patients get ultrasounds done at the same building but it is done by a different company. Usually, diagnostic tests are done after seeing the physician but at Pedes, ultrasounds are done prior to the consultation. The result of the scans are given during the consultation immediately after the ultrasounds. The ultrasounds done are very extensive and detailed. Each scan took about 30 minutes and there was a total of 3 scans each. This actually saves us one trip to the doctor. (think: initial consultation, physician orders diagnostic imaging, get imaging done, then follow up with physician to go over results. Such a hassle. Now that I see how Pedes does this, I wish other doctors would do the same). OK so like I said. We wanted to see Dr. Goldstein but wasn't able to since he was in procedures all day. (turns out Dr. Goldstein isn't available to see patients on Mondays and Thursdays). At first we were bummed but then we thought why not see Dr. Hewett instead. So we did and it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Hewett is very knowledgeable and very patient with explaining everything to us. He also understood our concerns and answered all of our questions. It was very easy to communicate with him and we didn't feel rushed during out consultation (our consultation was 45 minutes). He also explained medical terminology in layman terms. It was a lot easier to understand certain concepts regarding the veins and arteries when he started comparing them to house plumbing! He also brought in Susan who speaks Chinese just in case my relatives needed a translator (she was also the one who scheduled our appointment and explained the whole process I described in the beginning if this review to me). I have to say, this was probably the best experience I've had at doctor's office and my relatives agree. We have a follow up appointment in two months and we're scheduled with Dr. Goldstein. I'm sure Dr. Goldstein will not disappoint. I definitely recommend this office for anyone looking for a vascular specialist.
