It is highly recommended. This accommodation is ideally situated on a busy street with plenty of shops and easy access to the metro station—a major plus for travelers. The facilities are well-maintained, and the common area downstairs offers comfortable seating. The shared rooms are spacious and cozy, ensuring a pleasant stay. However, one little drawback is the extremely small sign displaying the place's name, making it difficult to locate, especially if you're relying on maps that do not work properly. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was enjoyable enough that I decided to stay for a second night.

Great location and very friendly staff. This is really the place you want to be to explore Beijing - right at a buzzling street and many historic sites can be reached by bike. Also very close to the metro. Ihad a private room which was nice. Unfortunately the room had quite a strong smell when the AC was not turned on. Seemed to stem from the piping in the bathroom.

These guys are the best! Always ready to help, most of staff speak English and even if there's a struggle all problems are resolved with a translator. Hostel is located in the center and 3 minute walk away from the subway. Beds are clean, blankets are cozy, and room is cleaned every day. They provide laundry service for 50 CNY.In my room, AC was a bit noizy sometimes at night. I think there's a small piece broken somewhere inside so it can do "BZHHHH" at 4 am.

A friendly hostel in a great location. The rooms are a bit old, but nothing is broken. The central room where you can meet up with others does not have windows, but the connected bar/restaurant makes up for it by being a very welcoming environment.Tip: Great Leap Brewing is within walking distance - an amazing Beijing craft beer brewery in the middle of a houtong area.

Had a great stay at Peking Youth Hostel! The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was amazing. A big thank you to the receptionist who helped me to set up a chinese app! The metro station is right down the road, and there are many good restaurants nearby (Hint: ask for recommendations at the desk). Looking forward to come back on my next visit in Beijing. :)

The hostel is well located, not too far from the main touristic attractions, and very close to the subway station.Overall, the facilities are ok, even though it looks a bit dirty sometimes, but the shared bedroom (two people) are not well maintained, it looks more like a storage room rather than a room to sleep in. The lights were not working either. I was also surprised to see that I had to pay for shower gel, which I consider bare minimum in a hostel. The staff does not really speak English (which is ok, but do not advertise it on the website then) and they are not really helpfull. It was written that I could book a tour trip to the Great Wall, but when I asked them, they told me to look on Trip.com. Once again, do not promote things that you do not provide.

I really enjoyed my stay! The room was comfortable with a big window to let lots of natural light in. Bottled water was provided everyday, and there was also a kettle to boil water.Towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer were also provided in the private room. I enjoyed the communal areas, too. They are very comfortable and the staff are helpful. My only complaint is that the bathroom had a strong smell, from the plumbing I assume, but I think this is fairly common for old buildings in the hutongs.

Worst hostel I’ve even been in my life! Staff is extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional, rooms are dirty as well as beds and bedsheets (disgusting!). Only two toilets in the entire hostel, one of which was broken and the other one was dirty, smelly and disgusting. Showers are old and dirty. Pictures are from a decade ago, do not trust them. The terrace belongs to the bar, not the hostel, which closes around 9-10PMI’d strongly suggest to not stay here unless completely desperate and every other hotel, B&B, guest house, hostel and alike in the radius of 500 miles are fully booked! You can find way better options in the area
