I really loved my stay at Pension Erofili. The staff — and the sweet cat Bella — made the place feel so warm and welcoming. The location is perfect, close to everything yet peaceful. I especially want to highlight the beautiful courtyard, filled with plants and cozy sitting areas, creating such a calm and relaxing atmosphere and I’m truly grateful for how warmly the staff welcomed us. Their kindness and genuine care made my stay feel personal and special, not just like staying at any hotel. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms felt fresh, charming, and well cared for. I will definitely come back and stay here again

I cannot speak highly enough of Pension Erofili and I have stayed many times. We are always warmly welcomed and in fact it feels a little like returning home. The rooms are quiet, immaculately clean and the beds very comfortable. It is also well located in a quiet area but just a short walk from the port. I have recommended Erofili to friends who also agree with me and I can’t wait to return!

Be very wary of the reviews as they're misleading. I'll start with the positives first: WiFi Comfortable bed Good location That's it. I paid a little extra for a room that was described as having a garden view and a shared patio - I was there for 5 nights, I wanted to be comfortable. On arrival I was shown to a room with a street view and no shared patio. It was overlooked by the patio next door and when I said I'd wanted privacy, I was told to 'close the curtains'. In person the room looked tired and dated compared to the pictures - I also realised there had been no pictures of the bathroom in the listing for good reason. Sound from the other rooms carried and I could hear people coughing and talking throughout the day & night. After being woken up from a nap by banging on the room door the following day, I was asked if I wanted my room cleaned. I said no. I came back from a walk, now that I was no longer sleeping, to find they had been in the room & a number of my things were not where I left them. There are no do not disturb signs. I was refused a refund (non refundable booking), despite the fact the service requested and provided was not the one described and paid for on the website at the time of booking. I was offered the option to view their alternative accomodation a few minutes away once there was a vacancy the following day - this is above some restaurants which was the reason I didn't book it in the first place. It had a shared patio, but no garden. I chose a room towards the back because I wanted some quiet & having now been here a couple of days I knew the restaurants/bars could get loud. Here, the room was a bit better & the bathroom definitely an improvement, but the internet didn't work for the duration of my time there. My options were limited due to it being the beginning of the season, but the whole experience genuinely had a negative impact on my trip as I just couldn't relax. There's more, but honestly I'd just avoid it - it's not worth the hassle.

Great location so close to the harbour, discrete with a nice courtyard to relax. All the staff was so cool and helpful. I had a comfortable stay. Managed to leave my luggages there in the check out day, and I spent another relaxing day by the beach. Certainly we will return in the following years. Totally recommend to my family and friends.

Like Hydra itself, there is an understated elegance to Pension Erofili. First off, you can easily walk to it from the harbor, which is great after a long flight and ferry trip. (It's less than a 5 minute walk.) Our room was super clean and quiet, even though the windows opened onto the courtyard. Breakfast was amazing! Most of the pastries were homemade by a woman who works there. It was hard to resist all the delicious Greek dishes, which get you ready to explore the beautiful island. For sure these are not luxurious accommodations, but the dignified elegance of the place (and the reasonable price!) will win you over.

We stayed in the apartment on the top floor for seven nights with a lovely big balcony, perfect for drying our washing etc. We had a separate kitchen as well as a large bedroom and living area and a “quaint” bathroom. The wifi was strong and the air conditioning more than adequate. We loved the home made breakfasts of cheese pies, sweet pastries etc ( thank you Irene for making our favourites on our last days) and all staff were so friendly and welcoming. The central position was also a plus and while taking a shower was a bit of a challenge ( and it was similar in the more expensive Bratsera where we stayed previously)it did not detract from our enjoyment. A very popular restaurant was quite close and occasionally revellers could be heard as they wended their way home. We were sad to leave and will certainly return.

We had a great 2 night stay. The bed was really comfortable, the water was hot and the room was quiet and clean with good A/C. An amazing central location, close to the harbour and loads of nice restaurants nearby. Friendly staff too :)|They also provide beach towels, which is a nice touch.

We found this hotel to be very reasonably priced, clean, comfortable and friendly. It is located on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the port. I would definitively recommend this hotel to any budget conscious traveler. We truly enjoyed our stay on this absolutely lovely island and at this hotel. If I ever get the chance to return to Hydra, l wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
