Ordered from here last night! Today I am extremely sick. Vomiting, and passing tons of stool! Im weak, I have no energy and just completely ill. I HAD TO TAKE THE DAY OFF BECAUSE OF THIS ILLNESS. I ordered chicken w. Broccoli and 1 order of wings. I ordered the combo at first. Thank god I downsized! Sad part is Im a mom of a special needs child with lots of energy. I cant wait till this feeling is over. I went to call the restaurant and sadly they are closed today. I demand my refund!

Very off putting attitude from the woman at the register. When I asked for extra duck sauce for my Mei fun, she reminded me I already had “a lot” she then aggressively searched through my take out back with her bare hands, without asking, touching my loose silverware, all to TAKE BACK the two soy sauce that were in my bag. Then she threw two additional duck sauces in my bag. I was so turned off I got soy sauce and new silverware from a nearby restaurant. Terrible attitude and horrible way to treat a customer. All of this over some unlimited duck sauce that they have on hand. First and last time eating at this place.

It's good, respectful people they don't take too long. It's just small and it's hot in summer time. I have order there and their food it's good.They made mistakes with my order a couple of times and their food can be a bit pricy. They don't mind fixing your order they are very quick to fixing it. Recently now I had an egg drop soup with too many spots and this the second time happening. Don't eat their egg drop soup. PS, So far the food I ordered were always good. Singapore Mei Fun, roast pork and vegetables, house special fried rice and crab sticks, shrimp white rice and broccoli, egg foo young (Mushroom, vegetable, beef flavor), shrimp dumplings, fried wontons and their sweet maduros were good. That's as far I know that was good and I never got sick from. So I'm sorry your experience been different. I never ordered chicken or ribs here because of better options I prefer personally for stuff like that.

Cramped, really bad and expensive fried rice, just go to shops below 116th on Amsterdam.

It's a fast food shop. Its environment is like those obsolete restaurants in China town which most Hollywood features. The people are very nice though! And MOST IMPORTANTLY at this price, they serve quick and good Chinese food. It makes me ponder why there are some bad reviews about the place

This is a fast-food place, I get it. The food is OK, but it's tailored to the neighborhood palate. There's lots of dishes with breading and sugary sauces. Even the fried won ton are just dumpling dough deep fried instead of using thin won ton skins for a crunchy result; they are thick and rubbery since the dough isn't right for frying. There are some more traditional Cantonese dishes on the menu that are tasty and not so sugary like the Happy Family mixed meat and veggies. There's a lot of obesity and diabetes in the neighborhood, they should mark dishes which are made without added sugar.

The guys the lady has cooking the food wipes his nose with his hands then continue to cook the food with no gloves and was coughing over the food

I ate here several times a week when I was a student. I ate there again tonight - for the 1st time in 13 years. I ordered my usual - tofu/broccoli with fries. Nothing has changed: still fantastic and tasty. Using same type of oil as back then. And the price has barely gone up. No frills and that's how they keep it affordable. Friendly staff and a peek into the 'real' NY for visitors who happen to be in the neighborhood.
