Pension Ballwein

It was a nice Austrian traditional style pension. Room was big and comfortable. The bus stop was located just outside the property. Bus ride was around 15mins or so and passes by the local shops and houses. Breakfast was very homey with fresh fruits, eggs, cereal and pastries etc. The surrounding location was wonderful if one is interested in the local scene. Overall, I ll probably go back again if I were to return to Salzburg.

Everything was perfect- the room, the breakfast and the service. The breakfast selection included eggs to order, as well as a variety of coffee options with refills. Fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, pastries, breads and yogurt were part of the buffet. Our entire visit to Salzburg was enjoyable as well.

It was perfect! Friendly hosts and a wonderfull apartment. We stayed for 2 weeks and they were magical. We are sure to come back next year.

This place was out of a fairytale. The property was impeccably constructed and perfect to the dot. But more importantly, the owners were kind, courteous and attended to all our needs. Definitely would go back to stay for longer.

Very rarely do I post a review for accommodation before I have left the property, but I am compelled to on this occasion. It is one of those instances where if I could award more than 5 stars, I would. Pension Ballwein, and the family who operate it, are spectacular. Everything about the operation is is executed and presented with utter perfection. The building and her rooms exist at that difficult to obtain point of balance between traditional and modern, and there is nothing -I mean nothing- to want for or complain about. The breakfast should not only have a review, it should have songs sung about it! Never throughout my many times in Austria or Germany have I seen such a vast, well-presented, high-quality selection as I have seen at Pension Ballwein. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and that usual awkward silence that exists in the breakfast room (you know the one) is entirely absent. The owners here are clearly proud of what they do - and rightfully so. They should teach seminars in hotel operation and management. If you are visiting Salzburg, stay at Pension Ballwein.

The loveliest little Accommodation. So many lovely touches throughout the property. Our room and bathroom were so pretty. The breakfast was incredible. The Owners were so helpful in helping us make the most of our time with tips about what we wouldn't want to miss in their lovely city

I and my wife spent a week in the Ballwein pension and it was a wonderful stay. The owners, Daniela and Simon, are very nice people and always ready to help. Room was very clean (cleaned every day!), with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The breakfast was perfect as well - tasty and with lots of options. Pension is in a nice street, good for evening walks, with nice nature around. Big plus is a bus stop in front of the pension with quick connection to the Salzburg center by bus 21. We definitely recommend the Ballwein pension to others and we are looking forward to stay here again in the future.

Our room was spotlessly clean and fixtures and fittings are very high standard with a comfy bed. Good quality breakfast with lots of choice. Great location with scenic views and easy access to Salzburg town. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend

Very nice, cozy B&B on the edge of town with very friendly owners. Great place to relax. Small pool and place to play for kids. Easy and pretty quick bus to old town of Salzburg for tourism, dining, fun. I recommend.
