We stayed 5 nights in this good hostel in the centre of Santa Cruz. Price/quality : excellent. We slept in a room (with view on a cosy inner garden), the room was small, but good, clean and silent. Carmen and her husband are very sympathetic and very helpful people. We got a lot of information and some good adresses, ideas, suggestions,... A recommandable address!!

I stayed with my mother. We are from Canada. I've been to many accommodations of this type and this one was OK. It's very well situated in Santa Cruz and could be a good base to explore for a day or two at most. Carmen was nice when she received us but said she would rather speak Spanish so I had to translate everything to my mother. She showed us one of the bathrooms when we arrived and only discovered that there was a second bathroom on our last day. So we wasted time waiting for others to finish using it. The place is kind of charming and has a garden (but the plants aren't watered regularly, as my mother who is an avid gardener noticed right away). There is some antique furniture and it's nice but terribly mismatched. There is a kitchen which is permanently occupied by the owner's father (who sort of just lives there and opens the door when you ring the bell) so guests don't get to enjoy it and it's a real shame. There is a terrace but they hang clothes there so there is effectively no common space and we didn't meet anyone at this place. It takes away from the joy of traveling if you don't get to meet any interesting people.

Wonderful place to stay, Carmen made us feel very welcome and gave us tips for restaurants and things to do. The house has been operating since 1945 and is family owned and operated. Great location right in the middle of town. Would highly recommend👍

Had to book this Pension on a last minute whim due to being let down by a tour company, so I missed my Ferry to Las Palmas Gran Canaria... Nevertheless I stayed at this very old and charming Pension. Carmen sat with me and made me feel very welcome, like a friend....She genuinely was interested! The Accommodation was extremely basic and extremely old with grace. The price was a bit steep I think, but then I did book on the day..The Bathroom area was extremely basic, but did the job. The bedrooms are slightly depressing, so just sleep in them as it is basically just bed, mirror, drawer, curtains, table lamp. Thank you Carmen!

Very friendly and helpful host. Carmen met us and gave us lots of tips. The location was great, very close to restaurants and bars, with easy access to local amenities and shops. The facilities were adequate and clean. Very good value place to stay, can’t fault it!

Absolutely worth the stay! The pension is located nearby the heart of Santa Cruz. Although the building is more than 100 years old, I just liked it when I arrived and my first impression lasted even when I left. The room and shared bathroom were always clean and cleared up. The housekeeper itself gave me the feeling as if I were at home, not to forget about the good travel and restaurant hints she mentioned.

We spent some days in december and new year in pension cejas being very lucky there. The pension is well situated, near to the center, harbour, parks and not in a loud vicinity. We would definitely go there again - among others to see the host carmen again.
