"Afternoon "Cortado" or Nightcap in Historic Yungay On a typical corner in historic Barrio Yungay, Boulevard Lavaud, colloquially known as Peluquería Francesa, is a quirky café-restobar taking you back to another era. Sitting above the old barber shop, where older men in the "barrio" still come to have a cut and shave, the restaurant is flanked with old photos, mirrors, and a myriad of antiques. Patrons roll in for afternoon coffee and cake or a light lunch. In the evening, the place fills up as a gathering spot for cocktails and snacks. Wonderful place!
My husband had his haircut at the barber shop and had a great experience- he turned up without an appointment when the place had just opened at 10am and he was treated with kindness and perfect service. The haircut was on point too 👌🏻
We loved the restaurant vibe so returned for dinner that evening and the food was excellent. The cocktails were fantastic, made fresh to order.
Would throughly recommend anyone wanting a real treat for a reasonable price- some of the best food on our 2 week adventure of Chile was had here!

Really nice ambiance restaurant. The service was ok, the server was somewhat rude, Chilean typical service. We only took appetizers and coffee, a stop before we got to the plaza de Armas. All enjoyed the place.

We came by for lunch on a Saturday at 12 and it was surprisingly empty. My friend is gluten-free and they did an amazing job at being accommodating. We are still learning Spanish and they were very patient with us when ordering. The atmosphere is beautiful. I would definitely recommend stopping here!

This is one of the best meals of my life. A hidden gem in Santiago. Great French cuisine, amazing staff, great wines.

A Shadow of it's former self, the new menu is disappointing, gone are the signature dishes to make room for pizzas and sandwiches. The food still is quite good, but not sure it's worth all the hazel to get there not the price tag.

Just leaving a review for the barbershop 💈! Emilio is amazing. Walked in around opening time, got a seat right away. He was lovely! Took pictures with him and a great haircut and a beard trim!

This restaurant has it all. Catchy environment, menu that is short enough to choose fast but gives enough options so you want to come again to try the other meals. The service is professional. A gastronomy experience at it’s best. I will be back, thanks.

The barber shop is the primary motivation for this review. An old fashioned, cutthroat-razor shave is really a must do; this spot is such a grand setting, and such a professional finish!
After the cut, lunch at the attendant museum-cum-restaurant is an expensive but very worthwhile experience. Food was good, but the unhurried service was outstanding. The setting is, again, a must-do. Lots of money, very well-spent!
