This review is for L'Excursion Bleue full day Taha'a tour. This was the best tour we did on our recent trip...it was absolutely amazing! Captain Ragi was the BEST....full of fun and mana! The shark/stingray/coral garden swims were perfect and Ragi made sure we all had a blast. He was helpful for those who were reluctant to swim. The motu lunch was incredible and the scenery mesmerizing. The stops at vanilla farm, pearl farm and rum distillery were interesting. We were with a great small group (5) of friendly and funny fellow tour mates, that we have since kept in touch with. The photos of the trip that were provided afterword were perfect keepsakes of an incredible and unforgettable day. If you do one tour while on Raiatea/Taha'a make sure it is the full day L'Excursion Bleue tour!!!! WE LOVED IT.

I can't comment on the price, as we had this place booked via a travel agent as part of a package. The place was quite basic. No aircon. It is 7km from the township, with nowhere nearby to get food - although you do have the option of ordering dinner from a menu, which the hosts will then go and pick up. There are bicycles available to use for no extra cost. My main beef with this place was that I had emailed them before arrival to ask about mosquito nets - they advised that all of the room had mosquito nets fitted, then our room turned out to not have any. The windows has screens, but with fairly big gaps around the screen, where bugs could easily get in. The communal kitchen was good, the washing machine was very much appreciated.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at Trois Cascades and really enjoyed it from start to finish. Bruno and Patrice were really helpful throughout, ordering taxis to and from the airport, helping us with ferries, hiring a car and ordering in food if we want to "eat in." If you have a problem, speak to them and they will sort it for you!||We stayed in a twin room in the shared fare. The room was basic but very clean, fresh towels and toiletries provided and a good fan to protect against mosquitoes (a bit loud but if you are active enough during the day you shouldn't have a problem sleeping).||The two showers and toilets (separate) were again very clean and significantly better than those we have experienced for the same price elsewhere in French Polynesia. The kitchen area is also a big positive. Perfect if you want to eat in as it has all you need for cooking, a big fridge and the necessary utensils. There is also a washing machine (with a giant tub of powder) at your disposal which is free to use. ||Despite being in Tahaa for 3 days, we arranged to do their Excursion Bleue and Bruno arranged for a pick up to the vanilla farm from our hotel and dropped us off by boat at the end of the day. We had a great day with Bruno who is a real character (in a good way). Good natured, honest and brilliantly dead pan (like a British comedian). Both have a strong level of English for non French speakers. For a bit of fun, read previous trip advisor reviews and in particular the responses - brilliant for owners to combat the reviews of some "precious" guests.

Trois Cascades is managed extremely well by Bruno, Patrice and Pierre. The hotel blends in with French Polynesia - low key, well balanced with serenity. The breakfast, which is optional, is excellent with great coffee, juice, bread with jam and local honey, and pancakes. If staying for more than 2 days, you will need to rent a vehicle and Bruno has a local contact for a rental. A drive around the island is absolutely beautiful, and the food served at local restaurants is outstanding. A highlight of the trip is the all day "home made" tour of Tahaa with Bruno & son on an outrigger boat. Not to be missed at any cost!

We booked this pension based on pictures and reviews. The pictures were VERY out of date - the property has had poor attention to maintenance and no attention to improvements or upgrades. We were very disappointed in the overall condition and cleanliness of the property. We tried to enlist Patrice and Bruno's help with our exploration of the island and adjoining island Taha'a, but they were not interested in being helpful. It is a beautiful island, but we were very disappointed in the accommodations.

We stayed in the largest cabin (sleeps 5) at the back of the property. |Pros: Washing machine in unit; full size refrigerator.|Cons: No AC, no screens on windows, no pool, no relief from heat & humidity, no Wifi in unit.|We booked and prepaid for 3 nights. We are both in our 60s and the conditions were a health hazard for my husband. We decided to return to Tahiti 1 day early, hoping the owner would refund the 3rd night (approx $100) but he refused. This pension is probably good for young hikers during the high season, but terrible for seniors during the rainy season.|

As a family, we loved our stay at the Pension les 3 cascades. It's in a quiet location with a clear water creek close by. The owners organised tours for us which were really fantastic and let us use the pushbikes free of charge to head into town. WiFi was available and actually worked great. Thanks so much for an enjoyable stay!

This is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are farily basic but comfortable. There are good self-catering facilties and Wifi was good throughout the property. I opted for half board whereas everyone else staying was self-catering. Meals were not cheap but perfectly reasonale for a hotel, especially in Polynesia. The food was fantastic, well worth paying the extra.||The onwers are extremely helpful and contributed to a very pleasant stay.
