Scenic deck patio area. My recommendation - if you’re in the area and you can walk over to enjoy a coffee on their deck with beautiful view- that could be a great experience. Very congested inside ordering area with no sense of order - a mass of people stand waiting for extended period for items that all come out to you separately from your order. No friendly welcoming vibe here from staff. Average coffee and croissant breakfast sandwich which could even be okay if a smile or kind word accompanied it. The deck is a scenic spot if you want a coffee and you are in the area.

This is the most beautiful coffee house I’ve ever been in! It’s so tranquil and comfortable. There’s so many seating options indoors and out. The staff are incredible. The manager was very welcoming as he pitched in and worked as hard as his team. The merchandise is great too. It embraces the spirit of the community. The scenery is breathtaking. The decor is welcoming. Lots of coffee choices, but even a non-coffee drinker would enjoy this place. It’s kid friendly and dog friendly, too!

Google
Cute, local spot along the towpath running and bike trails. It can get busy on Saturday mornings, but the line moves quickly. Drinks are excellent (the iced cinnamon roll latte was a big hit). Food is good overall, though my gluten-free egg sandwich was a miss (basically a piece of sausage between two eggs… probably on me for not reading the description closely, but still not very appetizing). Other bakery items and sandwiches were solid. They also host wine events, yoga, and other local events.

Google
Chill vibes, historic buildings and infrastructure dotted along slow winding Cuyahoga. Easy spot to sit far longer than you intended. Breakfast biscuit and dirty chai made my day. Also come back in the evening for a glass of wine on the patio. Seriously underrated. Feels almost secret. I don’t mind.

Google
One of the best coffee shops I've been to. The space is unbeatable with 3 floors of seating inside and 2 outside. It's a gorgeous setting and we loved the live music. Can't wait to go back!

Google
Such a gem to the area! This is the only coffee shop located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. They have an upper and lower patio with lots of outdoor seating overlooking the Cuyahoga River. Great coffee. There is also a wine bar downstairs!

Hailey J.

Google
I came thanks to the Drip Drive. My sweet iced chai was delicious! My breakfast sandwich felt microwaved, not made fresh, but it was still good. The building is small, quaint, and comfortable. They also sell shirts and trinkets inside. It's a very popular place. I love the look inside and the gorgeous patio outside, just to the right of the coffee shop. There's additional seating in the back, as well as on the deck when there aren't events, like outdoor Yoga. There's also a winery downstairs! I can't wait to come back to try it. My only complaint is the parking, Just as other reviews have stated. There's nothing really the coffee shop can do, it's a wooded nature area all around and the business next door (understandable) has its own private parking out front starting at 11am, but I think a sign stating the one lane entrance/exit to the parking lot in the back might help? (meaning if someone's driving in, that means another car can't leave). They had a yoga event that took up all the parking in the back when we visited, but so many people coming for just coffee kept trying to drive to the back parking lot and were getting stuck or turned around by others doing the same. Parking was chaos, but honestly it's definitely worth it!

Google
I had a mocha here, which was just OK, but the location is wonderful - the river below, and the train across the river are fantastic. The shop is near trails that follow the lock system/Erie Canal, and the Cuyahoga Scenic Railroad is right nearby. Parking in their lot is difficult. Go for the atmosphere

Yelp
Incredible coffee. Friendliest staff. Fun events. Solid snacks. Great drink selection. Prime location. -- so many good things to say about this place! Everyone needs to check it out! I love walking up Lock 29 to grab a drink to take along with me on my walks! Their parking lot is extremely difficult to deal with if there's some cars there, so I recommend parking down by all the shops & walking up! Easy access on the sidewalk, or you can cut off the trail like I do to get up there. It's worth the hassle!

Yelp
A coffee shop that I can easily visit between hikes in a national park? Heck yes! I stopped by the Peninsula Coffee House and Market during a weekend trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park this year. I was lucky and snagged a parking space in front of the business; their parking is VERY limited and I'm surprised I didn't have to use a lot that was across a bridge. (Note that the bridge is right by the coffee shop, so it wouldn't have been a long trek at all.) I ordered a Butterscotch Latte and a Sausage, Biscuit & Egg breakfast sandwich; snagged a seat near the front of the store; and settled in for a relaxing break between my hikes. The coffee was excellent and the sandwich really hit the spot! While seating in the lower level is limited, I've learned reading other reviews that there is an outdoor patio and an upper level too. Their website mentions that they run a sundry market here too; however I didn't spend much time shopping in the interest of not stretching my wallet too far during my travels. I also didn't check out the wine cellar in the lower level. While this shop is little, it clearly has a lot to offer, and I am so glad I found it during my visit to Cuyahoga. I'd absolutely stop by again during future visits to the area...and I'd love to time my next visit so I can check out that wine cellar!

Yelp
If you arrive by car on the weekend it can be chaotic. Parking is tight and rare. Building interior is petite so it can get tight inside too. The outdoor area is worth it all. Decent amount of seating out and in, up and down. I tried the seasonal pumpkin chai. I ordered it half sweet but not sure if it was made that way. I was hungry but opted no for food because it seemed to be grocery store frozen sandwiches. They were giving kids bubbles which was so cute and sweet and the cake pops are hits with the kids too!

Yelp
Quaint little coffee shop in a perfect-sized village. Barista served up a really good London Fog. Could find myself living in here on cold, wintry days.

Yelp
I wish I lived closer to this cute coffee shop!! You can sit indoor, on the patio outside, or on the comfy couches outside! There are a few parking spots in the front and some in the back, if you can't find any of those you will have to drive across the bridge or up the street a little! (Maybe a 2 min walk!) They are so many options for bakery items and drinks.... More flavor syrups than I can't count! I tried an iced blueberry latte and it was the perfect amount of blueberry, not too sweet at all!! This is the perfect place for studying, catching up, a date, or a quick coffee run! I can't wait to come back and get more coffee/lattes here!!!
google avatar

Allison Z.

Yelp
Cute place, however be prepared for absolutely no parking on a busy day and to get stuck in the parking lot as there is no room to turn around it is right on the walking trail. Spent almost 10 minutes with cars behind me trying to get out of this one way parking "lot". Ended up parking down the street and had to walk across the bridge. The line was wrapped to the back of the building, nice to see them busy however the shop is small and there was barely any room to walk and had to awkwardly wait shoulder to shoulder for our coffee. Now the coffee itself was also disappointing. With how busy this location was, I thought we walked into something good. The coffee itself has a very strong floral aftertaste, not my preferred coffee roast. Made it very unenjoyable. However, service was very friendly and the baristas were very upbeat despite the busyness.

Yelp
I had an excellent experience here! One gentleman behind the counter (perhaps the manager or owner ‍) was incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm a fairly new coffee drinker, and he showed me the ropes and joked around a bit in the process. The coffee was good as far as I can tell for being new to this world . I believe there is also a wine cellar attached to this coffee shop, which is a crazy cool concept! The highlight is the outdoor patio. It's tucked back almost directly in a wooded area. It feels very private. There is a lower and upper level filled with couches and tables/chairs. I'll definitely be back to try some of their baked goods that looked delightful!
google avatar

Yelp
What a little gem! Indoor and outdoor seating. Bakery options and a variety of coffee and tea. Yummy chocolate chip/zucchini muffin and butterscotch mufin. Batista's were also really nice. 100% would return.
google avatar

Chance P.

Yelp
The coffee here was fantastic. Definitely in my top 3 of coffee shops on the Drip Drive passport if you are familiar. The staff was nice and there were multiple different places to sit inside and out. Downstairs there is a small wine market as well. The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath can be accessed easily from the parking lot to hike or bike. Great idea for a date day. Important note: there is limited parking but there are spaces behind the building.

Yelp
This place is a gem in the area! I was so glad to see they put in a coffee shop here because I feel like Peninsula has been missing one for a while and this is the perfect spot. I finally got to try it this weekend and was not disappointed! There is not much in the way of parking but we found a spot across the street. It's a busy place! Very cute inside with nice outdoor seating as well. They had a nice variety of drinks on the menu and many customizations as well. I ordered a nitro cold brew with lavender for my husband and one of their specialty drinks - a honey bee latte - for myself. Service was super friendly and asked exactly how many pumps of sweetener I wanted when I said I wanted my drink less sweet. Prices are a little high but not unexpected or crazy for the offerings and the area. They have live music in the evenings sometimes too so I definitely want to go back and check that out. Thank you, Peninsula Coffee House!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, plenty of outdoor seating, great coffee. We had the croissant sandwich and that was also very good.

Yelp
On a beautiful day along the Cuyahoga River underneath the shade of maple trees... You just can't go wrong here. 5 stars entirely based on that. The rest is just icing. Actually my iced chai latte was quite tasty. The biscuit was nothing special, but also not overpriced. All good by me.
google avatar

Allison J.

Yelp
This place is a must if you are in the area of the national park! Quaint and cozy with excellent service, the building is full of charm and is a comfortable spot to get out of the cold. I ordered an iced americano which was top notch. My three kids loved their hot chocolate; I always appreciate a shop that has options for kids. We were pleasantly surprised to find a nice selection of gluten-free treats as well. This is one of the best local coffee shops I've visited!
google avatar

Valerie R.

Yelp
Beautiful surroundings ..great selections if coffee. Food was fresh and good ..coffee was hot

Marcia G.

Yelp
The coffee house is on the main level , but the wine store is in the lower level. We got wine and a charcuterie board and sat outside on comfortable furniture by a glass fire pit. The ambiance was great. It was on the canal trail way of Cuyahoga National Park and you could watch hikers, bicyclists and the Cuyahoga National Park train which makes a stop across the River. Very picturesque and relaxing. It is dog friendly as there was a standard poodle making himself at home. On the upper deck, people were enjoying their coffee. Service was great by friendly young girls.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Cutest little coffee spot! Right on the river with two patios looking out over natures glory. Plus the coffee is super yummy and they have lots of flavor and milk options for your pickiest partner. They have wine cellar in the basement that I don't get to check out as I was there early but it looks interesting!

Michelle P.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this cafe with great ambiance, an epic view of the river, delicious unsweetened matcha perfect after a long hike.
google avatar

C. L.

Yelp
Banana muffins are great! The service is very personable. The ambience is quiet but very nice. Was able to read without distraction.
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
Cool laid back vibe. Great stop off of the bike trail to repack for gear. Grab a coffee or some wine. Relax and enjoy. This is more of a nibble place and not a main meal.
google avatar

Ann D.

Yelp
Great find on a roadtrip from TX to NY with my dog. Not only are they super dog friendly (you. A bring your dog inside to order), they have good coffee, lots of gluten-free pastries, and a lovely dog friendly patio near Dr to the river. This place is a gem.
google avatar

Sara T.

Yelp
Stopped here on a Wednesday morning in the summer and it was pretty steady with people. While I could tell it was crowded, the line moved fast and it didn't feel like I was being surrounded by people. There's many places to sit with a great view. The food is good for a quick snack and if I lived in the area would regularly go to try all the different beverages. Employees were nice and quick. Great place with a good atmosphere.
google avatar

Cynthia K.

Yelp
Very cute cafe! Lot of good options and affordable price. People taking our order were very friendly. Good vibes. We got hot chocolate, m&m cookie, and bacon egg cheese croissant, all for $12 and all delicious!
google avatar

Kathleen V.

Yelp
An awesome little, local coffee shop in the Cuyahoga River Valley. Worth getting off the turnpike for the scenery and menu. Delicious baked goods and coffee drinks. Butterscotch latte was delicious!! In good weather, enjoy the deck overlooking the river. Solid wifi, reaches the deck, to get some work done remotely if you're in the mood for a change of space. They also offered a small selection of to go snacks and some local goods. On my drive from Baltimore to Detroit and back, I made sure to stop each way.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Love this place! The staff and owners are great, the location and atmosphere are second to none!
google avatar

Joshua S.

Yelp
A really cute coffee place right by The national park. Great coffee before or after a long hike. Service was so kind they work hard there and deserve to be complimented and appreciated for their hospitality
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
I purchased a traditional macchiato. Which is basically a shot of espresso with foam. Presentation was average, but flavor was amazing. The service was very friendly.

Melissa C.

Yelp
This is a beautiful coffee house with amazing decks overlooking the river. The coffee was delicious. The pastries, however, were wrapped in plastic, clearly not fresh, purchased from other vendors. If you just want a cup of coffee, this is a great choice. I wouldn't eat here.
google avatar

Nicholas P.

Yelp
Get the Tuxedo scone!! It is to DIE FOR. This shop is peak local cafe atmosphere. Every employee is wonderfully kind and there's even a spiral staircase for more seating upstairs!
google avatar

Yelp
One of our favorite coffee shops! Nestled in the heart of Peninsula, the Peninsula Coffee House is exactly what was missing from this lovely little town. The quaint yet elegant space features thoughtful decor, offering the quintessential coffee house vibe. Friendly staff, expansive menu, and most importantly-- delicious coffee!
google avatar

Chuck L.

Yelp
great little spot. it's worth it. sidebar: the city police are waging war against folks that want to park to visit the local spots. They recently added parking meters on city streets. "PIA"
google avatar

Cassidy K.

Yelp
Finally got to visit the Peninsula Coffee House and it has fully lived up to all my expectations. There is so much seating indoor and outdoor, which is perfect for after a hike or bike ride through the valley. The vibes are so good here and I love the art. The gingerbread latte was absolutely delicious. They had such a wide range of flavors to pick! I would definitely recommend if you're passing through the area. There is parking around back as well as over by the park entrance if you don't mind a very quick walk. This is such a perfect location and right next to the river.
google avatar

Yelp
My first time here, I ordered a small matcha latte. It doesn't come sweet, so if you want that, ask for simple syrup or honey. They also offer milk alternatives. As far as the matcha goes, it was okay - not the best I've ever had but for $4.65, I'm not mad at it. I'll have to come back to try out the actual coffee. Coffee shop has a wide balcony area where folks can sit outside and look at the river. Saw quite a few folks working on laptops or sitting around chatting. Inside, there is a mix of individual and group seating. I could imagine this being a great "third place" during the summer and fall seasons. I had no issues connecting to the WiFi, and I appreciated the access to the outdoors. Things to know before you come: 1) parking is limited in the front and in the back. If you want to park on the street, you'll be walking across the bridge a bit and you'll be paying for street parking. 2) not a ton of easily accessible outlets if you're trying to sit and work, so come with your laptop charged. 3) if you sit in the back area, be aware that there is an AC vent that directly flows into the middle of the space. If you get cold easily, you may want to bring a sweater. I think this mostly reflects the fact that my first visit is happening in August, and on a day in August where it is in the 60s. In the same space, there is also a big screen tv that had ESPN on during the time I was there. It wasn't loud but I don't know that having continual ESPN fits the whole coffee shop by the river vibe. All in all, if the weather is nice and you've got a book to read and want to be close to nature, this is your spot.
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
Cute little cafe with plenty of choices. We sat in front of the window and enjoyed watching all the activities. This is a great place to enjoy coffee and pastries while reading or studying.

Yelp
This coffe house is set in beautiful downtown Peninsula. It has gorgeous views of the Cuyahoga river on it patio and a wine cellar downstairs. It has great service and great ambiance. The owner Mark and his wife have a gem.if a business on their hand ! Very welcome addition to Peninsula!

Scott H.

Yelp
This coffee house is comprised of several neat gathering spaces, indoor and outdoor. Super friendly people, great service, and spectacular ambience!

Mercedes L.

Yelp
Absolute gem of a location... It's tucked away and very serene. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. We had 2 macchiatos with an extra shot of espresso and muffins. My partner inhaled the cranberry almond and I savored the cinnamon. The muffins were freshly made. I want to try the breakfast sandwich on the next visit. We went on Friday morning. There were a few people working on laptops and others on what seemed to be a work call. This was a lovely way to start a Friday morning. We will be back and make this a regular place to visit. Bonus there's a walking trail along the river. Those who are sensitive to sound warning the train passes by on the other side of the river so it could be loud for a few minutes. It does not last long so don't let that discourage you.
google avatar

Jiayu L.

Yelp
View is excellent, though it can be crowded and long wait in summer, the place has enough seats.
google avatar

Mariya M.

Yelp
Loved it. The eggs were yummy, coffee decent and view awesome. Servers friendly and cool vibes
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely adorable new coffee shop in Peninsula! This was something missing from the little town of Peninsula and is an amazing addition to the area. It is the perfect place to hang out for the day with a book, or go on a hike in the CVNP and then get a hot drink and snack! I had a regular latte and my husband had a cappuccino. Both were solid and I will definitely be back!

Leah N.

Yelp
I love this place...from their gluten free options to their amazing drinks and wine cellar. This place is quaint with lots of different seating areas. It overlooks the river in the CVNP, beautiful any season of the year. I wish I lived closer I would be there everyday! They also give back to their community and everyone from the top down seems to be great people!
google avatar

Courtney T.

Yelp
Finally found my new favorite coffee house! Literally everything about Peninsula Coffee House and Market is a dream. The location, the cute little brick building it's in, the outdoor area (both a beautiful upper deck and lower patio area), and of course the coffee. The service was also great. I love this place so much and I will definitely be back again very soon!

Yelp
The bathrooms are beautiful!!!! Took the most scenic poop of my life down there, so peaceful!
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Have been dying to try this place and finally got to yesterday after hiking! This is the perfect location, and just want Penisula needed! The store itself is amazing, beautifully decorated and laid out very nice. The staff were extremely nice as well! I got a half sweet sugar cookie iced latte with oat milk and it was one of the best lattes I've had in a long time! I will 100% be coming back every time I'm in the area.

Marr I.

Yelp
Great comfortable place with nice scenic deck but truly Horrible parking! Once you pull in to park it's tough to get out
google avatar

Kristy B.

Yelp
This coffee & wine bar is so cute ! I'm so happy that we have a place like this in Peninsula now wonderfully baked fresh pastry with an amazing ambiance!

Molly B.

Yelp
Great place love coming here when visiting peninsula. super clean and cute space with good light food and drink options!

Briar P.

Yelp
Place is very clean and disgusting on the floor though and food is very feels like it is a day old and does not taste good at all and it's not good at all and very bad that's the only reason that I'm giving them a once star otherwise I would give them it's clean starfish everyday I watch them and make sure it's the only part is that their food is very disgusting and that it does not taste good at all in this the only reason I will be giving them bad stuff
google avatar

Alyssa J.

Yelp
so glad there's a local coffee shop in this area! location is great with good views of the river. i'm so glad they have a small parking lot behind the building but beware, there can be cars going both ways in and out. cute spot and love the interior plus the extra patio seating. coffee was tasty, we enjoyed iced mochas. service was good, we waited a little longer than I expected after ordering but not the end of the world. we will definitely be back before or after a hike in the cvnp :)
google avatar

Marissa W.

Yelp
So stoked someone stepped up with a perfect pairing for pre- and post-hikes in our Valley. Espresso is amazing. Staff is very kind. The indoor/outdoor space is perfectly laid out with hideaways up a spiral staircase, a room to catch the news or a ballgame, front window view for work and contemplation, and most importantly, the inviting river view deck and patio. So Well done!! Thank you for your hard work to provide a hip place for all to commune!
