I was here for a work trip on a limited budget - this was suggested to me by local colleagues and I am so happy they did - it was a great place to stay for a few days. Estrela, the owner, is warm and welcoming and available to help until quite late in the day (though beware I don't think she speaks much English). The rooms are a decent size and, as others have remarked, the wi-fi is good and free. I stayed in room 5 which had a great view of the square, but was a bit loud as it's nearer the front door and the kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the room generally clean. The bathroom is small but serves its purpose. Within a few minutes' walk are all sorts of nice bars and cafes and restaurants, as well as all the wonderful attractions of the town. ||||In short, the Pension was great value for money and I really don't understand the local rating system and why it would only have one star!

For me it was a great location. The square was very nice and close to everything but quiet as well. There's a lovely restaurant just around the corner with a lovely garden/terrace. Which unfortunately I can't remember the name of. But it was the best menu del dia we had in the city.|We didn't use the kitchen at all because we ate out but, to be honest it didn't look very inviting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was definitely compact but I felt it was price appropriate and it was perfect for us.

Nice private room with ensuite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Located in old city and convenient to cathedral. |We were able to leave our bags early, before checking in so we could walk around the city unencumbered. |

We stayed at the Pension at the end of our Camino Pilgrimage. It is very near the Cathedral and we had a Double rooms with an outstanding view of the Church plaza next to the building.||||We stayed in a private room with a Queen sized bed and a private bath. The room and bathroom were a tad small but clean and confortable. There is a shared kitchen that you can use and anything that is there (including some food) is available for your use.||||The staff was fantastic, Estrella made us feel welcomed, she loaned us a laptop to book our return train trip and she would not charge us the usual wash fee for our small load. She also let us keep our packs at the place before our return trip.||||The only downside is that you have to walk up to the rooms, they are supposed to be in the 2nd floor but remember that the bottom floor in Europe is not the first floor and they had a "in-between" floor so it was actually the 4th floor.

Value for the price. Small yet clean rooms. Almost no sound isolation.||We were welcomed by a nice gentleman upon arrival, however, could not catch the staff when we needed to check out.||The view from our window into the square was beyond any expectations - terrific! They played live concerts all weekend long right in front of our window - we enjoyed a lot :)

Great place to stay and relax after the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compstela. Room and bathroom are very good, free wi-fi and a tv in the room. Breakfast is included but in a do-it-yourself system. The couple who owns the hotel are very friendly and helpful.

For a very reasonable price, this hotel id great if you are visiting Santiago de Compestela for the night and would like a fairly central hotel to sleep in. Very clean, nice rooms and there were even free sweets, teas and coffees. Only problem was that there was no air con, so we had to open the windows and it was quite noisy at night, but it was still a delightful stay.

Stayed here on our last night of our Camino Portuguese. Centrally located near Cathedral and so cheap considering it's location. Very clean and staff so helpful and friendly. Probably needs repainting in some parts but for the service, price & location it's fantastic. Highly recommended
