Pekeshe Restaurant Uchumi House

Usually busy at lunch time since it's within the central business district of Nairobi city and it serves a variety of dishes. Local dishes such as aliya ( smocked beef) is available among other local dishes including fish and kienyeji ( types of local variety) vegetables. It also serves dishes from central Kenya such as Mukimo, irio etc. Then as the day advances it's a meeting point for people who are served with porridge, tea, soft drinks and alcohol is also available.

The buffet at lunch time has a good variety of African dishes and is fairly well priced. The food is fresh as well

Cheap and decent food. No foreigners here, but buffet for 600 shillings can't be beat!

Service was a bit slow. Food was your basic fare, nothing fancy.

Serves a mix of African and western dishes and the prices are pocket friendly
