Beautiful (more so on the outside than the inside). It’s worth seeing and not overpriced (£5/person), don’t need a specific hour/slot booked to enter. Deducting 2 stars because they are OVERstaffed - think too many ladies who haven’t had any action in forever: frustrated and yelling at tourists to shut the door. Suppose whoever runs the place is too cheap to turn on the heating so it is COLD inside. Here is a tip: fire 3 frustrated women who do nothing anyway and place a couple radiators inside. Oh, some of the employees were eating sunflower seeds inside and talking about how they have to hit a 40 hour/week target or whatever. Pathetic.

A very good castle, most of the rooms are visitable and very interesting + history worth. The staff are very helpful and there are guides for different languages, spanish, romanian and english. Overall recommended

Lovely art nouveau rooms and furniture, pales in comparison to Peleş castle though. If art nouveau is not your thing then not really a stop you need to make. Especially if you're battling hoards of people throughout the entire visit

It's small, about 10 rooms and you are not allowed to enter in any of them except for one. There was also some abstract art downstairs, which we couldn't really see because, again, you are not allowed to get near. Thy have written guides in Romanian and English and also in a few other languages by scanning the QR code of the room.

Very underrated! I wasn't expecting the castle to be this big! It is less flooded with people than the Peles and the experience is as stunning! I recommend.

This is an absolute jewel box of a historic site, just chock full of exquisite holdings! Pelisor may be smaller, but it is not to be missed when visiting Peles! It’s an intimate look at the family, their interest, and how they lived with each other - and holds an amazing collection as well. (The gold room!) Well worth 45 minutes of your time! Also, some have complained about the scaffolding at both sites. Please understand this is much needed work to restore damage done by time and neglect. As I’ve traveled across Romania, I’m so impressed with how much restoration is being done at museums and historic sites, it’s great to see a country really supporting its cultural heritage. Based on various reviews, I opted to visit here first, entering right at 9:15. (Check opening times as they vary.) I booked an 11-12:45 ticket at Peles, and arrived there about 10:30. Decided to go ahead and get in line, waited 35 minutes to get in (the line was three times as long when I exited), and was in by 11:05. I still had to watch several huge tour groups arrive and be let in immediately, but I think the timing still got me through faster.

Castelul Pelișor is a charming and intimate royal residence, built at the end of the 19th century by King Carol I for his nephew, King Ferdinand, and Queen Marie. Unlike the grandeur of Peleș Castle, it has a personal and cozy atmosphere, with striking Art Nouveau architecture and interiors inspired by Queen Marie’s artistic vision. Highlights include the famous ‘Golden Room,’ richly decorated with symbolic motifs. The entrance fee is 30 lei, and you get to see a lot for this price, making it excellent value. Surrounded by the serene forests of Sinaia, the castle offers a fascinating glimpse into Romania’s royal history.
