For penny regulars, this outlet doesn't give you the OG penny vibes, unfortunately. The only saving grace was, spiked muddy. The rest was underwhelming. Cheese cake was passable. No wow. Wouldn't travel to this outlet again. Sorry. Wondering should i give the jalan klapa a try? What if it is also a disappointment ? Might as well go to dutch coffee 🫥

Ive been patronising Penny University for so many years @ East Coast outlet and this is my first time here at new location Wisma Geylang Serai! Great Ambience and great service! Food is great as usual, love the squid ink fried rice and Moules Frites, got myself Sakura Blossom drink, my all time favourite waffles and Cheese burnt Basque! Their New Cold Brew Drink is to go for. Love the milky taste fresh brewed bottled coffee. My experience is Definitely a full 5 star!

I am utterly disappointed with the food/drink standard in this outlet. Ordered the following: - Turkish eggs (5/10) - Moroccan baked eggs (5/10) - Kids meal (5/10) - Long black (1/10) - Muddy espresso (1/10) - Cinnamon roll (1/10) Coffee were horrible. Tasted like water. Muddy espresso is also a NO. Cinnamon roll is hard as rock. Feels like it has been in the freezer. This is my first and last visit. Do not recommend anyone. You might want to go over Dutch colony instead.

Who knew kimchi with cheese all grilled in sourdough bread would be amazing! Kudos for that as well as the amazing Ethiopian filtered coffee and white. Coffee standards still unfaltered. The team is cheerful and inviting. A debunk of others' previous reviews. I understand that this is the teething period from a soft launch. Hopefully, the cafe will regain back its confidence of the brand and be the next hit. Will visit again next time.

Ordered at 1110am. At 1140am i reminded them nicely that i ordered a grilled kimchi sandwich but the staff was rude? Like no apologies at all but just told me to sit down and wait. He claims that my order is on the way. The person who came in much later got her order fast except for mine. I mean if you’re understaffed you can explain it nicely to me instead of being so rude as if its blasphemous to ask a legit question. I honestly thought they forgot my order because i changed seats but was treated witj such attitude. Anyway, the coffee glass is also so small like so not worth the money. Dont bother.

We were here for cakes and coffee, to be honest, I don't find anything fantastic with this eatery. Everything is overpriced, even their coffee and it is not even that nice, really not worth it! Service can also be improved, one of the male staff has a kind of attitude when we asked about our coffee which took more than 15 minutes to come. I don't see myself patronizing this place again, at least not in the near future.

We ordered aglio olio for 16 dollars. I dont mind the price if it was cooked well. Pasta was bland and had no flavour profile. I also ordered waffles which was normal but my main complain is the reuben sandwich. It was very salty because of the cured beef. I understand that cured is salt..but it overpowered the whole sandwhich..anw Total i spent around 71 dollars with 1 drink. Counter staff was friendly however when we arrived certain tables was still not clean. Im quite disappointed that i paid so much for food that is mediocre.
