Pelican Reef Villas Resort

Our stay at Pelican Reef was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcomed and cared for. The staff here are truly some of the kindest people I’ve ever met! The entire atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed, with stunning views of the ocean. |The food was beyond amazing, honestly some of the best meals I’ve ever had, and every dinner was such a different and fun experience. You can plan all of your adventures through Pelican Reef which made it so easy! We went snorkeling, swimming with sharks, fishing, explored beautiful spots around the island, and everything was organized so seamlessly! |If you’re looking for a place that feels like paradise but still has that personal, home-like warmth, Pelican Reef is it! I can’t recommend it enough!!!

We loved our stay here. The villa was very clean, comfortable, and spacious, and it was SO helpful having a washer/dryer and a full kitchen (with tupperware!). Tris was the absolute best in helping us secure restaurant, excursion, and golf cart reservations before we arrived, answering one million questions while we were there, and giving us additional food and activity recos. PRV was a very peaceful property, and we really enjoyed being able to walk out onto the dock and go snorkeling or just relax on the lounge chairs. Breakfast was included AND delicious, so we never felt the need to go anywhere else. Next time I'll upgrade to an ocean view and a 3BR so our teens can each have their own space (although the provided air mattress was helpful), but it was perfectly fine for our first trip there. The entire staff was wonderful, and knew us, our kids, and our room number from the moment we walked in. We hope to return to Ambergris Caye someday soon, and we will definitely stay here again. Things to note: --Def get a golf cart! You will want the autonomy --The resort is at the southern end of the caye, and the road is very bumpy --Bring GOOD bug spray. The mosquitos were less annoying than when we were in the jungle, but the sand flies were on a mission --The snorkel area at the end of the dock is cool but on the smaller side, so if you want self-guided snorkeling, make sure you look up some other areas on the island as well

We had a 2 bedroom condo on the first floor. It was a wonderful place to stay but what really made it was the staff. Tristan was amazing - booked dinners, transportation, diving and general travel advice. Carlos and Enrique were great bartenders and super friendly. The breakfast and lunch at the resort were very good - small menu but great quality. You really need to have a golf cart if you're staying at this location - it's' too far to walk into town. Our favorite restaurants were Elvie's Kitchen, The Black Orchid, and La Palmilla in that order. The Hula bar was great for drinks and snacks and the staff there was super friendly. Also, don't miss the crab races at the Nauti Crab - it was hilarious. Belize is beautiful and everyone there was so nice.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable and relaxing week at Pelican Reef Villas. All facilities were clean and well-maintained. The pool was clean and inviting. The bed in our unit was extremely comfortable. The beach was spotless, with plenty of comfortable loungers and hammocks and shade if you wanted it. We got massages on the beach, be sure to ask for Juliana -- amazing. Breakfasts were included in our package, and all were excellent. Drinks were not included, but were also excellent. All the staff are happy to go out of their way for you, from the bar to activities to restaurant recommendations/reservations. Special shouts out to Enrique, Daniel, Tyreek, and especially Tristian. We did a day trip to snorkel at Mexican Rocks and Shark Ray City -- just as good if not better than Hol Chan. We also snorkeled right off the dock and saw nice fish.||One of our bags fell off our golf cart on the way to the airport. We immediately retraced our route, but could not find the bag and wrote it off. A good samaritan found the bag and returned it to Pelican Reef Villas, a testament to the great nature of the people of Belize. Tristian worked tirelessly to get our bag back to us in the US, which was no small feat, as no delivery companies serve Ambergris Caye. He personally oversaw transport to the DHL office on the mainland.||All in all, we would not hesitate to visit Pelican Reef Villas again!

Our beachside lodging was spacious, provided the amenities we wanted and many we didn't consider using since we planned to eat out! Breakfast was more than adequate and complimentary. Poolside bar provided great service and cocktails. |Trist went above and beyond typical service with arranging reservations for dinner and activities. The location was idyllic, peaceful and quiet. The pool provided a refreshing cool respite after kayaking and ocean swimming. Will definitely return to create more unbelizable memories and hopefully will share our time with family who wish to accompany us.

If you have any hesitation booking Pelican Reef - please feel rest assured that you’re making the right decision in choosing them for your stay. I came with family and friends, making a total of 8 of us, and they treated every single person as family. From the friendliest staff, to delicious food and of course, the breathtaking views, this is the best place to stay on the island. A quick 15 minute trek out of the city is worth it - a little tranquility with a magazine-quality beach front. I can’t recommend enough.

PRV is the absolutely best location on the island for peace and relaxation. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your every need is attended to and in the most special way. Review is stunning and condo facilities are top notch. Food and drink is yummy and wonderful. Highly recommend.
