Pensión La Gaviota

Nothing wrong about the place. I was really happy with it. Maybe just bed could be more comfy.

Decent conditions for a 2 stars pension. Very clean. Nice staff. Almost on the beach. 2 supermarkets at 100m and a lot of restaurants. Best ratio price/quality, regarding the location.

Rooms are small and the closet tiny. There is no bold and with two big suitcases it could become a problem but with our two cabin cases and two backpacks it was durable. The noise of the waves is something to be counted with because it could be loud and even annoying if you are not used to it. For me it was relaxing (slept like a baby) my mate had more problems and found the sound annoying witch had his affect on his night rest. The beaches are rocky that's why the sound of the waves is loud.

We paid 70 euros for 2 nights in this nice little Pension. It was right on the sea front and very easy to find. It was clean with comfortable beds and I have seen smaller bathrooms in more expensive hotels. There was also a black out blind, very useful.They obviously discovered it was my husband's birthday from his passport and left a bottle of local liqueur and some nicely packaged biscuits with a Happy Birthday note. The shower curtain was about 4 inches off the tray and therefore totally useless but all in all a very satisfactory visit and tremendous value. There was also a nice little balcony with 2 chairs.

Great accommodation in a brilliant location. Very clean room with a view overlooking the sea. Couldn't be more central! Close to all the restaurants that Playa de Santiago has to offer. Bright and fresh with comfy beds and a great balcony. Highly recommended!

We are on our last night of six in this lovely hotel. Our room faces the sea so we can sit on the balcony and enjoy watching the waves lapping the sea shore. The staff change our towels and empty the bin each day. |Playa de Santiago is a perfect location to explore the island. We hired a car, and have driven around on excellent roads though they twist and turn so speeding is not an option. We have walked most days with two walks having 750m of ascent - so difficult. Then to return to La Gaviota to relax is perfect.

La Gaviota is a small pension with some great seaview rooms, which i enjoyed very much! To wake up with the sunrise just outside your window. It was very clean, there is no fridge but honestly i didn't mind at the end because i was there only to sleep. Stayed for 2 nights only and well next time i would even stay 3 nights. The owner is doing a great job, thanks for a wonderful stay!

Recently and nicely refurbished over a simple bar - though not noisy. All you can hear at night is the crashing of the waves outside. Great value. Bar below does decent sandwiches, donuts and coffee for breakfast.
