Beautiful view from the pool and dining area. The driveway to the area is quite steep and difficult to walk. The food and service were great. I ordered a lobster and calamari sandwich and they were out of the squid so they (asked and) substituted shrimp. All was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the bread was delicious and the fries were just the right crispness. A full bar and fresh juices rounded out the meal.

Wonderful! Absolutely charming, rustic, clean and well maintained. Not sure where some of the people who wrote these negative reviews actually stayed because it doesn't sound like the same place we just returned from. Do not leave without trying the Cascade restaurant and the infinity pool! About a five minute walk downhill to the beaches. Take a cab home though, $5 well spent. Highly highly recommended.

Absolutely BRILLIANT. I booked for 3 nights and eventually changed my future plans and stayed for 8. What a lovely place! I started in Roble apartment which had a lovely terrace with sea view, and the apartment itself was so comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The wifi was terrific as every apartment has its own device. The pool was lovely too. I had to switch to Limon partway through my extended stay as Roble was booked, which was a bit cheaper but also terrific, with a garden and side sea view. I didn't want to leave and, as I sit in Playa Maderas, wish I hadn't! The staff were ALL excellent, from security staff and the girls who cleaned the rooms or gave me the room keys to Eliezer who handled a zillion questions from me promptly and professionally via WhatsApp before and during my stay. And in English, which I appreciated as my Spanish is limited. The accommodation is up a series of steps and far enough from town that you've no idea it's a party town below. Yet numerous great eating venues are only a few minutes' walk away, as is the market if you want to to cook in the apartment. It's the nicest place I've stayed in my 4 weeks in Nicaragua and one I'd love to revisit.

Beautiful spacious casas with fantastic views. A lot of walking with many stairs . Some of the brick steps need attention but overall I always enjoy my stay here. Very good restaurant at the lower end of the resort. It was open Thursday-Sunday in January

We got a pretty bad experience here. The food was awful and the BBQ Korean chicken wasn’t really authentic and in fact, we had the drop of juice from raw chicken meat. The staff had a bad attitude, specially the waiters weren’t really friendly. Nevertheless, the view is still great. But they have been many changes ever since they changed ownership of the business. So do I recommend you to go there? Well if u want a nice view of the bay, then go there but the service and the food is no longer good.

Beautiful place, family friendly! The location is on a hill so you have to work a little and walk a little but the view is worth it and the private environment is so nice and quiet. Just a block from the entrance is the town square/park in one direction and the market a block in the other direction. The location really can’t be beat. The staff does a great job with being bilingual- they are much better than we are! I really appreciated the reliable power and Wifi as we work remotely and need internet to run our business. We would definitely come back.

Resort is at the up on the hill, get views but it has its down point, 1. Hotel offers nothing but sleeping accommodation, there is nothing to do at the hotel. 2. I have been here 3 days and 1 of the restaurants they offer has been closed. 3. We were put in the back of the property and you need to get picked up and dropped off. 4. The shuttle service is spotty, some times they get you and times you have to wait 15 min for a ride. 5. The breakfast is poor, cold food when it arrives and you could find better choices on the outside. 6. Nice rooms but it comes with its ups and downs. 7. Half the staff do no speak English, 8. Would I stay here again, answer no there are better choices if you want to get out and about. To many stairs and they have nothing to offer but free rides to hour room. No hotel entertainment, nothing to do on your down time.

Came for dinner we had steak and lobster and shrimp with greens along with tempura shrimp as an appetizer. Everything was seasoned exceptionally well from the salad to the steak which we could cut with a butter knife finished off with coffee and baileys along with cheese cake and toffee cake really delicious wouldn't hesitate in recommending to anyone yummy... we were driven to front entrance steep road up to restaurant
