Peña Don Porfirio, Barranco

Great food and an amazing 3.5 hours of the best folkloric music and dance show from different areas of Peru. Including a segment of Marinera Norteña with Paso Fino horses dancing northern Peruvian music, just amazing! (You may even become part of the show) Highly recommend!

What an incredible experience! Peña Don Porfirio is a true hidden gem in Peru. The music and show were absolutely amazing an authentic and unforgettable cultural experience. Definitely a must visit for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic live music and vibrant local atmosphere!

Nice spot to listen to some good oldies and enjoy the dance floor. The $25sol cover covers a free drink. The food here is wonderful. But definitely come here for the music. Staff only speaks Spanish, but are patient enough to describe the food and service. Note: Make a reservation before arriving or you will be suck in the corner. Really really small restroom.

If you are fan of Creole Music this is the place for you, otherwise skipping might be a good idea. The atmosphere is autentic, the music is live. Most of the visitors are middle aged (and a bit more) locals. The musicians are really good - playing hard guitar progressions - but the lack of rhythm in this music might be pretty hard to understand/enjoy to anyone who doesn't have it in his blood.

Recommended for families and company meetings.

Fantastic live criolla music, great dancing, warm, friendly environment, good food and drink. Make a reservation! It is small and gets packed!
