Pedlar’s Inn Hostel

Great location and value for money. In the morning you can walk upto the fort and enjoy some great views both of the fort and the sea. Staff is amazingly helpful. Rooms could be a little better in terms of cleanliness but nevertheless it was a good stay decision for us. Very near to the Galle bus station. Definitely recommended to fellow travellers and backpackers.

Fantastic hostel. Good location. The dorm room is clean and nice. Good atmosphere in the lobby as backpacker can chat there comfortably. Friendly and helpful staffs who just like your friends. One of the best hostels that I have ever stayed.

It's a stylish hostel, located in the heart of Galle. Very central. The staff is friendly and devoted. Our single room was spacious. Nevertheless I found that the price was a bit high for a hostel. Also the breakfast was a bit basic... The rest was great.

Nice hostel with good prices. TV to watch the football (in English) breakfast was basic, watermelon and toast with eggs made fresh. The 3 bed dorm on the first floor has a balcony which was nice to chill. You access this room via the 4 bed mixed dorm which was quite smelly. Shower and bathroom was standard. Electricity kept cutting out which meant the fans stopped and the room was stiflingly hot. The guy who worked there was friendly and helpful. Wifi is restricted to 300mb per day. You’re given a code to use. I was given 2 as it was low season and not many people using it. It worked quickly compared to other hostels.

Azim is a great and friendly guy, so welcoming and hospitable - you couldnt ask more from a host. The location is great and breakfast was perfect. The building itself has stylish design but is in dire need of upkeep. The mildew smell of the building was quite intense and the pictures were surely outdated. This review was for private room.

Each bed (no bunk beds) offers a mosquito net, own fan and plugs. The hostel is located in the core of the fort, so all the nice shops and the lighthouse are just around the corner. Awesome stay!

Truth to be told, I didn’t stay here. I just passed by. But later when I reached my home in India while chitchatting with friends I came to know that two of my friends stayed here when they were in Galle. According to them, the host is friendly and hostel is clean.

Very good in 1000LKR. Near to galle light house. You can rome around the galle city and go to galle beach walk to view the sunset. Good restaurants and pubs are available at walking distance. Provide breakfasts also have vegan option (fruits).
