Peng's Pizza Pies

Google
Review from a New Haven county Connecticut resident. This pizza is probably the best in Maine and would rival some of the best in New Haven. Great ingredients, dough had good chew but was also very light simultaneously. Cooked perfectly as well, excellent crispness. The cheese was good, but the pepperoni with pickled jalapeno and hot honey is the pie to get. If you’re a pizza enthusiast, you need to give Peng’s a try.

I live in the New Haven CT area. Have a vacation home in Saco. This pizza was really good. Thin crust cooked to perfection. When you live close to the big 3 pizza places (Sally’s, Pepe’s and Modern) tough to find anything better especially in Maine. I’d classify this as New Haven Style Abeetz. The owner Chris was very nice. Will be going back.

Peng’s Pies was so good. We were lucky enough to catch them while they were open—they sell out often, and now we see why. We dined in and ate the entire pizza. The crust, the flavor, everything was on point. If you get the chance to go, don’t hesitate. You need to try this place.

Google
This spot is SO GOOD. Best pizza we’ve had in a really long time!! The crust reminds me of some of the really good pizza places in NYC. If I lived in the area, this would be the only place I’d ever order from. The pepperoni with hot honey and jalapeño is to die for. There isn’t much of a dining room, but we waited for a few minutes and were able to snatch a table, so just be prepared that you might not be able to sit inside to eat.

Google
It's the best pizza in the state! Believe the hype, because it's well deserved. Excellent Basque cheesecake as well, and a good choice of music playing on the speakers. Make sure to grab a pizza from this certified GEM of a little restaurant!

Google
Ordered a cheese with basil…. best pizza I’ve had in recent memory. Crispy crust, delicious sauce, perfect ratio of cheese.

Google
I’ve been wanting to check out this place for a while now. Especially after my first trip to New Haven earlier this year and going down the rabbit hole of what makes for a really good pizza. This was one of the rare times that my experience exceeded the hype… including my time trying the pies down in CT. You can tell in every freaking bite that these folks seriously put a ton of care and effort into crafting a delicious pie. I cannot wait to go back for more.

Google
Extremely thin, crispy, charred-crust. Flopless. Light and chewy. Clean, uncomplicated sauce. Nice people. Top three in the state. (Please forgive shitty truck cab photo 🤦‍♂️)

Michael P.

Yelp
By far the best pizza in the state. Until someone opens a true New Haven Apizza joint Peng's will be #1. Order ahead, be patient as it is made fresh to order and they can get busy in their small space. But, the snafus with those limits are completely forgotten when you take a bite.

Yelp
Pizza is awesome. Great crust with some crunch and leoparding. Sauce is also very good and a classic thin slice pie. If you want a solid slice I would highly recommend it here. Hours and ordering can be a bit weird and busy and the prices is also very high. Overall was satisfied though

Yelp
Pizza is pretty good new haven style charred, thin crust. If you think char=burnt you won't like it. Pizza's good, service is friendly though a little slow. Kind of a bummer that there is so little seating in the place but i imagine if youre local you order pickup.

Yelp
Arrived at the instructed time for the online order and pizza wasn't even lukewarm warm - had descent taste - on a positive note the chocolate chip cookies were excellent!

Yelp
Another great pepperoni pizza. Asked for it well done & it comes out perfectly done with a great crust. A true 16 " pizza open Wednesday thru Sunday at 4:00 PM

Yelp
Drove down from Freeport on a Wednesday evening excited to try this new pizza shop in downtown Biddeford (on the Main street). Was able to find street parking. Open Wed- Sunday 4pm- 8pm. Super thin pizza, yummy crust. They offer a Basque cheesecake as dessert. A cheesecake from a region in Spain where its cooked at high temps and has no crust but super creamy. Was told it almost has a toffee flavor.

Yelp
Food was good... service outstanding. I enjoyed the pizza and I loved the salad. We picked the food up and I had to wait a little bit which gave me time to read about the owners journey. I love that, it makes me feel like they are making food with love and passion.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal pizza. Crispy, crunchy crust and just the perfect amount of toppings.

Jeff Chris G.

Yelp
I was in town for the weekend and thankfully I came across this spot. Absolutely killer New Haven style pizza.

Yelp
Absurdly good pizza. I chose from the white pizza side of the short menu the Lemon Onion pie with the recommended added anchovies. $22 for this beautiful massive pie. Flavorful toppings -- the poached lemons are a great touch -- and superb crust with lovely Leoparding. Do not miss this place if you love pizza!

Yelp
We've been hearing good things about Peng's Pizza for a while. The name is taken from the owner's nickname which makes the place more special. The decor is fairly sparse, but there are a few cute details and it's very clean. You can watch the staff busily work on your pizzas. They're also super friendly. The pizzas go fast on a weekend night, so if you want some you need to order early. We ordered pepperoni pizzas and a Caesar Salad. The pizzas were perfectly cooked and hot out of the oven. The salad was crisp and not too dressed. Just the right counterpoint to the pizzas. I wish we would have ordered here sooner!

Yelp
The best pizza in Biddeford and Saco. Hands down. With all due respect to Alex Pizza, this takes 1st place. The pizza had crisp, good sauce and cheese. I'd go back over and over. Caesar salad was really good to - shaved cheese and lemon zest. Inside is small, with a few tables. New atmosphere. Will be a repeat customer!

Yelp
THE BEST PIZZA. So good two years In a row we've gone here on the first night we get to Maine for vacation. The specialty pizza are ridiculously good! And my little nephew doesn't eat read sauce, he's 3 never tried it. So they ripped him a white pizza no questions asked!

Yelp
Best pizza in Maine! Everything is so good, but you should try the sausage one...holy moly! Friendly service, and nice owners. Comfy/ cozy/ casual atmosphere inside.

Yelp
Great pizza. Definitely in the convo with collettis. Solid Caesar salad. Never had them but cookies at checkout that look legit

Yelp
We had been dying to try this place and finally had the opportunity to do so on New Years Eve. We didn't place an order until about 5pm that night so they were sold out of everything except for cheese and pepperoni but it was cool we had the option to add jalapenos and honey to the pep, and so we did. Just an FYI, if you order online, they give you a timeframe (72 minutes in our case) and a pick-up time. This is not an estimated pick-up time and there aren't any other updates saying it's ready. Honestly, pretty straight-forward, but we were around the corner and I guess I was expecting a text or email like we get from Rover. The pizza is amazeballs. I love me some Alex's and some F-Word Franks at Coletti's, but with one choice between the 3, last pizza on earth, I would take Pengs for sure. The sour of the sourdough is unreal, the slice does the perfect non-flop, the cheese is a perfect amount and the price of $21 (before tax and tip) is a good value. The size is more than enough for 2 people, though you won't want to share. Also, I would assume because of the fermentation of the dough and not being globbed with cheese, my stomach appreciated the pizza more than others in the area. Didn't get a sense of the vibe as they were clearly trying to get the hell out of there when we arrived, but it was nice they were open on NYE to begin with.

Peter B.

Yelp
Best pizza in Maine unless you're an idiot! I'd put it up against Sally's or Fank Pepes. If you don't know the places, go to Dominos cause you don't know s*** about pizza.

Jeff D.

Yelp
Wow! Best pizza I've ever had. Amazing. Saw that they were selected by Press Herald as best pizza in Maine in 2024. I know why. Cheers.

Yelp
Yum! Ordered pickup on a Thursday night. By the time we went to order (6:30pm), everything was sold out other than cheese or pep so I recommend ordering ahead. It's a super small joint, which I think makes it more special. Pizza was cold by the time we got home, but we reheated it at 500° for 2.5 mins and it was perfect. Thin & crispy. Peng's is a great joint and definitely a good addition to the Biddeford area!

Kacie J.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Definitely one of my top pizza choices in southern Maine. I love the burnt crust bubbles but some people may not.

Chris C.

Yelp
The best and most unique pizza that I have had in the area. The cheese cake is also exceptional. Loved their food so much we that ordered for a gathering of 50+ people a few weeks ago. Everyone loved the taste and flavors. Bravo.

Yelp
Super mid. Gave me a blackened, burnt crust for $20. Wouldn't try it again sadly. Hopefully they start checking their pizzas before handing to the customer.

Andrew D.

Yelp
Great pizza and service! We didn't eat in but the dining area was clean and comfortable during our brief wait. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
The crust is amazing! Could use some salt but besides that, delicious!!! Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious pizza the lemon, garlic and onions. Pizza was absolutely amazing. They also have a vegan pizza for our vegan friends. Delicious. Five stars so happy you opened. This is a must try in Biddeford.

Denise R.

Yelp
Great service! Such a cute little spot to try! Pizza overall was good but I wouldn't say anything out of the ordinary.

Catherine D.

Yelp
Yummy! Awesome crust, sauce, pepperoni! The crust is unique. Friendly owner and staff.
