"If you want to party and socialize, this is one of the best options: DownTown runs free city and castle tours, talent shows, pub crawls, cooking classes, beer pong, communal dinners a few times a week, and a daily buffet breakfast (about 150 CZK). The bunks are basic metal frames but with thick enough mattresses for decent sleep (no privacy curtains), rooms are spacious and some have single beds, and I’d ask for a spot on the fifth or sixth floor for a great view of Prague." - Matthew Kepnes

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! Gabi was an amazing host – very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. She made me feel at home from the very beginning and gave me great tips about the area. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and everything was clean and comfortable. The hostel is perfectly located in the city center. Big Tesco supermarket is nearby, so you can shop for cheap food and cook it in the hostel kitchen when you are on a budget holiday. The staff is friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the rest of the hostel too. The windows and door would deserve some maintenance, but I felt good there.

Tereza is just the coolest human being there is to receive you in such good hostel, the first 2 minutes talking to her and I felt like we were lifelong friends, that’s the kind of personality you want welcoming you to an establishment like this! I booked a 3 bed room. It was fairly-sized and quiet. The bath was very clean. We could store our luggage already before check-in so we could enjoy the day in Prague. The personnel was always available and very helpful :)

This hostel has everything you need, and the location is brilliant for exploring Prague. Only downside is there are many families here so not the best for younger travellers maybe. However, Gabriela, who was in charge of activities, put on a social one night where we met some lovely new friends and went out for a fun evening. So shoutout to her for bringing up the vibes.

Downtown Hostel is centrally located and perfect for travelers looking for a friendly and open atmosphere. A special shoutout to Victor, one of the volunteers – he organized activities or outings almost every day and was always helpful, whether it was with tips, joining you for an event, or just having a good chat. The rooms and common areas were clean and well-equipped. It was quiet at night, and I slept well. Overall, a very pleasant stay – I’d definitely come back!

My stay at the hostel was absolutely amazing! The beds were so cozy—I almost didn’t want to get up in the morning! 😊 Everyone was incredibly kind, especially Aschly, who made the trip extra special by organising a fun trip to the Easter Market and a cool jazz pub. I’m really happy with the memories and friendships I made there. Can’t wait to come back!.

I stayed in a 7-person female dorm. The beds and surroundings were very clean. I had no problems during my stay. You can walk everywhere, the location is very central. There is really nothing to say about such service for this price. Only maybe a small refrigerator could be placed in the rooms. Thank you very much, I was able to visit beautiful Prague thanks to you.
