Where do I start?! FAB location! We had the “double room with balcony” next to the kitchen. The balcony has 2 chairs. The room has “individual” AC units & 2 personal small umbrellas. We were able to check in at 12:30👍great bathroom! Everything is spotlessly clean! This is what is in the kitchen/common rm: microwave, sink, cups, glasses, silverware, bowls, coffee, sugar, milk, iron & board, sunscreen & lotion, beach towels & umbrellas, frig with frzr with ice cube trays👍.computer with printer & shredder, insect repellent, scissors, books, olive oil, salt, corkscrew, cutting board, more teas available for you than I knew even existed! There are hot water makers that Louis said you can bring 1 to your room for making coffee/tea. There are only 3 rooms so the common 2 tables/4chairs are perfect. I may have missed something, but let me say Louis has thought of EVERYTHING you could possibly need on vacay! By far the Best Pension(even hostal & hotel) that we stayed at during our 2 week Spain trip.

Highly recommend!! We stayed 4 nights, were met by Luis at the Pension at 9 pm when our train arrived, Luis was very helpful with information before our stay and upon check in. The room is really spacious (blue room) and clean. Great little balcony. The shared kitchen is great, didn't mind at all you wouldn't often bump into people. Very secure with 3 keys needed to get into your room. They provide sun umbrellas and beach towels, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, near to the beach and the old town. I think if you were in the old town it would be too noisy, so better to stay nearby! Thanks for a great stay, will recommend to anyone looking to stay in San Sebastian.

Perfect location and excellent personal service. They also arranged very convenient parking for us, even though the film festival was on! Clean, comfortable and with a nice breakfast room with free coffee & tea, a toaster and shared refrigerator. Our room had a nice little balcony. They provided excellent pintxos bar recommendations! We would definitely stay here again on our return to San Sebastián.

Of 27 accommodation stays on our big trip so far, this was the best. Perfect location. Very clean, modern, high quality room. Balcony with a view. Great TV with all sorts of options. High speed 5G WiFi. Very comfy bed. Good shower. Shared kitchen where you can make tea. Superb, attentive host who prepared a very thoughtful list of varied recommended tapas bars. Very good value for money.

We stayed in a room with a balcony. The room had air conditioning which was helpful as it was warm the days we were there. The room very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was great having a wardrobe too and I liked the bathroom. The shower worked well too.||The location is great. Walking distance to the beaches, old town as well as the train and bus station. ||The common room was very helpful. So many varieties of tea! I used the kitchen to make cups of tea regularly. There was a microwave and a fridge to use too. We thought we might use the kitchen to cook meals which is why we booked the Pensión, but vegans are spoilt for choice in San Sebastián!||I loved there were beach towels to use and umbrellas. We went swimming 3 days out of 4 so that came in very handy. ||We contacted Luis through what’s app which was great as we were able to let Luis know we were arriving earlier than expected.||Highly recommend.

Great pension in a building with lift between the city center and old town . We stayed in an apartment which was very big with great facilities and equipped kitchen with stove and oven, microwave and washing machine .It is facing back but it was very quite . The A/C worked great during the heat wave.... We had everything we needed. The pension has a common area with fridge and microwave so you take take your breakfast there if you stay in a room . We were provided some beach towels and umbrellas . M.Louis , the owner, was very helpful and the cleaning lady very nice. Thank you for everything .

Our first visit to San Sebastián and we looked for somewhere for an authentic stay and Pensión Joakina did not disappoint. Communication with Luis was excellent from start to finish. The Pension is situated in an ideal part of S.S with easy walking to all the main tourist parts. We booked a room with a small balcony which was ideal to sit late evening and soak up the local atmosphere with a glass of wine. The accommodation was super clean. The use of a communal kitchen with all the necessary equipment with complimentary tea, coffee, milk etc was a great bonus. Although we didn’t use; Luis even provides beach towels and umbrellas. I would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again should I ever visit fabulous San Sebastián again👍😀👍

Stayed here a few nights in May 2022.||Good||1) We had the apartment. Bedroom, living room, kitchen bath. Included a washing machine (great!). Spacious. No ocean views, however. Thought is was a great deal for 125 a night. Included netlfix and such. Pension contains one other room with bath, and two rooms that share. Had a common room as well, with free coffee/tea, laptop for use, beach equipment, and umbrellas.||2) Communication. Had a lot of communication with Luis pretrip. Answered all emails promptly. Speaks English. Provides you with list of restaurants/tapas places. Best to work with him, rather than an internet booking deal.||3) Location. Not in old town, but about 5 minutes from there and beach. Good location if you're looking to see more than old town. Quiet! Small bar/ restaurant next door (Bar LeGarda). Inexpensive plat de dia. English so so, but you'll get by. Nice people.||||Think about||1) About 5 minute walk from bus station, but the signage is small and it's easy to miss. If you hit the Bar LeGarda, too far! It's right next door. ||2) Bus to airport about a minute a way, but the schedule may not work.
