I stayed here for two nights over a weekend and can't recommend the place highly enough. We were a large group and had breakfasts, lunches and dinners here. There was no need to leave. We found the perfect cozy spot by the fireplace at night, and loved being under the grapevine in the beer garden during the day. Made friends with some of the locals and other tourists passing through. Some were staying across the road at the caravan park, but the bar and restaurant kept drawing them in. I had a burger, steak sandwich and the full breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. Such lovely staff who all genuinely care about how you're enjoying your stay. And the bed was amazingly comfortable too. I knew it was going to be a great country pub, but there were absolutely zero compromises. You must visit if you're in the area.

Stayed for the weekend. Had a great time and an even better sleep. The food, facilities and the hospitality were impeccable. The kitchen was fast and the quality of each dish was perfect. Our group (of 8) all ordered at once, including steaks, curries, burgers and pies, and everything was polished off entirely.|The rooms were clean and had flatscreens and very comfortable beds.

Proper country pub hospitality - Friendly service, comfortable room and good food - I stayed on a Tuesday night and enjoyed the $20 steak for dinner and the included Breakfast the next day. Great to see the pub supporting the local craft breweries. Even on a Tuesday night there were plenty of locals chatting away and a nice warm fire burning. The rooms are simple and comfortable, with shared facilities.

to all the team at the peel inn thanks for a great 2 night stay. we tried to do the trip 2 years ago but both of us got covid and had to cancel road trip.we decided to try again last week and very happy we did.to all the staff and the locals we met during our stay thank you all very much.everyone was happy and said hi to us . the meals at pub were the best. rooms were good and the top veranda was good just sitting there watching the world go by quietly not like hustle and bustle of brisbane. for years when we were driving south to scone to visit family we always said we have to call in to nundle. so very pleased we finally did.as did another couple we met at breakfast they said the same thing. once again thanks to everyone we will be back thanks murray

This iconic pub is our local. Great food, good service and one of the best beer gardens in Australia. I enjoyed the goat masala. The cheesy garlic bread is a perfect starter too.

Stopped in out of the blue for my 66th birthday - Drew took the time to organise a card, a slice of cake and a very good Tooheys New - much appreciated. Lovely town, great pub and very good food - the laksa was excellent. Great location - as Daryl would say - ah the serenity. Highly recommended as is the included breakfast - do yourself a favour and drop in - we will be back!

Good clean refreshed rooms, Lovely old pub with a great story of its past. Bar staff very obliging and friendly. The steaks were fab, and the beers went down one after the other, and the breakfast was exactly what was required. One of the best older pubs I've ever stayed, the locals make you feel welcome also.

I had the steak sandwich, was one of the best I’ve ever eaten, my partner had the chips and absolutely loved them. Fantastic service, great location. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend stopping in here for a meal and a cheeky beer

Yelp
Terrible service. Took over an hour to get our food. Food is average. I do not recommend

Yelp
Had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic meal at the Peel Inn tonight. For pub grub it was restaurant quality. Great value for money with friendly service and the meal was served in an appropriate time. Will be back.

Yelp
A reasonable ala carte menu. Kitchen opens at 6:30pm and it's best to get your order in early during peak times (for example the easter gold festival). A typical country pub with a selection of beer on tap that you would expect for the upper hunter. Service is with a smile, even though the locals are less friendly. Always our dinner choice over the easter long weekend.
