Penn Station

Very busy, parking availability is difficult. Appears clean but smell stings the nostrils. Lots of police presence. From time to time you get panhandling but security is good on addressing the concerns.

It’s busy and usually occupied subway station has many seats for everyone. The main gate to the front is open all time butthr other gates remain close They have 6 Ticket counters that are opens 6am-10pm mon -Sunday !

Beautiful classic railroad station. Plenty of seating in the waiting room. Train are easy to get to and signage is well posted. There are some interesting characters hanging around in the evening, so that can be interesting.

The station 🚉 is pretty much big, we were lost in first but figured it out, there is smell of pee and many homeless people are roaming around, the station gets closed by 12 midnight 🕛, over all you’ll find a food spots as well.

Worst transit experience of my life. There are many unhoused people, many of them using substances (based on their behavior and because of the drugs covering the sink in the bathroom). People go around and look at you suspiciously, giving the impression they’re going to try to rob you. Many transit police everywhere but still felt unsafe. In the winter, it’s frigid and there’s no heaters. There’s also no place to plug or charge your phone. There’s no information on the ticket to show you what platform you’re supposed to be on, it will show on a small screen in a few places in the station and many of the kiosks in the station were broken or not working properly to check on our train times. Will never go back.

Newark is changing for the better part. It has homeless people hanging outside. Lots people smoking

It’s easier to navigate than New York City Station. I would recommend getting tickets in advance or on phone. There are police officers that always monitor the station. It’s not the cleanest and you will see some sketchy things. Just keep your bags close to you and mind your own business.
