Peel Inn Hotel

Very pleasant and welcomed stop at the Peel Inn after a daytrip to Sheeba Dam and Hanging Rock lookout. The Peel Inn is the focal point of the town of Nundall. The Peel Inn felt like a step back in time, rich with history, the original building has been well preserved. The atmosphere in the rear beer garden was the highlight for me. With a full vine ceiling and plenty of available seating. The food was a delicious pub lunch menu, burgers and chips etc. Definitely worth a visit.

I have never stayed at a country pub before , so was slightly apprehensive. Husband booked this venue to break up our trip home. We stayed in room 7 because it had its own bathroom. The bed is super comfy and the aircon worked well. Breakfast is complimentary and you have either cold options or bacon and eggs. They even bake their own bread. We stayed NYE and enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. They even had a DJ until 1:00 am. What I did not factor on was my hubby getting a bad cold the next night. Whilst trying to sleep the noise from adjoining rooms who were partying on the verandas. At 1:45 am it became too much and asked this young crew politely to tone it down a little. One young man was very apologetic, but the other was very very rude, as there are no staff on site over night nothing can be done. But the staff here go above and beyond.

We had lunch today at The Peel Inn. What a great venue. Bar staff & diningroom staff were all polite & welcoming. You always hope when you order steak in these rural areas that it will be nice & cooked properly. The Peel Inn chef served us a delicious & perfectly cooked Wagu steak with chips & salad. Thank you! Do not leave town without visiting the Inn for a 5star meal.

I visited Nundle for the Woolen Mills and the antiques shop but it was the food at The Peel Hotel that stole the show. Lamb Masala cooked to perfection and nicely spiced for me. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. We had a lovely lunch there and all three of us were very satisfied with our meals and the ambience. We had fantastic service at the bar as well. Overall it was a perfect day out.

Enjoyed a trip to Nundle yesterday for lunch with friends and a look around the town - a change from a weekend with many more tourists. The food was delicious - Lamb Marsala - extra bite for the ones who wanted more chilli. Very quiet - only guests for lunch - enjoyed the wine and a wander around the streets including the woollen mill and antique shop. Weather perfect! Nundle has enough of interest to make a day out a pleasant experience and being up in the hills - not quite as hot during the summer months!!

I stayed here for two nights over a weekend and can't recommend the place highly enough. We were a large group and had breakfasts, lunches and dinners here. There was no need to leave. We found the perfect cozy spot by the fireplace at night, and loved being under the grapevine in the beer garden during the day. Made friends with some of the locals and other tourists passing through. Some were staying across the road at the caravan park, but the bar and restaurant kept drawing them in. I had a burger, steak sandwich and the full breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. Such lovely staff who all genuinely care about how you're enjoying your stay. And the bed was amazingly comfortable too. I knew it was going to be a great country pub, but there were absolutely zero compromises. You must visit if you're in the area.

Visited Peel Inn for lunch today on the way through from West to the coast. I was ready for ordinary pub grub ....but lo and behold there was real food on the menu. The smoked trout , chat potatoes and beans... so simple but so delicious. Cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Stayed for the weekend. Had a great time and an even better sleep. The food, facilities and the hospitality were impeccable. The kitchen was fast and the quality of each dish was perfect. Our group (of 8) all ordered at once, including steaks, curries, burgers and pies, and everything was polished off entirely.|The rooms were clean and had flatscreens and very comfortable beds.

Terrible service. Took over an hour to get our food. Food is average. I do not recommend

Had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic meal at the Peel Inn tonight. For pub grub it was restaurant quality. Great value for money with friendly service and the meal was served in an appropriate time. Will be back.

A reasonable ala carte menu. Kitchen opens at 6:30pm and it's best to get your order in early during peak times (for example the easter gold festival). A typical country pub with a selection of beer on tap that you would expect for the upper hunter. Service is with a smile, even though the locals are less friendly. Always our dinner choice over the easter long weekend.
