The food was great. I mean the server asked how I wanted to the burger cooked, I said pink and it came like that. So many restaurants now a days overcook the burgers. There is an open kitchen and everything look organized and clean. I seafood linguini was really fresh and my aunt liked it. The brownie was also quite delicious. I would come back! The bathrooms were very clean and I was impressed with how organized everything seemed.

It is very enjoyable for me and my family every time we go here. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and we haven't had to wait very long to be seated during any of our dining experiencs their. The view of the ocean and surrounding beach is fantastic, and the atmosphere and esthetic are energetic and feel very contemporary. Check out the pictures of the food, i think those pictures speak volumes about this dining experience.

We recently lunched here while vacationing in the area and enjoyed it! Realized it was a local chain the following day when we took a drive and noticed several other locations along the way! Lively atmosphere— would be great for families. They have a large patio overlooking the Pacific that was unfortunately full when we arrived so we took a table inside.

This was one of the better restaurants we dined at during our stay at Pacific City. The staff were very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The salmon, spicy burger, and the chicken piccata were flavorful. However, our biggest complaint was that the food was extremely pricy. Our three entrees costed 100$. Though the food was tasty, it was not worth the price.

We waited briefly to dine inside. It was longer for a table outside with an ocean view. Our server was excellent. He came immediately and took our order. I ordered the hamburger. The crispy onions were the best ingredient however It was not worth $22. My husband ordered fish and chips. The highlight was the coconut pineapple coleslaw. The French fries were basic and the cod were sized like x large chicken nuggets. A disappointed for $26. I really didn't like the unisex bathrooms but I guess I'm old fashioned. Beautiful location but you pay for it.

Google
Gorgeous property overlooking the ocean with nice outside patio and inside seating. No wait, and service was quick. Caesar Salad was just cut up lettuce with yucky dressing. Did not match the quality of the venue. Clam chowder is the thick style that doesn’t taste fresh; you’d think you’re in a Dennys. Most people seemed to be having a great time because it’s such an excellent spot.

Absolutely love the food from here. Highly recommend and try their draft soda and beers as well. A must stop for me every time I drive to Pacific City

TAKE OUT EXPERIENCE: If the outside tables had umbrellas I probably wouldn't be making this review. We came in with our dog and since it was such a hot day on the patio we ended up ordering takeout. We got the fish&chips, a beer and a cider. When we got back to our hotel we realized that they didn't even include cole slaw or tarter sauce. The photo says it all. Very disappointed after spending $65, especially after reading their good reviews.

Yelp
My first visit to the Pacific City location was for a Mug Club event. The beer introduced is my new favorite (Abides) along with yummy treats. The view of a wintry ocean as the fog came in was dramatic and the Mug Club members friendly. I learned that the Mug Club steins from Siletz Bay are bigger than those from Pacific City. So I enjoyed picking out my Lincoln City locals that had driven north for the event. You can not beat the view and atmosphere of Pelican Brewery perched on the shores of Siletz Bay. The sunsets are spectacular but even on a wintry rainy day the space is open and warm. Mug Club members enjoy many perks such as discounts and special events.

Yelp
I normally pass on the Pelican because it's always busy when we are in the area on the weekend. This time we were there on Friday and no wait to get in. We missed the lunch rush- tables still needed to be bussed. We lucked out and got an indoor table for seven next to the windows looking out at the beach. Service was a lot quicker than I thought it would take and the food was better than I anticipated. Food came out hot. Got the fish and chips, clam chowder, and a burger. The fish was moist and crisp. The clam chowder was hot and flavorful. The burger was huge. We couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The fries had a crunch, not soggy. The side salad that came with the burger was big. Our server was great. She checked on us multiple times. Happy with our experience. Would go back. Beer and souvenirs are sold in the lobby. Paid parking is available next to the restaurant. Or you can park in the no fee lot across the street, diagonal, behind the pizza place. After your meal take time to walk the beach in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
My wife and I took to a late dinner at Pelican brewing. We walked in and gave our number and waiting about 20 minutes to get seated. The decor was warm and very coastal. My wife and I each had an adult beverage. I ordered the clam chowder and it arrived in minutes. The chowder is second to none. After my wife and I finished it, within 10 minutes our main course arrived. She had the chicken and I the fish and chips. Overall it was ok. The chicken was very lemon forward. The fish (cod) was fresh and juicy but I didn't care for the batter. They call it beer batter but it didn't meet my expectations. The service was on point and after leaving a modest tip, we walked away spending just under $100 for the 2 of us. Overall we've had better and worse. I don't think the quality of the entrees deserved the price but the chowder is worth going back for.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing. We ate here multiple times. Both take out and ate in the restaurant. Beautiful view of the beach and ocean.

Yelp
Came here early for dinner on Thanksgiving day. Wasn't that busy and I sat at the bar. Since it was Thanksgiving I went with their special and it was pretty good. The turkey itself wasn't dry and had a pretty good texture. Cranberry sauce was good and I liked the gravy. Mashed potatoes were standard. Green beans felt a little overcooked but weren't bad. It was just a little expensive for what was served.

Yelp
Pelican Brewing, arguably one of the better restaurants on this particular part of the Oregon Coast. As such, the lines are quite long, and here begins the story of our dinner Friday night. I will start this story with the fact there were 9 of us, and understandably we knew that would add to our wait times. That said, we put our names in at 7:15 pm, and were told the wait would be 45-75 minutes. Somewhat as expected, and for the first 75 minutes we were just hanging out, having a good time, waiting to be seated. We checked a few times on the status, and around the 60 minute mark they told us it would be 10 minutes. After another 15 minutes, we checked back, and they said another 5 minutes. We then watched another group of 7 be seated before us after being told we were up next. All in all, it ended up being a total of 95 minutes. Again, it was a Friday night and we were a big group, but I always struggle with the underestimated wait times. All of that said, they comped our first round of beers for the trouble, which was a stellar move - thank you Pelican! The food was good, and the Tsunami burger and fries hit the spot. The moral of this story is - Pelican is a POPULAR spot. If you have a group, be prepared to wait. But it's always fun, so I'd say it's worth it.

Yelp
The prices are ridiculous, but I must say, a table on the outside patio and the cool ocean breeze has you forgiving them for that. It was the perfect day, the haystack was just striking, no clouds around it. Our server Sean was a rockstar. He worked his tables like no one we've seen. It was super busy, but he made it look effortless. We ordered the Pelican Extra beer, very good. The cheese flatbread was good sized, cheesy and a nice crust but light on the tomato sauce and herbs. The fish and chips were very good, nice sized portion with a great beer and panko batter.

Yelp
Location is beautiful - on a clear day. Not so great when it's cloudy (not their fault). There is an outdoor patio where you can bring your well-behaved pups, and the servers seem used to moving in and around them. There isn't a ton of places to eat right by the boardwalk and beach at this part of Pacific City, so you're a bit of a captive audience, and the prices reflect that. If you still want to complain about prices (because I can't help myself), consider going further south and cross the river (heading back north) and there are a lot more options. You aren't locked in to just this option. HOWEVER: the beer is very VERY good. Servers were kind and attentive, patient while we figured out what we wanted. Back to price complaining: $20+ for a burger? A veggie (black bean patty) burger? $37 for crab mac and cheese? $25 for fish and chips?! We were just surprised at the prices for full meals. Fish and chips was OK, a bit over cooked, and skimpy fries. Veggie burger was large, but we couldn't get over the price. Asked the wait staff why it was so expensive, she shrugged and said, "the view?" (it was cloudy) IF you don't want to spend $35+ per person for a meal (including beer + tip), I would actually recommend getting the pretzels (you get two large pretzels with cheese), and some beers. Much more economical, and you'll still be full. Also probably the oyster shooters - because they're pretty fresh (but $4 each)

Yelp
This place is popular because of the views, and the food actually matches up to the location. We tried several of their sandwiches and flatbreads - all great. Last Saturday 8/31, the wait for a table was so long, we decided to order from the takeout window. We over ordered so when we were done we packed up everything into a bag. A couple of us went to the restroom, and the remaining people left our leftovers unattended, which were promptly thrown away by the staff. We asked a manager if we could recover our bag from the garbage and she said she was not going to give us the bag from the garbage- she would have the kitchen remake what was in the bag. About 10 minutes later we had our "new" leftovers brought cheerfully by the manager whose name I failed to catch. She also refused a cash tip. This place is a class act! Highly recommend.

Yelp
The views alone from this brew spot make it worthy of stopping by for a pint! From almost any seat you can see the coast and sites of cape Kiwanda. I went with the fried cod and chips with coleslaw. It came out super quick and tasted really fresh. The small portion of the cod for nearly $25 was the only downfall. The fries were hot and plentiful. We also tried the marion berry dessert which was small but very rich so you only needed a few bites. Would stop by again for friendly staff, brews, and views!

Yelp
Nice server; fast service mid afternoon; only ten min wait for outdoor patio seating on a beautiful sunny day. Fish and chips (not pictured but you'll see lots of other pics on yelp) was good! One of best on the coast. (We tried three separate places) Pretzel was fried and cheese was meh; nothing great about either but we just finished a hot six mile hike and were hungry hence plate being virtually empty. (FYI Rogue brewery pretzel in Astoria mmmmmmmmmm!!) I would not get this again here. I had the coastal shrimp bowl; real nice! Whatever that slaw like pile was at the top of my bowl in my attached pic: heaven! Shrimp were just right too. Nice place to be on a pretty day for quick tasty meal!

Yelp
We were in Pacific City to visit the Oregon coast. We were seated inside right away with a party of 3. Ambiance is like a seaside casual brewery. Service was fine, but nothing special. - Clam chowder (4.5/5): This was super creamy, delicious, great flavor overall. - Seafood linguine (4/5): Lightly seasoned, not overpowering. Seafood was fresh, went well with the pasta. - Backyard BBQ burger (4.5/5): This was so yummy. Burger had lots going on but was very tasty. Onion straws were the perfect crunch, and just the right amount of sauce. I loved the fries too; they were skinny and crispy, so good.

Yelp
Nice menu with basic pub food. But add in their view and it really something special. We enjoyed fish & chips, and the soup (clam chowder) and salad (Caesar salad) combination. Took our drinks outside for a great sunset show.

Yelp
Amazing views, pretty good beer, and good but overpriced food. Like a lot of other reviewers, this is what I've found at pelican brewing. This time around, I made it for happy hour. If I could only get happy hour here, it would be 5 stars easily. The food on the happy hour menu remains pretty solid, like a brewpub cheeseburger, 2 dollar oyster shooters, 7 dollar fish (singular) and chips, 4-5 dollar salads. But the highlight is the 5 dollar pints to me. The service has always been friendly here as well. Also, here's a little advice for the reviewers freaking out about the bathrooms: if you're really struggling how to explain an all-gender bathroom to your kid, engage the two brain cells you have and say the sentence "it's like the bathroom at home."

Yelp
Great food with amazing view! Ordered locally made bratwurst with bacon sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Amazing and delicious plate! Sauerkraut not salty and delicious. Brats with balanced flavor and delicious. Oyster shots tasted fresh, clean and superb! The burger was tasty and delicious. House made root beer - i finished 2 glasses - it was worth it! Service could be better but overall experience was positive..

Yelp
First time at Pelican in Pacific City. The location overlooking the beach with a bunch of outside seating. The building and inside restaurant looked great. It was a beautiful day and we sat at a table outside. There's a sand area for kids to play in and a great view of the ocean. I'm a fan of Pelican Brewing and enjoyed a few of their beers. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We ordered the poke and chicken wings. The poke was ok, wasn't bad but didn't taste fresh. The wings were also only ok. The price on the mediocre food was way overpriced. The great beer, overpriced mediocre food and great very seem a solid 4 stars. I'd come here again but only have beer and enjoy the sights.

Josh J.

Yelp
Overpriced and garbage. Burnt Ends appetizer was dry, chewy, gristle. Mac N Cheese had no cheese. Bland cream and noodles. Flat bread is packaged bread and cheese. Dry and bland Asked for some marinara to dip the flatbread in and gave us a cup of canned tomato sauce dumped in a cup. Tourist trap. Avoid.

Yelp
My husband and I visited over Presidents Day weekend. Dropped in for a late dinner. We were seated quickly (I had a knee scooter, and they were very accommodating). We waited a while before our server arrived. Our drinks came quickly, my husband had a beer and I had wine. The pour was generous. Our food was great. Salmon Poke and Steamed Clams as an appetizer, and clam chowder and steak for the main course. My husband was offered a second drink quickly, while I was not. We had to flag down a server. Overall it was a nice dinner, good ambience, and would go again!

Yelp
Oh...my...GOODNESS!!! This place is AMAZING!!! We saw pictures of the calamari online and had to try it, and it did not disappoint! We also had the tri-tip flatbread, and it was equally magnificent. It is not inexpensive (what is anymore?), but it is so well worth it. We will be back again, for sure!!!

Yelp
Pelican Brewing has been a classic staple beer for many years. We got a bunch of barrel aged bottles and a few of their core beers, which always made me want to visit. Photos of the Pacific City location made it look like a must-visit so we went out of our way on a recent road trip to visit. Pacific City in general feels more touristy, with lots of roadside shopping and places to stay. The Pacific City location of Pelican Brewing kind of felt the same way; a touristy restaurant and bar more than a love of the beer they're known for. Regardless we had a great stop as we were all hungry and thirsty. When you enter, the host area doubles as their merchandise store, which is packed. Going into the main restaurant area, a beautiful old wood bar is to the left; table seating is everywhere else including a large outdoor seating area. It was freezing raining the day we were there, but still a few brave souls were outside. We opted for a table by the windows overlooking the ocean; even though it was cloudy and gray it was still a beautiful view. The beer menu is plentiful, one thing that irked me was not having the option of flights. They had one fixed flight of 8 of their core beers, which we still shared and enjoyed. But all the good stuff, including brewery only selections, are only available in full pints making it hard to drink a bunch of different beers. The food was delicious with big portions, but felt overpriced here versus everywhere else in Oregon we ate. Our server was excellent - super friendly and even gave me a full taster of a couple beers I really wanted to try but couldn't stomach a full pint. I would recommend coming here if you're a beer fan, just be aware of the little issues that detract this from being a must-visit place.

Yelp
Service was good, ambiance what you would expect by the water. Food was solid bar food. Burger was good, crab Mac and cheese was enjoyed ( $35?!) pretzel and cheese great!

Yelp
"All gender" restroom, high prices that will make your jaw drop, and some of the slowest, most indifferent customer service I've seen in a long time! That's okay, we'll get our own highchair we asked for. Never again.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Beer great. Location great. Service great. Food good, but overpriced. A Saturday and there are lots of people but it's roomy and plenty of seating inside and seating outside. Outside seating is not covered, so you want to come on a fair weather day. Love that the beach is close and plenty of parking. Great selection of beers and the beer menu does change a little. Great place for groups for a quick drink. Food is good but I tend to not spend over $20 for a burger. Or anything if it's not a fancy place. Servers were quick and nice and now waiting. Right on it. I will come back.

Yelp
The clam chowder was excellent . The sampler of beers was really fun and interesting . Service was friendly and fast. Its a really busy restaurant. I could see it being very noisy when packed . A little on the high side price wise .

Yelp
I don't know when a good time of the day to go is because it's always a zoo and wait times can be long for sure. Luckily it's open bar so if you're lucky you'll get a seat that way! I'd say maybe any day but the weekends is good everyone's there on a weekend. Our server was really nice and he was making a lot of conversation. The ambience is your beach brewery for sure it's nice if you can get a window that you can see the ocean and beach. We ordered the lobster Mac, but we felt like it was more pasta and less lobster. For the price I felt like was paying for the lobster but barely got any. The other dish we got was a poke dish which was delicious and would eat again! I suppose my 4 stars is because the price overall feels too spendy. But it's a good spot in town so it's worth it to occasionally go in. A lot of people have a problem with the gender neutral bathroom but that doesn't bother me. Would come back and would love to get in on a day it's not crazy busy!

Yelp
Had a great experience here on a Saturday afternoon. Stopped in while on the Three Cape Scenic Loop drive for a drink and a snack. Our waiter Asher provided great service with a welcoming and genuine attitude. The staff was engaged and kept a steady pace at getting tables served and moving along without ever feeling like they were rushing anyone out. The beer hit the spot and the food was perfectly timed from order to delivery and came out hot and delicious. It was a refreshing restaurant experience and much appreciated.

Zan F.

Yelp
Amazing food, especially the Crispy Coastal Shrimp Bowl. The waiter recommended we get the sauce on the side which was a great tip! Keeps the shrimp crispy. It was a really nice balance of flavors, loved the pickled veg. Fish and chips was good but not mind blowing, very thin and crispy crust. Excellent fries and coleslaw

Yelp
My husband and I arrived in Pacific City on Good Friday (Easter weekend), checked into our hotel and promptly headed next door to Pelican Brewing to grab dinner. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant and seated right away at a high top with a great view of the water. The atmosphere is super casual, easy and the bar was packed! We were able to order and get our food just before the Friday evening rush. We ordered a large Cesar salad, calamari, fries and the crusted salmon with broccolini and rice. Everything tasted great and the salmon was perfectly cooked. The beer battered fries were crispy, salty and fried to perfection - super tasty! And we love their spin on calamari with the fried banana peppers. Our server was kind and attentive & overall we had a good experience.

Yelp
Overall a nice first experience. Was there with a larger party and they were easily able to accommodate our large order. Things came out quickly and the plates were orderly and everything tasted fresh. I had the BBQ burger and it was cooked exactly how I like it and the fries were good as well. I feel like having a restaurant like this is a necessity in this small town because of how few restaurants there were. Glad Pelican's was open on Monday. Definitely a spot I would recommend when your traveling with family or friends along the Coast.

Yelp
We went out to Pacific City to watch the sunset and decided to eat at the brewery . It was quite enjoyable and I would definitely go back . We ordered the clam chowder to split . It was creamy , big chunks of clam and potato , very savory . Yum. Then each of had a burger . I had the Brewpub Cheese Burger , my husband had the Backyard BBQ Burger both us of had fries , I asked for ranch for dipping . Both were very delicious . The bun was perfection . The burger meat was tasty I had mine medium rare , the crispy onions on the burgers were a great addition . I highly recommend the ranch dressing to dip or on a salad . It had a bit of tang to it which hinted at a tartar sauce but was so totally yummy they should bottle and sell it . The fries were very very good . Just the right amount of crisp not greasy in any way . We each had a root beer , had a nice bite to it . Initially though perhaps a little flat , but did have fizz to it . I appreciated that later on in the meal not to have too much carbonation . We each tried a beer - Head Out Hef and Beak Breaker Hazy both were very drinkable . I like citrusy and the BBH did not disappoint . The ambiance was pleasant , the sunset is viewable from much of the interior . Our waitstaff guy was very good - friendly and attentive without being too much on either , just right . So I'm ending my review to say I would plan a return trip , perhaps during the happy hour to take advantage of the menu deals , but nonetheless I think this is a great spot to go and enjoy food and outdoors .

Yelp
With very limited option in this area we decided to enjoy the sun and grab a burger on the back patio. Burger was good but not $23 good! With the burger being one of the cheapest items on the menu. Prices are insane!

Yelp
Came here Monday, Presidents' Day and sat at the bar around 3pm, Stephanie was our bartender and she was great, knowledgeable of the menu, attentive, and kind. The views are spectacular of the beach, beers are great, and the gender neutral bathroom is a great added touch. Love happy hour!
google avatar

Bill O.

Yelp
The beers and the outdoor patio is really the main reason you want to go here. huge selection of different styles of beer and the patio has an awesome view of chief Kawanda rock as well as excellent sunset views. Our clam chowder arrived lukewarm, and we sent it back for a reheat, and it came back warmer, but not exactly hot. The white staff is fine.

Yelp
Our crew of friends typically pay a visit to the parents' beach house once every year or two. We eat at least once at the this brewery during our stay. Both the beach and parking were particularly empty this day. We had the calamari and onions rings to start as appetizers. Texture and flavor were good. They were piping hot. Spicy burger was great. It was cooked correctly to my request. The toppings were great additions to the build of the burger. It just wasn't as spicy as I hoped. And I wish I could comment on the clam chowder but my daughter ate it all. The kids' plates were accidentally forgotten but the server quickly amended that and the food was delayed by only a few minutes. Server was very funny and responsive. He did well for a large group like ours. Lastly, we had never sat in the back room before but it was warm and spacious. There was a gorgeous view of the beach too. Perk: There is only one bathroom for patrons but all the stalls are individually locked stalls. The walls are beautifully painted to look like you're by the ocean. The sinks were what impressed me the most. The spout consists of stainless steel and there are drying nozzles on both sides of every single spout. Super fancy!

Yelp
Pelican Brewing is one of my top places to eat and enjoy the Oregon coast. The beverage options are great and will cater to everyone in your group: plenty of light beers, IPAs, a fruited beer, wine, cocktails, and NA options. And you can't go wrong with any of the food choices. The fish and chips are Pelican's speciality, but it's clear that everyone is clearing their plates and loving the flavors and freshness regardless of the dish. The staff are super friendly and helpful with whatever you need. And if all of that isn't enough for you to visit, the view on the back porch is pretty great too!

Yelp
My partner and I went during Thursday lunch and were seated right away! The food was a 10/10, the atmosphere is great, and the service was very friendly.

Yelp
It is so much about the location! There are a few things that I might not normally put up with, such as an extremely long wait (about an hour). However, there are some chairs and even some picnic style tables in the back, outside, so if the weather is decent, you have beautiful views of the ocean, beautiful rock formations, a huge sand hill that people are climbing, and general people-watching. You can get a drink while you wait, and enjoy the surroundings. We drove a couple hours from Woodburn, and were just checking out the area, so we were not in a hurry, and loved seeing the ocean. Our waiter was very calm, for it being a quite busy destination, which put you at ease. After seeing several people drinking beers, and looking at their list, the waiter suggested the Kiwanda Cream Ale. It was excellent. Interestingly, when I got home and met with a client, she also said she had the Kiwanda Cream Ale and loved it, and wanted to go back for that. For lunch, I had the Pale Malt Crusted Salmon-Wild caught PNW Salmon served with cranberry rice and seasonal vegetables. Topped with Hazestack orange beer sauce and scallions. It was $40, so on the pricey side. But for a beautiful day out enjoying the ocean, sitting outside to eat, it was different and worth it.

Yelp
Stoping in on a Sunday evening probably isn't the best idea, but, we did it anyway. The wait for a table outside on the back patio at about 5pm was over 1.5 hours! So, we waited for a table inside. Ended up with the first table at the back at the restaurant. Not great, but, it was at least comfortable. Doesn't seem like they take reservations but they will take your phone number and text you when the table is ready. We had a couple beers that included the Outcider and the Tsunami Stout. Both were good. The cider was VERY tart. Made me pucker a bit when I tried it. The stout was good but not really "stout" enough. It was a bit sharp and I prefer them a bit creamier. The Bacon Brie Hazelnut flatbread pizza was awesome! There was a lot of honey on it and no wet naps so be prepared to be sticky. That being said, it was cooked well and had giant melted pieces of brie on it. Heated up well the next day as well. The Backyard BBQ burger was good as well. The Tillamook cheddar and the Tsunami Stout bacon jam really made it awesome. That heated up well the next day too. It really had a great, almost sweet, flavor. The fries were good. Beer-battered fries are often a bit too crispy. These were nice and soft but had just a bit of firmness to them. Overall, pretty good. We had the house-made ranch and ketchup with them as well. The ranch was a bit too runny for my tastes but had a good flavor. The waiter was great! Very attentive. However, he thought the big rock outside was Haystack and it's very much not. That's up in Cannon Beach. This rock is on Google Maps and is Chief Kiawanda Rock.

Yelp
Great service and food even while it's busy. Everything was fresh. Had Clam Chowder, Cesar Salad, Crab ravioli. Fantastic

Yelp
Avoid the Pelican Brewery in Pacific City (Oregon) at ALL costs. Great view that you pay for. Two Clam chowders and a shared calamari appetizer plus one beer and shared desert added up. The All Ages, All Gender bathroom is a DEAL BREAKER. I am not sending my mother or grandmother in there. Will not be back.

Yelp
Yikes! Wanted to enjoy a nice family dinner, took my son to the bathroom and was so confused. What the heck is this "all gender" bathroom nonsense. I did not think I would have to explain to my son why everyone is all in the same bathroom. He was confused as was I. Confusing and disturbing to say the least. The fact that they spent money and went out of their way to change and upgrade only the bathroom in this place is beyond. Wanted to leave right then, if my son didn't have to eat and we not have already ordered, I was ready to walk right out and not give a dollar of my hard earned money to such a cringe business. Absolutely will not be returning. And will be letting everyone I know to not go here either. Food was nothing special, will not be missing anything here.

Yelp
Traditional brew pub food with some creative menu options thrown in, including gluten free. Casual, beach vibe. Great views. Parking on a Saturday was a challenge, and service was on the slow side, so bring your patience on a weekend.

Yelp
The best Calamari in USA.. We've tried the fried Calamari is so many restaurants that we've been going to, but nothing beats the one at Pelican.. The unique flavour and mix Love it.. and another favourite is their Spicy Burger and the Tsunami Burger.. just the best ones in town! Their service is always good, we love this place for the vibe, just by the seaside, sipping our beers and watching the waves crashing in.. it's a very nice spot for Summer definitely, regardless we love visiting in other seasons as well!

Yelp
1. Food: my family and I had burgers and fries and a berry buckle thing. It tasted fine. But when we left and got back to the house we were all in pain. Diahrrea was not on the menu. But it was for us. 2. Ambiance: Loud. Music too loud, acoustics too loud. I swear I'm not a grump but it really is unpleasantly loud. The music kept fluctuating between bursts of WAY too loud and just too loud. 3. Service: Finally a positive. Our waiter was super nice and efficient. That's the one star.

Yelp
Maybe things have changed recently but I really liked their food, despite the subpar reviews. Might have helped that we went on a weekday. Though it was still lively, it's definitely not a 2 hr wait like on the weekends. Their Clam Chowder was super creamy and full of clam. We got it as part of the Soup & Salad Special. For the salad, you get a choice of House or Ceasar. We went with House and added chicken. The chicken was super tender and moist eventhough it was breast. The greens were fresh and I surprisingly enjoyed their cranberry that were soft rather than dried and chewy. The flavors of everything went really well together, tied by the Italian Vingerette. The Calamari was freshly made, making the outside crispy and light. The calamari itself also had a great texture and chew. Their location is also great, right on the beachfront in Pacific City. I'd say that their prices were a bit outrageous, $8 for extra chicken! But their food was good so keep that in mind if you want to give them a try.

Yelp
How do you F up fries??? I ordered fish and chips. It was extremely overpriced and very disappointing. For some reason I assumed a place right on the water would have access to fresh fish. I assumed wrong. The fries were an inedible soggy mess. The fish looked and tasted pretty similar to what you'd get in a McDonald's McFish sandwich. If I could give zero stars I would. Yuck!!!
