Overall a lovely quirky little place , spotlessly clean and a great location for us travelling back from the airport the following day !!! We arrived just in time for check in , having travelled from Barcelona and not realising the train was 1h 40, we thought we had the high speed express so double check !!! As others have commented not a particularly warm welcome from the owner .|Given a room on 4th floor with my children ,good exercise for us BUT OMG no air conditioning !!!!!! This along with the church bells every half hour means we had very little sleep. The rooms were like a furnace and so uncomfortable. Due to this I would not return to this establishment which is a shame . I will defcome back to Girona as its beautiful and I wish I had more time , but will book an air conditioned hotel next time .

Great location in the old town, right by the main shopping/dining street. Convenience store on the ground floor is also a big plus. The room was spacious, well-maintained and clean, with daily maintenance. We had a full ensuite bathroom. The only downside is that our double bed was actually two separate single beds, which slid apart when you tried to cuddle. Be aware that there is no elevator, and rooms start on the third floor.

Beautiful airy building that has kept it's old character. Jimmy the host gave us the choice of two rooms, both of which were awesome in their simplicity.

Stayed here for 1 night in a twin room with my son as we were watching Girona FC whilst on a mini break. I have to say that some of the previous reviews are extremely unfair as this is a great little place. Yes you have to confirm what time you are arriving to the owner beforehand as reception is only open between 0900 hours and 1900 hours, if you are arriving after 7pm then stay somewhere else!! Our room was on the 3rd floor (reception 2nd floor) and was extremely clean with its own private bathroom. Tea and coffee were also provided in the room. Our room had a small balcony that looked into the main street below, which was full of hustle and bustle. Hotel is situated in the middle of the old town and within walking distance of all the main sights. It doesn't offer breakfast but plenty of cafes close by for this. Our flight home wasn't until the evening but the owner kindly kept our bags for us all day to save us having to walk around with them. All in all a great hotel in the middle of Girona!!

The owner is very rude, in my opinion. He said in a very unfriendly way that people who are not registered are not allowed to go upstairs, even if you're helping somebody or whatever. I'd recommend to pay more but go somewhere else. The bed was hard and the room was the opposite of cozy. There are more options a little bit away, but it's worth it.

I did not actually stay at this hotel. I had the most bizarre experience with their booking people (or whoever manages this). My booking was rejected apparently by a mistake when entering my credit card details. Went into Booking.com and Ihad two messages from the hotel: "Our schedules (accepted by you) are not changeable, you can cancel, thank you" and then "what is that you don't understand". |I responded I didn't know what they were talking about and then I realised I must have made a mistake when I entered the arrival time and clarified I meant 2 pm and not 2 am (sheer guess since I had no clue what was going on). Their response was even ruder and continued saying that they would not stay up waiting for me at 3 am. "It's closed, thanks". And then went on to give me a lesson on how to choose the time in the Anglo-Saxon style ( :-) ).||I cancelled the booking. I can only imagine how rude they can be in person.||I believe that they think that by adding "thanks" or "gracias" they think they are polite? Utterly impolite and not worth my money.

The location was really good. Right in the centre of Gerona. The room itself was fine, it was clean, not much but for €54 a night is was fine. The host on the otherhand was rude and annoyed. We rang the doorbell not knowing the frontdoor was open. He let us in but quite aggressively told us not to ring the bell. The door to the reception is closed, so it's not very accessible if you want to get in contact with the host. 10 minuted before our checkout we were pushed to leave our room. When we eventually did the checkout we had to ring the bell and he half opened the door of the reception. We couldn't even get a goodbye from the guy. The room was fine, but if you value good service do not book here.

I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights. The location is excellent. The room is compact but that was expected. The beds were comfy. I wish there was small bottle of shampoo, body wash and toothpaste provided by the establishment so we wouldn't have to spend a lot of money buying big bottles and tubes of it just to leave it behind because we do not have check-in luggage. The room is very much in the centre of the buzzing night life and therefore it can be loud at night and for some reason, there is church bells going off in the background for what it seemed like every ten minutes. I also wish they would have had a fan in their room bcus the night are REALLY HOT and we sweat ourselves to sleep. Overall, good stay, things can be improved. Just not the best if you actually wanna sleep, but the location beats the sleep in my opinion.
