Everybody surely is well known about Penang Hill, but do you guys know what's cool up there? Jeng jeng jeng. *dance* First, if you're a scenery hunter, this is the right place for you. Totally. You'll get to see the whole Georgetown view up here. Technically. Height of more than 2000ft height, Penang Hill offers the best panorama of George Town, and other conurbations on the eastern coast of Penang Island. There's designated binocular (I guess that's what they call it? Maybe?) that allows you to enjoy the view of the island - but you must be inserted some coins first lah. Nothing is free kay. Even entering a toilet could cost you up to 50 cents now. :(
Second, the train itself is the attraction (well for me) I've been here long ago when I was 3 years old, where they still operates with the old red train cabin. Anyhow, the latest I've been, they've switched to the new comfortable blue cabin, which is super smooth and user-friendly. I super love it! Even travelling in it felt so much convenient! There's no noise (except the chit-chats of people), it's fast almost 60% equivalent to a roller coaster - except that they don't have much adventurous trails. The ticket fairs are varies, you check check'em up from website or during lining up while buying one.
Third, there's mosque and temple up there - basically sort of an attraction to me. When I was there, there's few groups of mat saleh photographing there hence I believe those religious place has its own attractions. Cafes, not to be denied, there's few up there. Same goes to the accommodations. You can choose them according to your preferences. Other catchy attractions uphill are the museums! Besides scenery and nature, Penang hill also holds many historical values and identity. Historic values liker, this is suitable for you guys!
Next next next the new attraction! The Love Lock Bridge! Yeahhhhh! One thing I love about Malaysia. We can have our own version of every outsider cool attractions! You know, MALAYSIA BOLEH :D Ahhhh too many things to be mentioned till I myself might missed out few interesting activities there. Anyhow, Penang Hill is very suitable for families, kids, and even honeymooners! (I've met one when I was there) But please be patience in finding the parking nearby because the area is kinda small.
